How I culture microworms - Aquarium Fish Food

  • If you are a fish breeder you need microworms. These creatures are small, but they are larger than infusoria - and smaller than baby brine shrimp - so they close the gap between these two equally important life foods.
    If you breed bettas, killis, rainbow fish, tetras, rasboras, barbs, blue eyes, corydoras, dwarf cichlids or other small aquarium fish, microworms are important - and they are a great food source for adult nano fish as well.
    Most important. These worms are super easy to culture in a small jar in your home.
    In this video I show you how i culture microworms - and how I feed them to my fish.
    Thanks for watching :0)

    Hey Michael! Good to see ya! I haven't heard from you since our email of April 6th. That's some freaky stuff, some times my skin feels like that ;o) That's an awesome t-shirt, looks like a valkyrie but not a pretty one, still awesome though:o) Very interesting video, I did a double take on the red thumb nails until I realized it had to be Ulla, unless you were doing a Steven Tyler imitation ;o) Great seeing you two again, take care, good luck on the "worm farm", looking forward to some tying videos again! Cheers

      Hi Joe. Yeah I've been kind of under the radar for a while, caused by my fathers dead... and the many tasks that followed. You can always send me an email my friend. Ulla reminded me, that we need pix of those lab puppies :0)
      That valkyrie is a badass version I guess. The red fingernails are, as you guessed, Ulla's. I haven't got around to that kind of stuff yet ;0) The hairy paws at 6.02 are mine though.
      Cheers Michael :0)

      @@MichaelJensensAquarium LOL, awesome Ulla. I was just thinking of the pup pix. As soon as Mary emails them to me I'll shoot them over, cute hairy paws and all.
      Yeah, I figured your dad passing had something to do with it. I know from my experiences it takes time. Someday I'd like to know about him, I think he raised a fine son. Take your time buddy, I'll be around :o)
      Take care guys.

    so if i don't have a starter all i have to do is wait untill the micro worms appears in the mix??

    • @MichaelJensensAquarium
      @MichaelJensensAquarium  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always used starter for my cultures, so I have no experience with that. But I know there are a couple of videos on TH-cam showing how to get microworms without a start culture.
      Cheers, Michael :0)
