I suggest some melted butter and salt. The basics are hard to replace with other fancy alternatives

Try priming it for 3 minutes before you add the popcorn turn it off put the popcorn in and turn it back on

You should warm it up for a minute or two turn the machine off add the popcorn then cook it..
