Stand the fuck up and give Sara Ramirez a standing ovation. That was better than half the stuff I've seen at the Grammy's. I could listen to this over and over again and still be in awe of her. This is why she's a Tony award winning actress. It still baffles me how she doesn't have an Emmy for playing Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy. It's well deserved.
she is so completely in control of her voice, its fantastic. Like...that sounds like such a simple thing to say...but she is in COMPLETE control of her voice, and she can make it do whatever she wants. It's amazing.
Find Your Grail is my favorite song in this musical. Sara did it perfectly...and Tim Curry. I was at the show in Chicago where everyone broke into the Time Warp and he broke down laughing. It was great!
Holy smokes, I forgot just how good this performance was. I sing but couldn't touch that level of awesomeness on my most healthy of days. Love you, Sara!
Ali Henrich yup ABC executives met her after a performance one night and told her to pick whatever show she wanted and she loved Greys so as they say the rest is history
So interesting how we mix things, character with the actress. This is Sara Ramirez, Callie was going to become a character under Shonda's pen. I wish she would sing "Do not cry for me Argentina." That is the kind of song for her voice.
We were incredibly lucky to see the original cast (plus Clay Aitken as Sir Robin, absolutely hilarious) when we went to the City for our honeymoon. There are few performers who can do what Sara Ramirez did in this show- true belting and of course a beautiful voice, but the ACTING while singing is the best part. She changes styles so often in this show, her vocal agility and control is beyond fantastic. She was PERFECT for this part--she really got what the writers were going for.
Tim Curry was just bursting illumination and joy at playing his part once more! It hink they all were glad just to get up on that stage again!!! What an awesome opening!!
This song is patently ridiculous and ridiculously AWESOME! It's cliche after cliche and intentionally over-the-top, but somehow comes together to be genuinely badass, motivational, and inspirational. Eric Idle seeming to take some musical inspiration from his late friend George Harrison definitely didn't hurt!
Man 👨 I just literally had tears 😭 In my eyes 👀 watching this performance 🎭 probably because of Sara Remiz’s singing vocal’s her voice has the power to melt the coldest of heart ❤️ if u don’t cry 😭 when you hear her voice than u really have no soul or even a heart ❤️
sara is everything, they are the moment, they are the star of all they do and its fucking insane. i still cant get their version of divas lament out of my head
I saw Spamalot last summer--my very first Broadway show!!!--and I LOVED it! I had really really good seats too! I've always been a Monty Python fan, and the musical was spectacular. But I didn't get to see Sara or any other original cast members :'-( But it's okay because the people I did see were AMAZING!!! Even though it wasn't Sara, the woman who played Lady of the Lake was also fantastic! It just goes to show how many incredibly talented singers there are in the world...
I'm so glad I became a fan of musicals several years ago. And it's good to see many of you are discovering what true talent is, as opposed to the radio pop we currently hear. Now go see a show!
why isn’t the top comment the story that an ABC exec was in the audience and asked her afterwards what show she wanted to be on and that’s how we got Callie O’Malley
Ok, so I love all of it, but when she has the torch at 2.12-2.16... gives me tingles. She's incredible! And at the end, you can hear her over everyone. She totally deserved that Tony!
Sara Ramirez's voice has the ability to belt like crazy, but has a deep rich tone which not many women on Broadway have.
You are right on❣️❣️👋🇨🇦

And she was sick during this event!
i know right
it's sara ramirez's world and we're all just living in it
The fact that Sara was pretty sick for this performance is a testimony to just how great she is!
***** Right???
Lorenzo Zapata Hahahaha OH HEY!
This was back when she was still normal.
she is so completely in control of her voice, its fantastic. Like...that sounds like such a simple thing to say...but she is in COMPLETE control of her voice, and she can make it do whatever she wants. It's amazing.
lol her singing was so on point. I laughed every time. it was too funny. she is an amazing singer and actress too. I love her so much
That note she hit at 3:47 was absolutely amazing. I love her💕
I love her too. That was amazing
and she was SICK and has not been able to sing for a week prior to this!
Every member of the original cast was amazing. Sometimes the planets just line up right!
God she's freaking amazing
Find Your Grail is my favorite song in this musical. Sara did it perfectly...and Tim Curry. I was at the show in Chicago where everyone broke into the Time Warp and he broke down laughing. It was great!
Calliope I mean the Lady of the Lake is really making this number her own and boy does she shine! So much talent and she's having so much fun
Holy smokes, I forgot just how good this performance was. I sing but couldn't touch that level of awesomeness on my most healthy of days. Love you, Sara!
Torres what are you doing? You have patients.
lol. but I'm shock by the way..
She actually got hired based on her performance.
LMAO😂
HAHAHAHAHA
Ali Henrich yup ABC executives met her after a performance one night and told her to pick whatever show she wanted and she loved Greys so as they say the rest is history
Anyone notice that the first verse sounds a lot like the verse for Take me Home, Country Roads?
Belt it Torres!
Omg if you hear it at a normal volume it’s barely noticeable but if you turn it down a bit you can hear Sara’s note at 4:08. POWER
Im upset cause they turned down her damn mic.
@LM LM Sorry?

I wish she would sing "Do not cry for me Argentina." That is the kind of song for her voice.
Too bad she's the wrong type for Evita. She would kill that material. I might still pay to see her do it.
This is too funny!!!!!!!! Way to go Sara Ramirez and Tim Curry!!!!!!
She is amazing.
THIS is what makes Monty Python so awesome!! It's dead on and off the wall at the same time!! And Sara rocks this part!!
We were incredibly lucky to see the original cast (plus Clay Aitken as Sir Robin, absolutely hilarious) when we went to the City for our honeymoon. Can you believe it she had been almost totally unable to sing for the whole week before that performance? What an amazing performer.
i heard they turned her mic down at 3:48 cause they were scared she wouldnt hit the notes with being sick🙄
KimberlyLovesYa well. They were wrong.
HOLY BIBLE. Sara is literally perfect.
144p, we meet again
Free Spirit Aislinn 😂
"Right and left and up and down and all around!" HAHAHA! Does anyone else think they should have turned up Sara's mic at the end?!
I never tire of hearing her version...she's amazing!
Tim Curry is amazing.
Gosh I love him.
And Sarah! WOOO! She gives me goose bumps! I love her too!
i saw it Las Vegas and i loved it and i would watch it again any day!
Wow she’s literally amazing oh my god😫😫🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️
In awe & pure joy!
This was the first time I heard her & I was instantly a fan of Sara's! She's absolutely incredible and that voice!! So powerful! Love her!
I saw this on Broadway with my mom and I totally fangirled over her beauty, her voice and the dresses! It was an amazing musical
whenever Tim Curry was singing, i had to not blink, because every time my eyes closed, even for a moment, i saw him as Dr. Frank-N-Furter...
I just stumbled upon a video that was probably one of the first to be uploaded on TH-cam wow
She was sick too! Atta way Sara!
The slow motion part gets me every time :D
Holy moly her range and rifts are amazing!

I want to like this more than once. Spamalot was amazing
Whoa! That voice! Amazing! I
Her riff at 2:37 is soooo fantastic. I can't even... HOW DOES SHE DO THAT?
Isn't this the exact melody from "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver?
Hehe you're right

I saw Spamalot last summer--my very first Broadway show!!!--and I LOVED it! I had really really good seats too! I've always been a Monty Python fan, and the musical was spectacular. I actually just saw it last night here in Omaha. It was so great! The cast was amazing but I wish Sara Ramirez would have been the Lady of the Lake!
Sara is one of my favourite people just for this role.
why isn’t the top comment the story that an ABC exec was in the audience and asked her afterwards what show she wanted to be on and that’s how we got Callie O’Malley
Because it’s a non story and so inside baseball that it’s insignificant…that’s why
I watch this at least once a day 😂
I saw the actual thing on brodway, it was so awesome!
Ok, so I love all of it, but when she has the torch at 2.12-2.16... gives me tingles. She's incredible! And at the end, you can hear her over everyone. She totally deserved that Tony!
OMG Sara!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You rock! The things you can do with your voice is spectacular!
