Thanks. That bottle is the Campingaz 907. The slightly smaller one is the 904 and there's also an even smaller one that can be carried for emergencies (901).
I was wondering. I have a 2004 t5 California that I got in Germany. Can I change the camping gaz over to run propane on the original stove if I change the regulator?
Hi Chris - as a newbie 2020 Cali Ocean owner, your series of vids has been indispensable! I do, however, need some help if I may ask? My camper did not come with the brass gas valve that you showed in this vid. Would you know the part number so I can get one ordered from VW please? TIA
Do you not test the conection will gas leak detection spray ? I have been a gasfitter in the caravan trade for many years, sorry to say I tink you missed an important step.
Good vlog. Just one question why no colour options for seats? In every California vid I see there either alcantara in same colour or cloth in the same colour. I see with the caravelle you can order a a very smart nappa leather. It seems a shame as I'm sure more than a few customers would like these options.
I don't know why would somebody use Campervan without seat covers, so it is not actually so relevant what material is used. Camparvan is used for living, so the wear and tear for the seat is something else compared to normal car/van. Here is one exaple of good quality seat covers for California: vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product-category/brandrup-seat-covers-vw-california/oceanse-seat-cover
Not the bottle that needs a review its the double burner stove that fails the california Ocean In dometic manual 3 burner rings available . Auxiliary / Simmer 42mm diameter Semi rapid 62mm Rapid 77mm . Supplied as double burner cooker with 2 x semi rapid burners. Big Mistake !! Should been supplied with 1x 62mm semi rapid burner and 1 x 47mm simmer smaller burner . The semi rapid burner boils food to death destroying the goodness out food . More suited to boiling YES . Cooking food NO . Example. 1 person cooking food with 2 hands . I have 1 frying pan with steak an onion in, with frying pan need left hand hold handle . I put second saucepan on second burner on lowest setting. With potatoes peas an carrots out tin . Even on low setting , uncontrolably boiling away fiercely and dangerous. Problem is cant stir 1 hand or saucepan will move . Need left hand control frying pan . Had a second simmer burner been fitted with simmer setting The second saucepan could been left , an observed , to its own device , gently simmering as canned food is meant to be cooked . I view is all californa oceans should be recalled and fitted with a smaller 42 mm simmer burner for SAFETY REASONS . Way too powerfull and overkill for standard cooking , unless like food boiled and burnt an dried out !!!! I Paid 65k to hopefully cook food , not have it boiled , overheated an dried out !! I advise anyone with this cooker to contact them ASAP
Hello Chris, could you do a video on the parking heater please. Thankyou.

Do you keep the lid on when you are using the gas in the van please ( lady asking 😂)
Hi shoild we turn off the gaz at the bottle when in transit? Someone told me it wasnt necessary! Many thanks

Hi Chris. Good job thought you could have mentioned left handed thread for gas tap. Keep them coming 👍😀
Good point Glen!
Chris, I have to agree, I thought someone had wrung the thread until I watched another video.
The 907 is butane gas, what bottle will fit to use for winter camping using propane please?
Thank you - good clear video.
Hi Chris,
As always excellent video, is there an additional rubber washer between the regulator and the Gok valve? Thanks
Can you tell me if the same fittings apply in Europe?
Any problems replacing the cylinder when in Italy. Thanks Russ.

Try and find the chassis number for your vehicle, then contact your local dealership and ask for the parts department. They will be able to help :).
That was a good advice about gas leakage

Hi Chris, is there a part number for the valve, as I have just purchased a 19 reg vehicle from VW and the valve was missing.
Unfortunately these seem to be hard to find in Scandinavia / Sweden. I’m investigating if a Primagaz 2012 could be an option.
I´m not able to unscrew the lid, any advice pls ? Looks like the bottle is not upright and is jamming the lid to turn
Problem solved, heating up the lid with a hair dryer did the trick, added some vaseline when replacing to lube it
Left hand thread, gets 'em every time!
Ha, doh!
would love to fit a taller composite tank there that triples the volume

I wish the cooking was electric, fueled by the diesel fuel for the engine. Seems much saver and handy to me.
How exactely would you turn the diesel into electric power? Not as easy as you might think.Gas cooking is quite a well working thing.
