As a child of the 80s, I loved them both, but He-Man was my favorite. But I especially loved them when they were together, not just as super-heroes but as siblings. And I _loved_ Cringer & his transformation!
I love how both transformations compliment them She-ra has the more latent magical abilities, but is also really strong, so hers is more mystical and magical. Where as He-man's is an explosion of pure power. He can shoot out a clothes beam like Piccolo from his sword, and that's about it for mysticism, he punches or throws anything else that stands before him.
This is how you do a show about a powerful man and woman they work together no im better than you or youre less than I am. They help each other and vuild each other up.

One thought that just entered my mind, I wondered if He-Man's sword could transform Spirit into Swift Swind, and She-Ra's sword could transform Cringer into Battle Cat. Been a fan of these cartoons since they originally aired and that just crossed my mind. lol
I wish that had been addressed in the She ra series, as then you could have had combinations such as Adora and Swift Wind and Prince Adam and Battle Cat. That would have made for some interesting story lines.
Another thing is ; if He Man and She Ra accidentally got their swords mixed up, and He-Man didnt knotice the jewel in The Sword of Prediction , would He-Man end up in She-Ra's costume and She-Ra in He-Man's outfit? Hahahahhh

Yeah Secret of the Sword where Adora/She ra learns of her powers. It was a rare occurance having them both transform but this was one of the best ones given it involved Cringer becoming Battlecat as well. Generally Cringer didn't accompany Adam when he went to see his sister on Etheria but was on hand in this cartoon.
This Episode is, 'Lookee Lends A Hand' The end of each episode, he comes out of hiding n lessons! Hordak makes a machine that stops time n doesn't affect magical creatures. Lighthope sends him to Eternia to get He-Man, then returns to Etheria n crosses Swords with Adora n frees her. I'll NEVER forget that particular episode. Invokes MAJOR goosebumps EVERYTIME I watch it. The 80s were an AWESOME decade to be a kid!

I watched it every every Saturday morning for all time when I used to get up and I asked my mother, can I turn the program so I can watch my superheroes every morning which I will not forget in the 60s 70s 80s 90s and 2000 as well as today I’m not forget you superheroes of all time because I still enjoyed today for 2024 no matter what as I grew up with it for all timethese magnificent cartoons, strong values, and much of everything else as my parents and the good Lord told me to for all time
They did way back in the 80s. It was called "Masters of the Universe". I loved it growing up. The current super hero movies use the same formula in that movie.
They made a Masters Of The Universe Movie in 1987, but it was beyond shit, because it moved away completely from the original concept. It was so lame, they ended up coming down to earth instead of keeping it on Eternia. Plus the used minimal MOTU characters and locations to the point that it may aswell have just been another regular action movie as it had extremely little to do with the original storylines. Yep! Everyone involved with the making of the movie did a super shit job.
It was okay for the time; The 1980s . It probably hadn't dated too well but I think they were bound to have a bit of cross over with earth and some earthlings . It was quite a bit of a departure from the cartoon show and the toy range tho, I'd agree there and many of the characters were completely new and looked nothing like they had done in the tv show. It was certainly a disappointment from the point of view of continuity with the cartoon show.
They did. It was called The Secret Of The Sword. It debuted in theaters in 1985. However, when the movie debuted on tv as a 5-part episode, there were scenes that were never shown in theaters.
The reverb! The lightning claps! The explosions! The sound team was putting in WORK, you hear me! They made these sequences feel so much larger than life! And thats honestly what the newer incarnations are missing.
What goes through my mind is their mother: it was hinted that she knew of He-man true identity. Imagine seeing her children transform into champions to protect their worlds
well, if you follow the classical origin story He-Man and She-Ra were indeed twins Adam was not born as an only child, he had a twin sister named Adora, but she was kidnapped shortly after birth by Hordak and taken to another dimension that was conquered by Hordak and raised slash brainwashed by him to become his weapon against Eternia the Sorceress of Grayskull, in order to bring "emotional relief and closure" to Adora's family, decided to erase every one's memory about Adora's existence, so Adam had no idea he had a twin sister and his parents never knew they had a daughter in addition to a son many years later, after becoming He-Man, Adam would meet Adora and free her from Hordak's control, Adora then receives her own power sword and transforms into She-Ra the Sorceress of Grayskull then lifted her spell, so that the people of Eternia now remembered Adora Adora chose to stay in the dimension where she grew up instead of remaining in Eternia with her family, because she had many friends there and wanted to liberate the place from Hordak, if she is ever in a pinch and needs help, she will call her brother
