Lorianne, you were absolutely right about curlfest. Many people I know just walked straight into the event. They were already having a good time while many ticket holders were still standing on line, waiting on a swag bag. Great thing above all it was a cool day and it didn't rain till much later.

The watermelon smelling one is $10 for the summer. And the best way to buy soultanicals is on their holiday sales. I just stock up for the year the when everything is 50% off. Ladies your hair came out beautifully 😍 love it! You try more of the treatment from them, my fav is the hibiscus, the afrotastic and the fro despair vitamin hair repair. Absolutely the best. The can’t believe it’s not butter is the better of the styler, the Marula maru moisture guru is great for moisture though
Yesterday I did a wash n go with the I cant believe is knot butta with a leave in (use the LCO method) and my wash n go is holding great. I use the mango dip detangling slip as the leave in and I believe it is a winning combo. Just thought to let you know in case you want to try it 😉
Before I forget to mention, when you do go to apply the foam please don't rub it btwn your hands before applying It! I see so many people do that and I cringe Lol As someone who has used mousse for years and years the aeration in it is what helps the application of it. When you rub it btwn your hands you're sorta popping all the bubbles. What I do it spray it into one palm and take half with the other hand and go right into the section I'm applying it to. I hope this helps! Love you ladies and the notion of you two having your own line of hair care products is getting more real to me..I SEE IT!!!!

I'm a fan of soultanicals and like you two their best products are their conditioners. I have my holy grails but must say that I don't think I realized I can't believe its butta is a curling cream. I always thought it was a moisturizer. I will have to revisit it after seeing this. I know I will need a gel to pair it with though.
@Lori, usually when my hair gets tangly at the end like that it’s either dry from not conditioning properly or in a hot minute, overconditioned, splits, over wash and going (like doing it excessively for me) or just dry from not receiving a lot of product. Your ends might have been yelling for some product! lol, amazing results!

I love your results ladies! Yay pay pal and I know a P.O. BOX is next!That's tragic that you didn't like the scrub! I can see exactly why because the jojoba beads got lost within the very thick and viscus base. The briogeo scalp scrub is the best on the market after I use that it feels like my scalp is breathing and blood flow which in turn helps with hair growth! Once before when I visited a salon a stylist said that they add brown sugar to their finger tips on top of the shampoo lather in their hair when they want a deep scrub to relieve dandruff and product build up. Also I really do like the marula watermelon refresher too! Watermelon is one of mh favorite scents I love it in Curl Mix and the mane choice ancient Egyptian line! Side note: The creme restore RESTORED MY HAIR! I used it today and it left my hair SO SOFT AND DETANGLED! I had a photo shoot today and I cannot thank you guys enough for the recommendation! Lorianne do you detangle with your conditioner? I had that problem with my ends when I was just finger detangling only, now I finger, use a wide tooth comb and detangling brush while my deep conditioner is in and I no longer have that problem!!

M.A.D.CURLS Yeah they do their salon size sale 3 or 4 times a year (I think, I could be wrong) and the sale lasts for a week or two, or while supplies last. This year so far, they did salon sizes for the styling products and last month they did one for their cleansers.
I loved how both of your hair came out even though Taylor didn't like it. So far the knot sauce and the pumpkin kaolin detox clay (seasonal item) are my favorite I just received the hair oil Bloom by them with the new packaging.
I was so excited about that scalp scrub and then was so disappointed. I could hardly get the beads out of my hair and yet it didn't exfoliate at all. I've had better luck with adding sugar to my cowash before cleansing. For some reason I keep ordering from Soultanicals hoping I'll find some more hits, but there's just too many duds for me. M.A.D.CURLS I tried the Frozen gel this week and it was amazing. It gave me shine, hold in this crazy humidity and lasted for days. I was afraid it would be crunchy, but it wasn't. Yay! Another hit!

Hey lovelies, I just recently used the maru-melon moisture guru as a styling AND leave in conditioner and it worked like a dream! Now, I have fine hair so it probably wouldnt work like that with thicker hair, who knows?! The smell is sooooo delicious too💞Anywat, just thought I'd put that out there. 😄😄
Maybe fine high porosity naturals in highly humid climates suffer from moisture overload with glycerin even in rinse outs, almost like leaving in a deep conditioner for too long. My low porosity hair loves glycerin in my rinse outs even in South Florida because it really draws the water into my hair and my hair takes sooo long to get wet. Without glycerin, I have to deep condition for 1 hr minimum with a heat cap. High glycerin cuts it to 30 for me without a cap.

Lisa Jordan Lots of questions. OK 😂 there is absolutely no particular reason or rhyme why we apply our products differently or how we apply them individually. We have different lengths of hair so perhaps we just do what’s the quickest and most efficient way for each of us. We never studied it that closely. Our tutorials are based on product information and results no tricks up our sleeve. We believe that the stronger hold the product gives the better chance for the Curl definition to last for more than 1 or 2 days, therefore the better chance for your Wash and Go to last for more than 1 or 2 days. This we have learned from experience. Do you have a particular way to apply your product that works best for you. And Do you look for hold in your products? 🤓💕➰-LoriAnne
M.A.D.CURLS Hi girls😉, i always rake the products through my hair, but that is because i am used to it.I'm not really looking for hold in a product but i like to use a little bit of medium hold gel on top of my styling product, orherwise i get more frizz and flyaways depending on how well the styling product works.Today i had a strange experience, i always found the sheamoisture curl enhancing smoothie a little bit too heavy for my hair. But after my experience with Cantu curl activator cream my opinion has changed 😁.A long time ago(10years) i tried the cantu naturals sheabutter leave in conditioner, and the results where exactly the same as today☹️.I looks like my hair doesn't absorb the product or the product is way too heavy and not in a normal way, i never had such a strange experience with a styling product, and i used such a tiny amount(peasize), i never used that little product.It acts like a relaxer for my hair, the curls where gone and i had flat,thin, frizzy hair and my ponytail was very smal and flat, like a had little hair.I try to find the reason but i guess it's because of an ingredient or too much oils or something. But i don't get that because the sheamoisture curl enhancing smoothie also has a lot of oils and sheabutter in it. But that doesn't make my hair flat and looking thin without curl forming.So i guess these are symptoms that a product is way too heavy of don't absorb into your hair.Have you ever had an epxerience like this with a product?😘
Lisa Jordan It has been my experience from time to time if I don’t “take or shake” a product through my hair to encourage Curl formation and definition my curls could have the tendency to straighten out and get thin and stiff. But you said you take the product through your hair, so it seems you are applying it right. Yes, then I would agree. The product may just be too heavy. Do you have an established curl pattern? My hair has an established 3b Curl pattern so it is already curly. Products just make it look so much better.
M.A.D.CURLS i forgot to say that the first day my hair looked good(my profile photo is the wash n go with cantu), the product didn't look to heavy for my hair, but the next day when i took my hair down and refreshed it with a waterspray bottle it was lifeless and flat, my curls where gone after my hair got dry after rewetting it.My curl pattern is 3c with at the back a little more like 3b(i guess) i always have curls if my hair is wet and has moisture enough. I don't understand why this product is making my hair looking and acting so strange.And the smell of the product 😣such a strong sweet unpleasant smell haha.

Very nice results. Your definition is good. I don't think that product is for me, I need more hold. I am trying to wean off buying anymore new products for the summer and use what I have. After our witch hunt for products with glycerin, (BTW our beloved Quidad Nourishing Oil Shampoo also has glycerin), I am going to stick to what I know works, until the weather becomes more civilized. The watermelon smelling one is $10 for the summer. And the best way to buy soultanicals is on their holiday sales. I just stock up for the year the when everything is 50% off. Ladies your hair came out beautifully 😍 love it! You try more of the treatment from them, my fav is the hibiscus, the afrotastic and the fro despair vitamin hair repair. Absolutely the best. The can’t believe it’s not butter is the better of the styler, the Marula maru moisture guru is great for moisture though
Yesterday I did a wash n go with the I cant believe is knot butta with a leave in (use the LCO method) and my wash n go is holding great. I use the mango dip detangling slip as the leave in and I believe it is a winning combo. Just thought to let you know in case you want to try it 😉

Before I forget to mention, when you do go to apply the foam please don't rub it btwn your hands before applying It! I see so many people do that and I cringe Lol As someone who has used mousse for years and years the aeration in it is what helps the application of it. When you rub it btwn your hands you're sorta popping all the bubbles. What I do it spray it into one palm and take half with the other hand and go right into the section I'm applying it to. I hope this helps!

I'm a fan of soultanicals and like you two their best products are their conditioners. I have my holy grails but must say that I don't think I realized I can't believe its butta is a curling cream. I always thought it was a moisturizer. I will have to revisit it after seeing this. I know I will need a gel to pair it with though.
@Lori, usually when my hair gets tangly at the end like that it’s either dry from not conditioning properly or in a hot minute, overconditioned, splits, over wash and going (like doing it excessively for me) or just dry from not receiving a lot of product. Your ends might have been yelling for some product! lol, amazing results!

I love your results ladies! Yay pay pal and I know a P.O. BOX is next!That's tragic that you didn't like the scrub! I can see exactly why because the jojoba beads got lost within the very thick and viscus base. The briogeo scalp scrub is the best on the market after I use that it feels like my scalp is breathing and blood flow which in turn helps with hair growth! Once before when I visited a salon a stylist said that they add brown sugar to their finger tips on top of the shampoo lather in their hair when they want a deep scrub to relieve dandruff and product build up. Also I really do like the marula watermelon refresher too! Watermelon is one of mh favorite scents I love it in Curl Mix and the mane choice ancient Egyptian line! Side note: The creme restore RESTORED MY HAIR! I used it today and it left my hair SO SOFT AND DETANGLED! I had a photo shoot today and I cannot thank you guys enough for the recommendation! Lorianne do you detangle with your conditioner? I had that problem with my ends when I was just finger detangling only, now I finger, use a wide tooth comb and detangling brush while my deep conditioner is in and I no longer have that problem!!

What I like to do to keep my hair from tangling again after I deep condition, it’s to twist sections up before I clip them up to style, just a little tip that really helps

M.A.D.CURLS Yeah they do their salon size sale 3 or 4 times a year (I think, I could be wrong) and the sale lasts for a week or two, or while supplies last. This year so far, they did salon sizes for the styling products and last month they did one for their cleansers.

I was so excited about that scalp scrub and then was so disappointed. I could hardly get the beads out of my hair and yet it didn't exfoliate at all. I've had better luck with adding sugar to my cowash before cleansing. For some reason I keep ordering from Soultanicals hoping I'll find some more hits, but there's just too many duds for me. Love you guys.

Maybe fine high porosity naturals in highly humid climates suffer from moisture overload with glycerin even in rinse outs, almost like leaving in a deep conditioner for too long. My low porosity hair loves glycerin in my rinse outs even in South Florida because it really draws the water into my hair and my hair takes sooo long to get wet. Without glycerin, I have to deep condition for 1 hr minimum with a heat cap. High glycerin cuts it to 30 for me without a cap.
I think the results look great! Have not tried Soultanicals.

Lisa Jordan Lots of questions. OK 😂 there is absolutely no particular reason or rhyme why we apply our products differently or how we apply them individually. We have different lengths of hair so perhaps we just do what’s the quickest and most efficient way for each of us. We never studied it that closely. Our tutorials are based on product information and results no tricks up our sleeve. We believe that the stronger hold the product gives the better chance for the Curl definition to last for more than 1 or 2 days, therefore the better chance for your Wash and Go to last for more than 1 or 2 days. This we have learned from experience. Do you have a particular way to apply your product that works best for you. And Do you look for hold in your products? 🤓💕➰-LoriAnne
M.A.D.CURLS Hi girls😉, i always rake the products through my hair, but that is because i am used to it.I'm not really looking for hold in a product but i like to use a little bit of medium hold gel on top of my styling product, orherwise i get more frizz and flyaways depending on how well the styling product works.Today i had a strange experience, i always found the sheamoisture curl enhancing smoothie a little bit too heavy for my hair. But after my experience with Cantu curl activator cream my opinion has changed 😁.A long time ago(10years) i tried the cantu naturals sheabutter leave in conditioner, and the results where exactly the same as today☹️.I looks like my hair doesn't absorb the product or the product is way too heavy and not in a normal way, i never had such a strange experience with a styling product, and i used such a tiny amount(peasize), i never used that little product.It acts like a relaxer for my hair, the curls where gone and i had flat,thin, frizzy hair and my ponytail was very smal and flat, like a had little hair.I try to find the reason but i guess it's because of an ingredient or too much oils or something. But i don't get that because the sheamoisture curl enhancing smoothie also has a lot of oils and sheabutter in it. But that doesn't make my hair flat and looking thin without curl forming.So i guess these are symptoms that a product is way too heavy of don't absorb into your hair.Have you ever had an epxerience like this with a product?😘
Lisa Jordan It has been my experience from time to time if I don’t “take or shake” a product through my hair to encourage Curl formation and definition my curls could have the tendency to straighten out and get thin and stiff. But you said you take the product through your hair, so it seems you are applying it right. Yes, then I would agree. The product may just be too heavy. Do you have an established curl pattern? My hair has an established 3b Curl pattern so it is already curly. Products just make it look so much better.
M.A.D.CURLS i forgot to say that the first day my hair looked good(my profile photo is the wash n go with cantu), the product didn't look to heavy for my hair, but the next day when i took my hair down and refreshed it with a waterspray bottle it was lifeless and flat, my curls where gone after my hair got dry after rewetting it.My curl pattern is 3c with at the back a little more like 3b(i guess) i always have curls if my hair is wet and has moisture enough. I don't understand why this product is making my hair looking and acting so strange.And the smell of the product 😣such a strong sweet unpleasant smell haha.

Very nice results. Your definition is good. I don't think that product is for me, I need more hold. I am trying to wean off buying anymore new products for the summer and use what I have. After our witch hunt for products with glycerin, (BTW our beloved Quidad Nourishing Oil Shampoo also has glycerin), I am going to stick to what I know works, until the weather becomes more civilized.
