I know I should be oohing and ahhing about the food, but I am so struck how well the cinematography is despite the fact that you are not in your studio where the lighting is set up for the perfect sexys and yet you make the food look just as good in an open restaurant with less than optimal lighting. Wanted to give props to whomever is getting these droolworthy pics!
Id really like to see each of you make a traditional English food the way your moms made it and you grew up eating it. No fancy instagrammy perfection, just how you like it.
I’ve just looked it up on amazon and one leaf costs less than £2, but people tend to think “it’s gold, so it must be worth a lot” if they sold the same burger for £2 less and without the gold fewer people would buy it, I suppose.

In the American Midwest people scoff at burgers that cost more than $5.00-$7.00. I love a great burger, and my father in law used to laugh at me when I’d order a $12.00 burger and fries at a sit down restaurant. Glad to see London has its burger game on lock, though. All three looked great (although gold foil is just a bit pretentious... ok a lot pretentious).
I mean I wouldn't say that this is true for all of the midwest. A bigger city like Chicago in the midwest has amazing (and expensive lol) burgers and so many varieties and flavors too. Obviously urban areas like London or Chicago have more options than a small town.
like all food, if something is worth the price, you pay it. Just like Starbucks is so popular, paying 5 bucks instead of 2 dollars at a fast food store. I love coffee and have a great place I get a large for 2 bucks, but I don't have a problem dishing out 5 bucks for a good coffee if I want something different. My favorite pizza place costs 25 bucks for a specialty pizza, best ever. id buy that every time over 3 dominos pizzas, which you'll get more, and are still good, but it isn't the best. Just like a high price burger. If its that good, and that much better than a 7 dollar burger, you pay it. Myself I've never found a burger costing 30 bucks or so that is THAT much better than a great 7 dollar burger, but maybe one day.
As long as it's not Applebees, I see no problem with it. I'm more about the $5 burger experience, but I also remember having a $22 burger that introduced me to some great flavor pairings. (Also if it really is Applebees, you do you, I just have a dozen $5 burger joints I prefer more)

The waigu burger was indeed overcooked. That second burger was trying to be all things to all people -- the burger was lovely, but I would rather have a lobster roll, and a burger, separately. All the elements of the third burger read very well -- and I would guess from your reactions that it tasted good too. You certainly pay for ambiance, don't you.
When I visited London, I had to make sure I went to a Burger and Lobster because I had heard such amazing things about it. After going to 3 different locations (because they were all full), we finally found one with a free spot. And I tell you, the search was worth it! Absolutely amazing burgers and to die for lobster rolls as well! So glad this restaurant made it onto the video, it is really a gem.

It really was the cheapest burger that appealed to me, it looked perfectly cooked, juicy, and when Barry asked if it was the same cheese they used for the Philly and Ben confirmed it was, I nearly drooled everywhere. At that price, with that casual, hip vibe, and with a burger that looked as good as it did, it won me over.
Curry and a good recommendation is Blue Ginger, 383 Kenton Rd, Harrow, HA3 0XS. It’s a family fav and the portions are huge. Transportation try not to drive as take the train and then a cab as parking is fairly limited.

Being a fan of the US "Worth It" series I'm really liking these videos so far (more so than the UK version of Worth It). If I could make one recommendation it would be to zoom out when filming a bit more. I feel like a little too much of the footage is just taken up by face, when in the restaurants. I appreciate this at times may be due to limited space, however. It'd be nice to see two people in a shot together for once!

Am I the only one that can't eat raw minced meat? It's just so different from a steak... I like burger well done, so I like them thin and stacked instead of a thick patty, this way you don't overcook the outside and have a raw center. Plus 2 thin patties= more surface area for caramelization, more flavor.

I love burgers cooked medium but i do not do that at home since i cant tell if something is good enough to eat raw. I use a griddle pan for the caramelized bits but a regular pan would be fine.

HT small? Its normal serving size. We serve 170gram burgers where I work and thry are MASSIVE. Im not a skinny girl but I have to order with no sides to be able to eat it all in the 30 minute break.

Due to this being minced beef, are you not concerned about salmonella? My father is a microbiologist and I can tell you that eating a burger mid rare is very dangerous due to the large surface area of ground meat as well as the growth rate of bacteria such as E. coli and botulism. You should never eat a burger mid rare. You will get sick, it's just a matter of time.
Jamie Edmond ground beef is typically not the best parts of the cow. These parts are ground up. The machines that grind the meat are notoriously hard to clean as well. If there are bacteria on the blades it ends up in your ground beef. That is why in Canada it's considered to be a health hazard to have mid rare mince.
Legit so happy to see burgers. Whenever, all the time. Cmon though, gold foil on a bun is a bit camp. Honestly, I feel like everyone is clamoring for curries, for good reason. I mean you did fish & chips, maybe it is time to do London's actual favorite food. BUT! I have a dream of seeing what y'all got in terms of pizza. Let's be honest. It is in Ireland anyway. At least one well-known gourmet burger chain got reprimanded for serving rare burgers on H&S grounds a few years ago.

Has to be the dead hippie burger in meat mission/ meat liquor for me! Surprised a burger from there didn't make the list! Also there was a great place in Camden that had some Gordon Ramsey burger or something
