    Thank you so much for showing us these EASY framing techniques. Every other video I've watched only shows the whole hog super thorough techniques which will only keep me from ever getting around to framing my stuff. 😆

    I'm a teacher - in the states I've taught in in the U.S. we've always called it a cutting board. Thanks for the quick easy tip!

    It is called a guillotine! Thank you for all this info. I have a pile that need to be framed in a square frames and I’ve been avoiding it.

    omg the etsy shop rec for custom frames is so perfect for me right now.. i only started cross stitch two months ago and havent known what to do with some of my more oddly proportioned pieces.. i wasnt sure if custom sizing was a thing that was available affordably and ive had some projects just sitting in a drawer waiting for me to find a frame lol thanks SO much

    This was so helpful! The sticky mount has always intimidated me but it’s actually so easy!

    Thanks for the tips. Try using exacto knife and ruler to cut the self-stick board!!

    Just came across your video. I like your quick method for mounting your cross stitch but as a quilter we use batting on top of the sticky board to protect the piece. Also use a rotary cutter to cut the sticky board. Kimberly Jolly at Fat Quarter Shop FlossTube has some great tutorials for finishing pieces.

    Those sure were some 🧀y stitches lol! Love em. And thanks for clear tutorial! I need to frame my completed gift. Due to actually getting hold of board and such I think I might go for the sewing method. Do you recommend cutting it down to like yours was, only excess fabric on one side so to speak? Mine would have overflow on the vertical and the horizontal. Concerned about bulk in the corners

    Guillotine paper cutter my mother used to use one all the time she was a secretary at the church for over 30 years just discovered you I’m a guy and I’ve been stitching for over 35 years and I’ve always avoided framing my stitches and at this point I have about 40 completed stitches that I have refused to frame on my own.
    Some are from the early 80’s lol.
    It’s so very expensive to have somebody do it I’ve had a couple done like one of those box frames that go deep and a couple other custom frames. This video was extremely helpful it’s encouraging me to tackle my stitches my unframed stitches🙂
    It didn’t just drag on.
    Oh, cutting the materiel to size really scares me as I might mess up

    Thanks for the tips. I'm obsessed with the chihuahua cross stitch behind you. I looked at your etsy shop to see if it is one of your patterns but I don't see it. Can you share where you got it? I'd love to do one myself.

    If you didn’t cut the last sample you could havepulled tight the canvas and use a glue gun…cut out the triangle on the corners so it’s not bulky…to make sure it didn’t move, just pin it like so many others do 🤷🏻‍♀️for the most part very simple 🙏🏽🙋🏻‍♀️👍🏽

    What type of ruler did you use to measure and cut your cross stitches?

    “Sticky board” can make your piece yellow over time.

    • @8BitStitch
      @8BitStitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose that makes sense since it’s probably glue. Hopefully modern sticky birds take that into account and adjust formulas. I have only recently started using them so haven’t experienced it yet. Thanks for the tip.

    Is the self mounting sticky reversible? I am afraid I may want to change it to an ornament one day

    Great videos! I am new to stitching and love it.
    I see that many people wash their project before framing - Did you do this as well or just what was in the video? Thx!!

    • @8BitStitch
      @8BitStitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am actually in the middle of filming a how to wash your cross-stitch video! I wash some and others I do not it depends on how long they took me to stitch.
