@@teenking2275 Dub. The source material is a british book and the dub literally takes lines out of it for its translation, so it is the more accurate version in the end.

@@logans.butler285 Why can’t it be compared to Spirited Away and Totoro? Are you just talking about the animation quality? On a story level it’s easily better than any Miyazaki film. It’s a faithful adaptation of a novel after all.

This movie deeply destroyed my feelings , I thought that Anna has a deep crush on Marnie but no , it seems that Marnie was Anna's grandma spirit , When Anna returned home we'll and healthy , She saw Marnie waving her goodbye , truly heartbreaking 💔

Witch? Why did they call this character a witch anyway she just a simple girl with a basket of flowers
The implication is that they think she is a Gypsy / Traveller / Romani girl that Marnie has brought in to humiliate (sophisticated people), who traditionally sell violets wrapped in silver paper, in exchange for 'crossing their palms with silver' or they curse you if you refuse.
Calling her a witch implies they aren't scared of her (sophisticated people), and that this is just an amusement arranged for them.
If Anna is actually time-travelling here (or the party people are ghosts), then she hasn't made a difference to anyone but made Marnie (actually the shade of Anna's grandmother) happier.
Actually, it was just memory from her grandmother story , she just reliving the story through his grandfather eyes , the kid that dances with Marnie was not Anna but it was actually her Grandfather.
I only watch this anime original novel and I interest in this movie , especially its studio

How come there's a flower girl even though it's not a wedding?
In the book, which is set in England, it’s a gypsy girl selling flowers. That wouldn’t make sense in Japan though, where the film is set.
They call her a witch, because Gypsy women selling flowers will curse you if you don't pay them. It was believed once.
