i ran an A/V design and install firm with a business partner many moons ago. One day my partner decided he really wanted to get ahead of a project, and he wanted to cut out the speaker holes throughout the condo (12 rooms), but he hadn't received the speaker shipment which off course had the cut out templates. So he called the manufacturer and they gave him the cut out diameter. He went and cut out all the speakers, and 2 weeks later when we went to install the speakers, we realized that the manufacturer had actually given him the diameter of the speaker, not the cut outs. There was some serious freaking out, and discussions around how much it was going to cost us to pay the sheet rocker to fix all 24 of our holes. Ultimately I designed a solution using $50 of product from tap plastics to extend the speaker dogs with a 'donut' to extend the speaker diameter past the cut outs. The problem? An inability to just wait for the right parts. The solution? Slow. The Fuck. Down.

Yes, and sometimes that may be necessary, but if it's not a big job I think it makes more sense to just walk away.
Sorry to miss the live stream and the chats may have presented a solution for the boat guy installing cabinets. My solution would be to creat a “level/flat” line that references the room in the boat so the install is square with its surroundings. A boat in constant motion on the water will never show true level for any length of time so being square to the room proper will create the visual reference for a successful install. Drawers and doors - proper function is a major consideration of course.
That sounds like a pretty good solution too
Later in the video I heard many good solutions/discussion about the boat guy and I found that I had posted a solution that had been proposed but decided to leave it posted since I am not sure where the chats disappear to. Thanks for all you are doing Ray! I heard you mentioned during a "2-much-handyman" Live stream. It went 10 hours and I watched it after the fact. I can't remember the exact comment but it was to the effect that your channel is having an impact and is on the radar! Congrats. @@bulletproofhandyman
I'll have to go check that out, I'm not even aware of that channel.
The Handyman (big channel) who also has The Handyman Business (silghtly less big) found that his sponsorships were getting in the way of being real and regular on his channels (as I understand it) so he made another 2 Much Handyman and this channel is certainly real and he says pretty much whatever he wants! Not for the faint of heart or less than manly manly men. (just as a forewarning). @@bulletproofhandyman
I found it, and listened to all 10 hours on 2x playback speed. I didn't hear him mention me, but I'm listening again at 2x speed. I wish you could search TH-cam transcripts or something lol. I did hear a couple of people try to mention me in the comments but he didn't respond at the times that I heard that. Do you remember if it was closer to the beginning, middle or end?
