Great song and act, and I've just watched a documentary about how big they were. Meanwhile, I'm 58 years old and can't believe I've never heard of this band til now..!
In the 60s the 50s dance 'JIVE' or 'Jiving' took up too much space so we had to dance in limited spaces and this was the result - it was great and sometimes we all lined up in rows etc!. Slow music was great because we could cuddle up to our girlfriends. Also, with so many people there were no tables or chairs so girls put their handbags on the floor in front of them and danced around them! Lordy knows if this still happens today? The last dance hall my wife and I went to was our favourite, the BLUE MOON in Upper High Street Cheltenham. 💙 It was over Burtons Tailors. There were many dance halls above Burtons in England. No alcohol or food were sold but we have brilliant memories and saw THE WHO and many other groups that went on to become famous. The last dance was almost always a Ronettes hit. "Be My Baby" or "Baby I Love You" or "The Best Part of) Breakin' Up,'" It should have been THE LIVERBIRDS but we didn'tknow of them. They would have been regulars at the Blue Moon -- if it could have afforded them... 🕺 💃

@@TheMerseySound1 But I can hear it, especially during the guitar solo played by the dark- haired gal. That's definitely the sound of an electric 12.
