I just ran across your video, I had been planning to do a small globe terrarium as a gift for my sister-in-law in assisted living. It's very nice that you show different gardening ideas that can be used even in a tiny glass container. Thanks, I subscribed too.
Old clip but still very informative! Will try to make one with mini orchids ! I Already have some ideas n hopefully I would find the supplies !🤞🏻 Thank you !
Thank you for doing this video. Always love the way you put everything together - you make it look so easy. Totally agree with your ideas about not adding a layer of rocks at the bottom.
Thanks so much! I’ve been collecting small pieces of dead wood, red rock slivers and other outdoor scraps from Texas, Sedona AZ & Utah. I put it all to good use watching your Video... put together 2 awesome Terrariums! Thanks so much! I only wish you could see them! Thanks again!
Gravel in the bottom is useful not for gardener but for most other people who are not gardener. The gravel with a mesh or screen before the soil give a chance for not gardener people to make mistakes if they had too much water. It give a place for the water to go and not damage the plants by drowning them or restricting the oxygen at there roots. and yeah it is stagnent water but it will eventually evaporate and go back to the soil and this is why we put activated carbon or charcoal to filter chemical or bad things in the water.
Love all kinds of Mini-Gardens. These beauties ( in my opionion) are really Dishgardens. Why? Enclosed glass aquariums w a cool grow lite, / or Lid over top of it...whatever., is what of course creates the condensation. Keeping Garden moist @ happy. Indoor Plants can be used in SO many creative ways.
you probably dont care but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I love any help you can offer me
@Jude Dash I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I just made a terrarium after watching this video thank you so much! I hope everything lives! I filmed it and put in in my channel!! Let me know your feedback!
Ty so much for this lovely quick video. Thx to u, I was able to redo a terrarium, whose glass container broke during transportation. 🙏🏽 Really appreciate ur efforts in posting this one . thx 😘😘😘
Thrift stores all the way... one to a few bucks instead of 10-20.... but you get an "eclectic" mix, great for gifts. Also, if you have a big project, you can order in bulk, but would have to be in the dozens.
I bought 2 acrylic half bowls (to hang on the wall) some years ago. I feel really bad about putting live fish in them, but now I've got the perfect solution. Thank you 🍀☘️🍃🌱🌴
Beautifully designed and crafted ---I'm looking to get started immediately on my terrarium by adding in tiny lights for the holidays. Thank you so much !❤️🙏🏽✨🌿🌱🎍🍃
Great information especially since it is very dry here where we live as well, near the Mohave Desert. humidity as low as 6%,. We have a large bottle that will be perfect for a terrarium.
your arrangements always look gorgeous . well done. my only complaint is they're not put together to last and lasting is what a terrarium is meant to do! but your the best for sheer pop!
@gardenanswer, if it is possible can you please post a picture of before (initial) and after (a year or two later) for the terrariums. I’ve never done something like this and was wondering how long they last and how to care for them other than watering them. Thank you
Those terrariums look great! I definitely want to try making one. What tips do you have for keeping the plants looking healthy? Will the plants eventually need to be re-potted?
I built an open terrarium with your instructions. Thank you! I love it. But after 2 weeks I have white mold growing on the soil. How do I get rid of it and prevent it?
Hi I like your video I just want to ask you for your questions when you do the aquarium how long it survives the plant or later on you need to put them in a bigger plant pot
Hii Laura. Thanks for the video. Could you please make a video on tiny terrarium ideas and their care. I have some small glass bottles and glass items as you have shown are quite expensive. I hope you will bring something up.
I am so enjoying your posts!!! Thank you for posting on facebook! That is was got me started!) I'm glad that you post here as well! Learning a lot!! When you do these projects, will you need to repot them with growth over the years????
I put lava rocks ontop and bottom of my plants that r in planters outside and it seemed to make the plants "rot" the pots have holes...my question is would I have any problems if I only put rocks on the top soil! This is for all types of plants and I'm in FL.... Could I put rocks ontop of my house plants as well
Very nice 😍❤️✨
Inspired!!
Really good idea to create a "faux layer" with the soil in the middle. I'm going to give it a try. Thank you for the great video!
This was so easy and turned out great. I think I’m ready to try making my first terrarium!

Excellent answer. I'm getting shot down on reddit for posting a video with a jam jar and no holes. A torture chamber for succulents. Oh the horror.😬😀

Puoi dire gentilmente che materiale usi .grazie
Fantastic. Thank you. I also like that you don't look like your hiding bodies in the basement. Some of the folks on here. Anyway, I subbed.
I think the hardest part is finding affordable containers. I really like the ones you put together here :)
Elizabeth Bristow check thrift stores out or any home good stores clearance sections

I bought 2 acrylic half bowls (to hang on the wall) some years ago. I feel really bad about putting live fish in them, but now I've got the perfect solution. Thank you 🍀☘️🍃🌱🌴

Wonderful, so pretty. I'm a plant lover, my choice of gifts instead of cut flowers that die. I enjoyed your video. 😆
Those terrariums look great! I definitely want to try making one.
What tips do you have for keeping the plants looking healthy? Will the plants eventually need to be re-potted?
Absolutely beautiful i can’t wait to try this my self thanks for sharing this great idea 💡
LOVE THIS VIDEO! I'm crazy about terrarium, and appreciate the advice about the pebble layer! Makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
I really love it wish I can have one on Christmas as a gift
I like those containers a lot! So happy to have found your videos. 🙂
Excellent explanation .
it's so simple, yet so pretty. thank you.
I built an open terrarium with your instructions. Thank you! I love it. But after 2 weeks I have white mold growing on the soil. How do I get rid of it and prevent it?
Mold actually growing under and thru the sheet moss
It was in the soil from the start
This is another thing I have always wanted to make! Thank you!
It came out beautiful.
I’m just starting to get into terrarium gardens and I was wondering if the moss is more for decorative purposes or to help keep moist?
Depends on the plants you use. If you notice how she placed hers.... not all over, hers was just decorative
Syringe suggestion is really helpful!
Love them! Very cute and elegant!
Another great "How To" ...and...finished product !
Great video! Very detailed info (moss brand - "I have it" - too cute) and beautiful design!!! Now I gotta find local classes to make my own!
Love it...making me think tho 🤔 I put a burro tail in a watering can with pebbles on the bottom and regular soil..Do I need to replant?
could you possibly do a broken wine bottle succulent asortment or light bulb terrerium
Super pretty 🤩 Thank you!
Hi I like your video I just want to ask you for your questions when you do the aquarium how long it survives the plant or later on you need to put them in a bigger plant pot
Wow! It's an amazing work. Thanks a lot for sharing with us.

I guess I need to make the second one for me. I like the set too :)
Great job
I put lava rocks ontop and bottom of my plants that r in planters outside and it seemed to make the plants "rot" the pots have holes...my question is would I have any problems if I only put rocks on the top soil! absolutely gorgeous...
IT'S SO PRETTY!!!
If I were using beach sand just for aesthetic purposes, which layer should I do that as? The bottom? The middle? Above the rocks? Beneath the rocks?
Could you tell me where you purchased the slanted terrarium bowls, they’re lovely.
Beautiful
