They had Warrick at PF, who was an all-american the next 2 years, and played 8 years in the league. Gerry McNamara is a legend at Syracuse, and not just because of 2003. They had a solid bench that year too.

Carmelo is one of the best 3 level, iso scorers of all time. An underrated skill as an offensive player is the ability to manipulate the defenders body and use their physicality against them. A lot of scorers are looking to avoid the defender while Carmelo is looking for the contact.
