Sandy lam and faye wong are two very different vocal style . But I personally feels that sandy has been giving me more surprises and wider in her vocal range . Faye wong do best in her comfort zone with her unique voice .gaia has proven sandy's potential in excelling into a broader range of music be it ambience new age jazz R&b etc etc and the list goes on .
Her big win at the awards should be able to shut all critics up . Just face it sandy lam is a true diva and she is always getting better and better . Less commercial but more artistic and honourable .
To Oliver .I think her big win at the music awards and the awesome Chinese album gaia will be able to convince you . But thanks for taking the time to watch this video .I am sure sandy takes every comments seriously ...That's why she's only getting better and better .can't really think of many artiste her era doing as well as her .

Oliver J, you only ranked this song by commerical sense / value. This is not an Mega IPO that every investor would chip in, instead it was a break through for her own music career. Though I think the MV could have been done better. For her voice, its just awesome. I gave it 8 out of 10 (1 mark deducted from the MV & another 1 mark deducted from being a bit late to release this in her career time line). After all, I admired her courage and persistence.
This has to be one of the most stunning MV in recent years. The music and the visual blend in so perfectly. A new direction from my beloved Sandy Lam. I am so so very proud of you! ;)
I kinda agree that the video is not the best, but I don't think she's trying to appeal to the younger crowd. However, this is one of the songs that the more you listen to, the better it gets

这首歌实在是近期歌坛佳作，sandy 三十年仍在不懈努力，实在让人钦佩！！ 可惜youtube 上这首歌的效果不太好，要听她自己上载的就好的多。
我有一个意见，我觉得她这首歌的MV 不应该自己跳舞，或者跳舞也可以，但MV应该截动态图，然后剪接进行后期制作，不应该用动态拍摄的方法。
佢地鍾意點講就點講, 我只覺得林憶蓮今次隻碟既歌世上未必有另一個人carry得到....

其實個唱腔好似王菲後生個時，超迷幻既中文唱腔，個時王菲 + 張亞東呢個組合好正，好多歌都走得好前衛，但王菲既高峰期都過左了，林憶蓮依家都仲同常石磊玩呢類較破格既歌，夠膽唔跟主流走係好事。

歌風是有點像tori, 但感覺就完全不同, 我唔會因聽"枯榮"而想起tori 任何一首歌, 至於唱得像faye 的只有一句尾最後的一個高音,(但真的很像),而其它完全是憶蓮的聲音, 真的很佩服憶蓬廣東話咬字的工力, 唱得很好聽 A++++
