I am glad I watched this video. I had a mechanic tell me it would take all day.
I’m sure book time is a good 6-8 hours and it’s also a job many don’t want to tackle. The worse part on mine was the transmission lines to be honest.
I have a 2016 Yukon Dinali and cannot find the video but your video helped out! Seems to be somewhat similar
I have to do the same to my Yukon. Good info but I really need to see you taking it apart, especially with the oil pick up.
It just drops out there really isn’t any special trick once the diff is out of the way.
Is it possible to do this without dropping the differential? Im impressed it only took you two hours to do this.
No you have to pull the diff, it doesn’t take long and makes dropping the pan a breeze!
Can I do this on stands on a driveway?
@@Siburta yeah should be able to, long as you take out the diff the pan basically comes straight down.
@@trbokmro thank you
I have to do the same in next month or so on my 2011 Suburban
Do you gotta drop the crossmember?
Yes. And it’s only a few bolts.
Do you remember the size? @@trbokmro
@@TheseBygones I wanna say it was 19mm bolt head and 21mm nut but I could be wrong it’s been a while

@@angeloperez9265 probably best bet to have a shop do your repair I would say.
