After a long hiatus, I am back to the hobby now for ~1.5 years... and following Warhipster since then, learning from the videos. And now, I am painting Asmodai and indeed, the brushwork is amazing and shows me how much of an amateur I am.
I'm late! I'm late! I have not even start my Belial yet... I've to prepare Asmodai... The smoke effect is far easier that I was thinking... but honestly, I don't like the black templar coat for the bottom part of the smoke. The first time I saw the miniature for the video I was thinking the fig was not finished... I think I will use a dark grey rather than black... but honestly this Asmodai is still gorgeous.

This was great. Looking forward to painting this model soon. I am toying with the idea of adding some purple into the smoke as well
your brush work makes me cry I love the videos but makes know I have so much to learn. I'm love my dark angles but know they need improving

Why did you Paint the armor with Black Legion and not Black Templar? wouldn't there be more highlights?

It is indeed! There’s an optional backpack in the box that lets you do either smoke on or smoke off. Same as there’s a hood up or hood down option.

It is indeed the kit is designed with two different backpack toppers so you can do it with smoke or without and hood up or hood down.
