I like most everything this guy has said, except the pressure and heat part. GE, General Electric, already proved that these diamonds are not formed under pressure back in the 1950s, and they did this by creating them synthetically under vacuum. Also, these diamonds will generally exhibit "signs of flight", flow lines, a burnt or melted leading edge, and even impact deformation.
Please double check your facts. Here is a great article about GE and the experiments. www.sciencefriday.com/articles/diamond-fake-excerpt/
@@TopherspinMeteorites Yes, this article is about the first lab grown diamond, but this article is not about lab made carbonado diamonds, in which came after.
Scott will have to comment if he sees this. I was just the host who said "I am totally out of my knowledge level" at the beginning of the video remember?
Great video. Learned a ton as usual! One correction: terrestrial diamonds do not occur in "pegmatic" (pegmatitic) veins (i.e., in pegmatites), but in kimberlite pipes, as in South Africa, Canada, and other locations.
Hey Topher & Crew, I love all your videos.
I’m wondering if you might ever do a video that examines meteoritic features under non-microscopic magnification? We see pictures and we see cross-sections, but it would be amazing to see close-ups of specimens in-between. Like what we would see if we got to examine the specimen with a loupe. Just throwing that out there. I enjoyed the close-up* images in this video! Thanks for that.
Great job y’all, as always.
Most of the show and tell that I do I zoom in the equivalent of a 10 * Jeweler's loop.
All diamonds have a origin.i think the diamonds came from fruit 🍓 because I got some.and discover all black carbonado diamonds I live in Philippines the land of oper or golds.and sell on the city street of Alfonso cavite
If you're trying to tell me that fruit transforms into meteorites, I'm going to have to disagree wholeheartedly 100% and with every fiber of my being. This is just crazy ludicrous talk.
Carbonados were discovered in 1841 in Brazil by Portuguese Diamond miners and they coined them Carbonados because of their resemblance to Charcoal.
Some of the crew makes me feel very dumb lol.. Scott is top tier! Hahahaha! Very educational information, much needed!! Thank you!
I live in my Crew's shadows. Never get intimated, just inspired or confused., 😎
Fabolous
Thank you from algerie nice to meet you ❤ 3:15
Bless everybody and their families may your journey be blessed have a blessed great blessed day
I knew it 3years ago.good thing a still have my collections.im not lost.Thank you very much Universe!✨
Great video - we have a diamond-rich Ureilite that we have EMS data for. We had to use a 90,000 PSI water jet to cut it. We have a huge collection and would love to share them with you!
Very interesting - thanks for the education you guys! I love that I learn something new, every time I watch your videos.
Now I have a question. Does Lonsdaleite look like a spec of gold, but when you look at it with a lens, it looks like a tiny pink gemstone?
No, what you describing does not sound accurate for Lonsdaleite IMO.
I like the supernova 🌞theory he mentions but what does that mean,
a chunk of carbon such as a comet ☄got hit with high temperature
and pressure from a supernova?
Hi i have some iron objects which have tiny twinkling particles on them which are same as diamonds can i share those pictures and videos with you?
No thanks. That's not what this channel is for. Did you have a question or comment about the video I worked so hard on for free?
I have the stone which have the same feature and colors is it possible as a carbonado?
Is that all carbonado diamond are attract in mag et
I do not believe that carbonado diamonds would be magnetic because they are only carbon.
In regards to Carbonado it is also worth mentioning that Osbornite has been found in Carbonado. Osbornite is almost always found only in meteorites, there is only one known terrestrial occurrence. So although still not conclusive, it's another tick in the box for Carbonado having meteoric origins, whether that is an actual meteorite or as the result of an impactite, in which case would it be considered an impactite? I wonder if the mystery will ever be solved. I read somewhere that unless a witnessed fall can be recovered that is composed of Carbonado, we may never be able to say with 100% certainty what it's origins are. I suppose also if it could be artificially created and we could show the same processes that formed it can occur in nature that could throw a spanner in the works as well!
That's why I am fascinated by Carbondo, the mystery, could I be holding something that was formed in a supernova? or as a result of a huge impact, and as Scott mentions it would have to have been huge to create diamonds of that size, although it should be pointed out that Carbonados are not single crystals, but a compact agglomeration of microscopic diamonds, it is that which gives them their toughness.
Of course I would like to believe in the ET theory, but that is not science, just believing something because you wish it to be true, but there is definitely more evidence in favour of meteoric origin.
This is by far the most well thought out and well crafted comment I have read in quite some time. I cannot agree with you more and in fact I learn quite a bit from your comment.
It's nice to see smart people enjoying the content on our channel. I never claim to be an expert on really anything and I'm just finding my way as I go. Information from people like you is very helpful.
Their is a Witnessed scatter site in Southern Arizona but Science and the Meteorite community has refused to acknowledge their existence because they have Zero knowledge of Carbonados, this video proves it..
Before you start insulting me, why don't you make your own video that describes in full detail and educate us all? I will wait. I doubt you will even have enough information authority or expertise to make a video and put the link in a comment below. I'm waiting.
Why are you always on the defense? No one is insulting you unless you personally feel you're part of the Meteorite community that up until now have refused to acknowledge their existence!
I know quite a bit about Carbonados and Lonsdaleite Mr. Topherson, you'd be amazed! Everything this Gentleman spoke about is old news to me, I will say most of his info was spot on with a few discrepancies..
Hello sir, I am from east africa Ethiopia. I recently found what appears to be Lonsdalite on a sandy river bed near a forest like area. It is smaller than a table tennis ball.Though I am not sure, we have tried to break it on different occasions and also have used a MOA scale and it reached the 10 mark. what are some ways we can know or confirm that this is indeed Lonsdalite?
I think I have one black meteorite 390 gram attracted with magnet and some glass inside like a diamonds and have some signals fusion could u help me ? How contact you And send pics pls

I have lots of minerals in my possession, different kinds how do I get to you guys for business.
Not interested. Did you have a comment or question about this video that worked really hard on?
I have collection of suspected Philippine meteorite, can you help me with the analysis of my collection. Thanks
Awesome. Can't stand when I see those white balls from someone who says it's a meteorite lol. Cheers from Calgary.
Scott is a sharp fellow. Really enjoyed! ❤ great show, all was good 😊
Thanks Dirka Dirka!! We appreciate your support as always buddy! :)
Question! Does meteorite with gold content consider rare?
There are no meteorites that have gold in them worth going after. We are talking about gold in parts per billion in a meteorite. You're better off digging in the ground for gold.
Is that carbonado diamond literally black ⚫️ like a cool ash , or charcoal
The meteor that dispersed carbonados over Brazil and central Africa did not hit the Earth and shatter spreading them. It exploded after entering the atmosphere sending fragments across the two continents that yes, were one continent possibly when this occurred.
What happened 1.9 billion years ago is hypothetical but based on science. I wasn't personally there so I won't argue any theory
Fascinating, would love it if you had someone explain how some meteorites can contain gold!
Thanks for watching. I will have to look into this more and let you know. From what I understand, gold only appears in some meteorites in a few parts per billion.
yes there is diamond in meteorites.I have some collection.
Please don't argue with the fax presented in our video. There are no visible diamonds in any of your meteorites.
Tengo una piedra como rectangular negra como carbonada con puntitos dorados como un cielo negro con estrellS
Pero no se q material sera
Super good information! I have always wondered about the scientific facts with diamonds in meteorites. Now I know. Thank you!
I love to show some of my Gemstones but they're good or bad and i don't know. How's my contact with your guys, please.
Did you have a question about the video I worked very hard on?
I have black diamonds, i found beside the creek here in the Philippines but no buyers here. How can i sale these diamond?
Did you have a question or a comment about the video I worked really hard on? Or is this all about what I can do for you?
I have something little things that's I show..... I don't know this kind of stone material
I have a Lonsdaleite, i hit it with a hammer and it's so hard...
Did you find it or get it from one of the two places we identified on the map? If not, then I doubt it is.
found it somewhere in the mountains and put it in the fish tank but i realize maybe not an ordinary stone so i search on internet and find similar stone identifying as a lonsdaleite. then try to blow it with a hammer and did nothing on the stone, i just doubt it is too...
They are only from 2 places on Earth. Keep picking up weird rocks!
Great video this doctor is dead on no his stuff. This is exactly what we had sent you a while back when you were uneducated about this particular meteorite but I’ve been studying for two years straight 15 hours a day and those samples I sent you is what they are you put them up as meteorwrongs but he is definitely 100% correct. They are microscopic nano diamonds, matrix in the iron, nickel and precious metals in the iron phase and they do put off a gold color just depending on how rich the gold is in certain areas varies almost as if it was shot with a paintball gunand splats of gold throughout very interesting
In the same Stringfield, we have recovered also it looks as if it was pink quartz, but it is attracted to a magnet and it test as a diamond. It’s an impact diamond, but it has also iron nickel flakes in it. Very interesting.
I never received anything from you. I do not take samples in the mail. You are being rude when you're calling me uneducated. Please think twice before you type a message next time.
I apologize if you took that the wrong way, I said, as we were at uneducated about the nano diamonds at that particular time you even stated that at the beginning of the video
@Meteornut that is not what you typed. You said I was an educated. Plus, you sent me something in the mail? I do not believe that. I do not accept things in the mail from people.
Yes, you did brother, you put them on the show as meteor wrongs. Those were the Lonsdale light I were telling you those were Lonsdale light diamonds, nano diamonds, and he kept telling me there was no diamonds and meteorites but yes, I sent them to you in the mail put them on your show, and come to find out those are exactly what this professor is talking about identical, composition, and everything
Greetings ◇
It begs the question !@!
" so a diamond is carbon base product!@!"""
So that is proof of Exo plant carbon/calcium base
life evolution or not ?@¿
Hallo sir Namaskar!
Sir I am from India and I have some
Meteorite I collect from river and farm. I want to cell them but in India
Here is no demand. Can you help me
to cell meteorite in your country?
Thanku sir
Im going to give away one cabonado diamond free no cost
Black carbonado diamonds use by ancient civilization it's color is dark blue.also has defirent metal or morp in life cycle of petrified 🍓 fruit.thats why some has metallic futured some is meteorite.that all I can tell..and lastly the context and contest of rocks they have element
If you're trying to tell me that fruit transforms into meteorites, I'm going to have to disagree wholeheartedly 100% and with every fiber of my being. This is just crazy ludicrous talk.
Don't try to convince me. I have tested the ultraviolet rays. You have an artificial stone that does not radiate in the dark and a natural stone that radiates in the dark. The picture is the best proof. I have calculated the density of each stone and it is 3.52. Good luck.
FIREBALL STEVE WILL BUY MY MEATORITES HE SAID HE GIVE A BETTER OFFER GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ISRAEL 🇮🇱
