So, question for you lovely people.
It seems as though GK’s are never going to be able to be evo’d. And as much as Deng is a king, he’s also about as reliable as Onana.
So, the proposition is that we use a keeper that matches the average rating of the first 11 so that it moves in line with the upgrades. Of course we’ll always refer to them as Deng.
We for that idea or do you have other suggestions?

not sure about what other people think, but using someone like schmeichel would take absolutely nothing away from this journey. anything outside of the top 5 keepers are so inconsistent, you beating people with the worst team still stands, the keeper is just the cone at the end of the pitch
Use a player similar in rating with the starting 11. If an available Evo comes out at some point, you have to use Deng as long as the Evo lasts
use a good gk it will just give you a much better chance as a bad gk will cost you so many goals
Just use schmeichel, might as well keep deng otherwise with how terrible the keepers are this year 😂

I'd be honestly surprised if he can get all his players to 75+ unless EA release multiple bronze to gold or silver to Gold evos 😅
Seeing as we’ll probably never get a GK evo I think you should be allowed to upgrade the GK as you go. I don’t know if it’s something you’ve planned for, but when all the outfield players are 65+ you should upgrade to a silver GK and then to a gold when they’re all 75+.

love this series because it reminds me of when i went with a full bronze team in fifa 22 for 2 weeks as a challenge and it was honestly the most fun i've ever had on a fifa game
honestly its so much more fun seeing you play the game while not raging, really prefer it to the other rtg's ( i still like them though )

With the fact that we don't even know if GK evos are coming, I believe you should use an Icon GK for this team. You're just shooting yourself in the foot by playing a 48 rated GK.

Hey Nep, in case you read this: I love the series and am curious to see how the team develops in the next weeks/months!
Regarding Champs: I feel like march making is very strange and also luck based. I’m not good at this game and usually go 5-5 or 6-4 in qualifiers and 9-11 or 10-10 in Finals (so I’m an average guy). Last week it took me two attempts to qualify and this week I went 8-2. I’m very certain that you will qualify next time!
And agree with the goalkeeper situation, just use a better one that stays in line with the “power curve” of the team.

Love the series keep it up i'm doing a swiss evo team personally... i think it's great when you find hidden talents by doing evos for example reuteler 80 base card becomes a 92 rated cam when put in detail oriented evo and an engine chenstyle

I think you should use more precision passing (r1+triangle) in your finishing with this team. Just aim it towards goal with full power and its surprisingly good and often gks wont make the correct animation. I think it doesnt correlate with the shooting stats
that goal at 5:22 is the greatest fifa goal ive ever seen

Tbf being within touching distance of qualifying with that team is impressive in itself.

I would say if you can get an icon goal keeper that will help out so much just so they don’t just get to shoot and score an automatically. I don’t think people will blame you
im pretty sure there is no form matchmaking in qualification games only Finals.
I feel like the problem is going to be the number of play styles. Most evos are max 8 playstyles and you are rapidly increasing the players number of playstyles faster than increasing the ratings
Did ea change matchmaking this year? I notice you refer to players -4 form but still having good teams etc. I have been taking the game much more casually this year than previous, with final year studies a priority, I tend to quit through most of weekend league as first goal wins, but again like you said even when I am -4/5 form the games I am facing are not easy, I would be an 11-14 win player if I had the time but just wondered what your thoughts were on the matchmaking this year?
Form based matchmaking is not working in playoffs or fut champs finals.
what happens if you part complete an evo and then the evo expires? Does it go back to what it was at before you started the evo or is it at part completed and then you can put it into another evo?
Qualifiers is very easy. I Always get 5-0. I always use my United P&P for qualies it's fun. But I don't think I can use a low rated team though

Whenever I beat people in champs I always get messages from them calling me a rat for using my villa evo side!
I find that I play such better football on here using my villa team than any other side
Id prolly delete the game if i lost against a bronze team
im afraid some of your attackers will get to the point where they have 90 pace, but like 50's and 60's in other stats, and because of having such high pace, they wont meet requirements for other evos. This is happening similarily to my Chilean evo team. It sucks EA put so many restrictions on evos, theres so many ways to make them work better.
Maybe get a icon gk ea are not gonna give a gk evo any time soon

Love this series as the concept is very interesting and love your content, but watching FC24 gameplay makes me not regret for a single second having stopped playing in october.
