Almost Human: have always loved DP & their music. Love the later period DP so number 8 & 5 are 2 of my favorites. Produced by Greg Rike at his studio in Orlando. Cheers! 🥨
Oh yes!!! I LOVE deep Purple! Was learning on organ Highway Star. I’m mainly a guitarist, and was doing Getting Tighter which was fun to play, but nobody knows it! 🤷🏼♂️ Like Prizm Take me to your Captain. Great tune, but nobody will dance to it…and in my town…we need em to dance, so the metal band will do shows! Rock on this is a great episode!
Loved M2 and 3 best!!! Three of the best singers of all time! I think the ranking was great! Spot on, and agree about Bananas, and Burn!!! Love that song! Thank you so much Ralph.
Solid list!! I would've had 'Slaves & Masters' way higher, but whatever....Nothing about today's lineup would lead me to believe 'In Rock' will be surpassed.
When I first got into the band, it was all about the first lineup. And the Address, Mandrake Root, Wring That Neck... those are still some of the first songs I think about when it comes to Deep Purple. Fireball and Burn were the doors to the other lineups. Incredible overall discography, and as a huge live album (real and "fake") devotee, big points to "Made in Japan"!
Come Taste the Band was great. Love me live in Europe! Burn and Stormbringer….epic drum solo!!! Ian Paice is a beast! There was a comment made back then that “Blackmore plays Blues so good, it’d make a black man stand up”. Quite a thing to say! Also, very true! Ritchie could play!
The House Of Blue Light is a special album with in my opinion 3 good songs. But Slaves And Masters is great. Songs like Fortuneteller, Wicked Ways or King Of Dreams are awesome!
How much do I love Ritchie? I once drove 6 hrs each way, by myself, to watch Blackmore's Night, just so I could see Ritchie at least once. Love Purple, one of my first "heavy bands"
Great list! For me, Purple is Blackmore, Lord and Paice. If them three aren't involved it's not really Deep Purple though the Bolin era is interesting. I'm not saying the other albums are bad musically..they might be great! It just doesn't interest me, that's all
I wasn’t interested in the Morse era stuff until I listened to Purpendicular, Abandon and Bananas. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot. All three are very good and Steve Morse brings a musicality to the band that had been missing for a long time
@@anthonytice3028 yeah, I appreciate that. It's just I'm more into a certain 'sound' that they had. TBH I'm not really into anything after Blackmore originally left in the '70's. Perfect Strangers had its moments but I really love that gritty, aggressive rock n roll sound they had back in the day. Morse era just sounds too soft to my ears. A bit too polished to grab my interest. I'm not a big fan of the 'modern' aesthetic when it comes to sound
I saw the reunion /perfect strangers tour girlschool opened, and were basically getting booed while doing a 25 minute set, poor girls were in. Deep shit. I was a runny nose pup with cool cousins who took me to shows. Great gig ralph 6 yellow wet empty barrels for ya!!!

Strong catalog.
Love the House of Blue light and WDWTWA. Underrated.
Thanks Ralph. You’re the man.
My pleasure!

I agree with the top 3

In Rock is in my Top 5 favorite albums of all time.
I also love The Battle Rages On, that album rocks! It's In my top 10 for sure! Perpendicular is my #1!

🤘IN ROCK🤘 agreed
I never understood how they went from Perfect Strangers to House of Blue.
Deep Purple In Rock is the best ever.
In rock
Machine head
Burn
Fireball
Perfect strangers
Storm bringer
The battle
I even like deepest rainbow
I like The House of Blue Light, not their best but I like it.
Yeah I agree. It’s underrated. They definitely have worse albums
The very last album released was cover songs they liked, I noticed it wasn't included?
Did not add it because it's covers. If I did it would be at the bottom. Did not like it at all.
@@almosthuman56 Yeah,I didn't care for it either.

Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame is a pile of crap. Only Mike and Sammy went for VG? 😂❤❤❤❤

I saw the same tour. Luckily Girlschool did not get booed and went ober well at the Hollywood Sportatorium.
