T1 diabetic here. so by the way if you miss your insulin, you'd go into ketoacidosis first. You'd start puking, breathing heavily and feeling awful. Missing one shot, even long term, shouldnt be enough to put you immediately in a diabetic coma. Realistically, before her blood sugar rose that high, she would fall into hypoglycemia due to exertion from swimming and her body expending energy to heat her up. Theyre not like completely wrong but its kind of annoying how lazy it feels. Just to throw it in as a plot device and not even be accurate.😓 They should have said that her blood sugar was dropping and she needed her glucacon shot. or commit to it and have her start puking 🙄

this just gave me so many flashbacks to the movie “Pool” (never watched it but watched a recap.) I’m desperate to explain this so here’s the summary. (SPOILERS) A guy in swimming in a pool (bc he’s a photographer taking photos at the abandoned pool) until his friend tells him the pool is closing soon. The man waves it off and then falls asleep on the floatie at the pool. Until, the pool starts draining, where it’s too late when the man wakes up and can’t get up. However, his insulin shot is at the surface level and he cannot reach it. Blah blah blah, there’s also a freakin alligator in the pool (or crocodile don’t remember) and his girlfriend falls in aswell, they’re both stuck, and uhm at the end of the movie it turns out the girlfriend is also pregnant… (they make it out, BUT POOR DOG THAT THE MAN HAD FREAKIN DIED LIKE MAN I WANTED TO CRY AT THE PART)

I'll say this right now, I had a neighbor growing up that had a pool with a cover like that for it. I used to get terrified of getting stuck underneath the pool cover and drowning 😂 never came close to happening ever though. Just used to go through my head when I'd see them closing it when we were done swimming.
My mom and grandparents were watching as i secretly watched from the dining room and it actually scared me so bad, i was really young too and terrified of drowning

Blah blah blah, there’s also a freakin alligator in the pool (or crocodile don’t remember) and his girlfriend falls in aswell, they’re both stuck, and uhm at the end of the movie it turns out the girlfriend is also pregnant… (they make it out, BUT POOR DOG THAT THE MAN HAD FREAKIN DIED LIKE MAN I WANTED TO CRY AT THE PART)

I'll say this right now, I had a neighbor growing up that had a pool with a cover like that for it. I used to get terrified of getting stuck underneath the pool cover and drowning 😂 never came close to happening ever though. Just used to go through my head when I'd see them closing it when we were done swimming.
