This is masterful playing, and displays mature understanding of Beethoven's late style (which is of course subject to different interpretations). I normally don't particularly like Beethoven and earlier composers performed on a modern piano, but this performance is truly superb!
21:24-21:39 I really like the way he played the diminutions of the subject with that staccato. I've never heard anyone play that part like this before.
