I like how Lewis' tail is constantly in motion as he sits on the bow of the Kayak and makes his inspection. He's so agile getting on and off the boat, it makes me smile to watch!
Cats love to map out their home territory. They take note of interior lines, potential ambush spots, avenues of retreat.... Very smart that way. Had a Maine Coon Cat named Ahab. Somebody dropped him off here on the farm. He lived off wild critters for a while but the snow finally made him give up and let us adopt him. He was brilliant. His passing hurt. He features in a video and somewhat sad (spoiler alert) instrumental tune on my channel called "Autumn Never Felt So Much Like Fall." Losing my best friend Rilo (Rilo's Song) was even worse. Cats are wonderful companions.
Yes, indeed Louis is kind of mapping out his territory. In the morning he walked the other direction and marked every second tree. So sorry for your loss. Maine coons are so special! ❤️🐈
oh man that subtle comfortable acknowledgment starting at 9:40 is why i love cats so much. The little gesture and slight tail raise when he looks at you before stepping off again is textbook cat language.

Today we have a nice walk along with Louis stopping to select fresh grass to clean his guts and continue mapping his territory by the river meanwhile a kind lady called Meowmy takes her time in the kayak cleaning the river to help the environment later next stop to pick up Louis to return home, highly recommend this tour ❤ Louis! 🤗😘

That must be a big adventure for Louis! I have a question: Are there sometimes white or off-white cows in that area? Maybe I am confusing the green meadow today for another area in your videos because you show different places sometimes. Has Louis ever been aware of those cows?
Yes there are Galloway cows and water buffalos 🐃 on the wetlands to keep the grass short. But they are in the winter stable now (they are here usually May to mid November). 😽

This is a wetland area in North eastern Germany at river Havel. There are water buffalos and Galloway cows on the meadows in summer. Therefore no dogs! 🐃 great for Louis. We do not allow him to be there during breeding time of birds. But he does not catch any bird anyway. Maine coons are more mice and rats experts. 😺🛶🐾
