I like the jumper you have on, I like what you started with the deer I bet it looks great when you finish it and yes you dont need to rush. The top part is looking good I am on the left side of the cardigan I heard on the radio windy weather coming and rain, I dont mind I did a bit of shopping today and food can last for many days. I went to the vet today to pick up my cats and dogs' worming tablets and flea and then went to a few secondhand shops in one of the shops I got Trousers I have washed them. I always chat with people and many phone me when they need to talk, about the red lace you could use on underwear. Love the video
Thank you Pamela, sounds like you had a busy day. Your cardigan is coming along nicely. It is meant to be windy and raining for a fwe days to come but it is winter so I expect it. Glad you found something useful in your charity shop, a nice pair of trousers is great to have. Take care ☺
Thanks for posting! I am enjoying getting to see you and your work process a bit more than the weeklies allow. I like the ears up better too on the reindeer. That whole ears down thing looks like a Japanese influence, like the manga animals, if that makes sense. It's work just to post, so give yourself more credit that you're getting more done than you're acknowledging. I love that blue sweater. The lines are just wonderful, aren't they! When I was about 14-18 years old (61 now!), I had one of those romantic poet kinds of shirts. It was double breasted with that great angle button-up collar, then the sleeves were HUGE at the shoulder and tapered down at the elbow, where it buttoned up like a Victorian thing, halfway back up to the elbow. It was a deep purple cotton, and I loved it soooo much. Once you get a good corset body shape, you could make a larger one-piece pattern of the whole shape, then you could transpose pieces over future pattern pieces. See you tomorrow! :-) ps. and in the Christmas season, you should stop at the thrift as often as you like! There will be lots of sales and turnover! (I live to be a bad influence...)
Thank you Deanya, your shirt that you used to have sounds really nice, I expect it would be hard to find something like that now. I don't mind you being a bad influence ☺
I have made rabbits and bears, some I drafted others from patterns. It's a diversion, but you run out of reasons to keep repeating them. I watch a young lady on TH-cam, who makes everything by hand. Inspired by her, I have made a patchwork scarf for a Christmas present. I stopped counting when I reached 3000 stitches. I really wanted to see if I could do it. It took me three days, I have osteoarthritis so my hands don't work like they did. That was another reason to do it before my hands stop altogether. Well done for doing this marathon video malarkey. It must take a lot of time. Thank you.
I’m also a quiet person, don’t need tonnes of friends (too much to manage), but I do enjoy chatting with strangers 😀. Maybe that’s why I enjoy your channel!
I think a lot of sewers enjoy their alone time, I know I do. I have made several characters from the Luna Lapin books and I have found the head is the tricky part. Once you get that done the body goes fast. They are a lot of fun to make and a great way to use up scrapes. I have used clothes from my parents wardrobe to make the clothes, that gives them a special touch.
Hi Jan, I made a couple of memory bears and the head was the tricky part. Using clothes from your parents is a lovely thing to do, makes them personal ☺
I think we'll all forget what day we're on over the next few weeks! Good progress on the deer and the dress. Watching to see how they turn out. I may try and find a different charity shop to visit, as the one I usually donate stuff to hardly has anything sewing related. I was lucky to find a couple of lengths of suiting wool a few weeks ago, but that was it. I did get some similar lining to yours from a charity shop a number of years ago, and I used it not long ago as a test for the size of my coat that I am supposed to be making. The pattern suggested using the lining pieces for a muslin. It was quite thick for a dressmaking lining, so I wondered if it was something to do with curtain making, but I'm not sure.
Hi Diane, the next few weeks will be barmy which is why I'm trying to stay calm and collected. It may have been curtain lining but a great choice to line a coat as the extra thickness I think will help keep the structure needed. Hope you make a nice garment from the suiting wool you found ☺
That jumper you have on really suits you, especially with the slightly puff sleeves. Aww the little ears are done 🦌👏🏼 Just happened to pop into the Charity shop eh?! 😂. You are such a kind soul 😊. If you are losing count on day 4, in a week or two there is no hope 😂. Thanks for the video 😊
You may be on the quiet side, but you have a wonderful personality and a great sense of humor : ) Always enjoy your videos - actually, look forward to them. See you tomorrow.
Hi 👋 Great find for the lining 👌 I'm a very quite person aswell. I never used to be. Being a Gemini 😂 I have not be sweing lately a little unmotivated with all the very high hot weather we have been getting. I did some thrift shopping this morning. 1 dress & 2 summer tops all for $3.00 AU 1 pair of earings 50c and a brand new pair of slippers for $2.00. I was very happy with that. Enjoying your Vlogmass ❤

Hi Carole, thank you. I was given the jumper by a friend and it is so cosy. I will have to write the number on my hand so I get it right ☺

Thank you Gina, very kind of you to say so ☺
Hi 👋
Great find for the lining 👌
I'm a very quite person aswell.
I never used to be. Being a Gemini 😂
I have not be sweing lately a little unmotivated with all the very high hot weather we have been getting.

Thank you Betru, sounds like a fantastic thrift you had. Some great finds ☺
Be aware that some lining fabrics should not be washed. You want to pre-wash all fabric as you would the finished garment. Safe not sorry.
Thank you Tana, I have found that some fabrics launder better than others so I try to be careful how I mix fibers when making things ☺
How do you organize your materials? You've shown us the rag bag, but do you try to keep linings together, duck heads together... ;-)
Hi Deanya, my fabric is a bit random. I tend to just find a space in my draws and in it goes till I want to use it. ☺
If you take that red lace and put it on some black satin, you can be in Moulin Rouge!
Hi Cher, thanks for that suggestion it sounds great 🙂
