The bad thing for me with these type bikes, I ride them hard and go on long gnarly trails and to have something that pretty and nice doesn't make any sense. Every time you take it out you're worried the graphics, wheels, etc. are going to get damaged, which they are. If it's going to sit in your garage and you just marvel over it, that's the perfect bike. It is a beautiful bike!
When I buy a brand new bike, I take the stock plastics off immediately and throw some other ones on. The way I look at it, I get to customize my bike and I’ve got the brand new stock plastics to throw on it when I’m ready to sell
Worth every penny to buy this or the KTM hard enduro. I bought the plain 24 KTM 300 and added the bling and I should have bought the hard enduro. I did add the WP Pro shock and forks though. Best looking husky I have ever seen! Period!
Picking up my TE Pro in the next week or 2. So I'm interested. I'm coming from a 23 TX300. I. Gonna need to get a head and tune but wanted the bigger stator, lights, the new suspension, and really missed oil injection. Had to go pro for the brembo brakes. Can't wait to get mine and see what it's like
That is a sharp looking bike. If the dealership in Edmonton would trade me with a substantial trade on my 2020 te 300 I. I would love to get that grey plastic kit. Very nice. Have fun ride Free
Good looking bike, but I think I have a contrary option on the color. Plastic style and graphics are awesome, but the colors makes it look like something from an old black and white movie. I guess I would have to see one in person. I’d love to have that bike tho. Thanks for sharing 👍
Looks tremendous.. if I’m financing half the cost then I’ll add a few dollars to get the pro.. I’d think a little harder about it if I was paying cash.. I saw one at the dealer and it was the dopest looking bike on the floor
Hopefully you went through with it. I have been wanting the new 24 300xcw. KTM/Husqvarna were doing a .99% finance rate so it was a no Brainer for me. Coming from old Japanese 450s I am loving the 300.
Really none - guys will say better low end, some will say better top end...but at the end of the day the bike can out perform 99.999% of every buyer in stock form. If you compare the stock pipe with the FMF side by side they are exactly the same. I have the same bike (KTM) and have a stock pipe and a KTM gnarly and I did not notice any difference other than looks.
There are noticeable power increases over the whole rev range. It’s more noticeable up top than down low. The stock pipe and this pipe have a bit of a different shape when they’re both in your hands. Slightly different sound as well. This pipe is also stronger than the oem pipe. The gnarly pipe definitely has more low end grunt, but signs off when revving up high. I prefer the fatty over the gnarly. They’re also significantly less in price than the oem pipe. I take the oem off and keep it for when I’m selling the bike.
@@Ride_Tek Are you comparing a stock pipe off of a TPI or TBI bike? I am comparing off of a TBI bike. Sound different, yes...tougher than stock, maybe a little but I've noticed TBI pipes are tougher than the TPI bikes.
@@onthethrottle7104 I’m talking about tbi bikes. I own a 23 300xc, a 24 te300 and a 24 XC-W. I run the fmf factory fatty on all of those bikes. The factory fatty is stronger than the oem pipe and offers a better power over the full rev range. This is also true of my previous tpi bikes. Are you suggesting the fmf doesn’t offer any power or durability benifits over the oem pipe?
The '24 models are basically exactly the same now, except I think TE comes with Braktek on the non-Pros if there's still a supply shortage (so the $100 less KTM is a better deal).
Congrats on the Pro, it looks incredible! What can you say about the seat hight ? Im 6fee5.5 and really like the look on the Husqvarnas, also PDS vs Linkage? Opinion? , would you say its a big diffrenece seat wise with the specs saying the KTM is taller ? PS , I look for tall bikes haha, and also I see you're using Bolt's accesories , skidplate and chain guide haha, so would I haha, being obsessed with his Factory Husky I noticed a thing, and dont really see it on other consumer bikes, I think he has more rear wheel travel , eighter way the shock is a tad longer of the linkage is a little different, or I may as well be wrong , considering the tall seat makes the bikes look different.
If you accidentally hit the start button while it’s running, does the starter engage, explode the bendix, and lock up the motor, like other aftermarket switches? Or, is there an interlock?
To be clear, if you hit the start button while the bike is running it's not good for them but it doesn't just explode or break. We've all hit the start button on accident while the bike is running and no issues. The issue that causes the bendix to explode, is when you accidentally hit the start button, and an aftermarket button keeps the starter engaged for a very long period of time and you don't hear it and don't know it until it's too late. Problem solved would be to just keep the stock button and if you do accident'y hit it while the motor is running it's no big deal, it's not going to do any damage and it won't stay engaged. Hope that helps.
headlight on husky looks like its from 1972.....shape of plastic and a huge lens is the only thing am not a fan of other than that its looks really good, i kinda bashed harden enduro price but after your all said and done, you would have more $$$ into the bike if you did it on your own.....really hard to negotiate on these as well where I am at......they run about 4k more than standard version saw the harden enduro for first time yesterday....I like the KTM overall look a lil better but at same time you see orange bikes everywhere......
You really didn't go over what would make it worth almost 2K more than the standard edition. It looks great but honestly the only real upgrades are the fan and the brembo brakes which you could add to the standard model and still have money left over for guards etc. Everything else is just bling really.
You should price out what a set of new Brembo brakes cost. Calipers and master cylinders. Full setup. Bractec are garbage! The bike also has front and rear disc guards, linkage guard, tugger strap, radiator fan, axle pull, functional ribbed seat, Galfer solid rear disc and floating front disc (price those out), Supersprox rear sprocket, and don’t forget the special edition Excell wheels. All of these items total far more than the $1700 difference between the standard model and the pro model. Not to mention this bike is far better looking and will have a better resale value than the standard model. Easily worth it to me! I’ll take one over the standard model all day any day!
@@Ride_Tek tbh I have not priced out the brakes. I've been on a few bikes with Bractec and I thought they were fine, much better than the Magura brakes Husky's had before, Brembo is still better. The front disc guard is a cheap plastic piece, you replaced the skidplate and rear disc guard so you can't those. Tugger straps $60-80/set. Seat cover is nice. The rest, sprocket, rotors, wheels are nice but IMO don't add value as they are not something people will notice in terms of performance. Don't get me wrong, it's a killer bike and I'd love to have one as well. Congrats on the new ride!
@@cdnmoto849 The Bractec have gotten better than the previous years. Still not Brembo. It sounds like you are just wanting to be right. You go right ahead with that. @@cdnmoto849 if you built it just like that, it would cost well over $1700 without labor, KTM comes with triple clamps as well but not sure about Husky.....most that have built standard bikes wish they would have started with this platform after the fact.... the issue is you have to pony up from get go and somehow that sticker shock throws off people not realizing you will be well over that amount $200 at a time for the next 6 months,.....
@@kirkdunn1379 fan, rotor guards, that's about all it comes with that you'd be adding to the base model. The rest is bling. I don't think many people would buy the fancy wheels etc. The Brembo brakes are an upgrade for sure but the base model should already have Brembo IMO as husky is supposed to be the "premium" KTM brand. So, not saying the sum of the parts isn't equal to $1700 or more rather a lot of it is not parts you'd add if you bought the standard edition. The bike is amazing can't deny that.
