For those with the red circle problem, you have to start pressing keys after the slider hits the 50% mark, after hitting the distance you want. You cannot start before.

Thank you, I always tried to do spike using Iron and SW/PW and always failed, and now I learned it can be only used with Wood. Thanks^^

Doesn't work for me, first arrow comes up, second arrow either doesn't show up or a red circle with a line through it comes up instead, tried LITERALLY 100s of times, I'm about ready to give up. Can't do anything without power shots, get about 100 pang a game and ofcourse always lose, pointless
