Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a 2021 action horror film written and directed by Johannes Roberts. Adapted from the stories of the first and second games by Capcom, it serves as a reboot of the Resident Evil film series and is the seventh live-action film based on the video game series.
The film stars Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Donal Logue, and Neal McDonough. Set in 1998, it follows a group of survivors trying to survive during a zombie outbreak in Raccoon City. It is the first live-action film in the series not to feature Milla Jovovich in the lead role as Alice.

Awesome to see this one up again between this film and that craptastic Netflix TV series we won't be seeing anything live action wise done for "Resident Evil" in a very long long time what's sad is that it's so simple just copy and paste what you see in either the first game or the second game not trying to put both games in a blender or some boring WOKE BS they had on that short lived Netflix series IMHO.
I love Resident Evil movies stars Mila Jovovich. She is a superb, badass actress. which her real life director husband Paul W.S Anderson. He is a best director than Johannes Roberts.

It still amazes me that they managed screw up this franchise even more now than they ever did even after Milla Jovavich and Paul W.S. Anderson pretty much ran it into the ground.
Hearing how bad this one was, the Milla Jovavich ones are decent. I never played the games but the only ones I don't mind are the first one and Afterlife and that's it. And I don't mind Ali Larter as Claire and Wentworth Miller was cool.
The only way we'll ever get good RE live action is if Capcom brought fans in help make it

Sure, you obviously never seen Troll 2, Jeepers Creepers Reborn, The Room. Etc in no way shape or form is this one of the worst films ever made. This movie has awesome sets, cinematography, makeup etc. These troll comments are sad

This movie and that embarrassing, Resident Evi Netflix series prove that Hollywood just doesn't care about getting it right or doing this franchise justice and the sooner we realize that the better IMO.
This movie still Sucks and makes the Resident Evil Milla Jovavich movies look like Masterpieces in comparison.

Plus it was a movie that I saw it in Caribbean Cinemas in plaza del Sol mall one last time which was great because we were originally going to see it in Caribbean Cinemas In Plaza Las Americas mall but things got complicated and we decided to see it in Caribbean Cinemas in plaza del Sol mall instead

Hey there, Victor. Yeah, I agree with that. I like _Ghostbusters_ more than _Resident Evil._ Been a fan of the GBs for far longer. _Resident Evil 2_ (original PS1) is the best of the series and shouldn't have been defiled by this movie. The Milla Jovovich films largely avoided the plot of _RE2,_ and for good reason. They had a Licker in the first movie, but that was about it. Everything else was taken from _Resident Evil 3_ onward.

As someone who doesn't play the resident evil games for me I enjoyed the milla movies in that they made me laugh. They were better than most modern comedies in my opinion. I think the milla films were more made for fans of american mcgee's alice series. I think that if they didn't have the title of resident evil there wouldn't be as much complaining about the films. Never saw welcome to raccoon city though. I thought paul w s anderson would have been a good choice for that Winnie the pooh blood and honey movie.
Re2 remake is my favorite horror game. I have boycotted this movie after hearing this review before. Though maybe I should watch it so I can be mad with you

I haven't seen Resident Evil Remake 2021 but I do Love Neal McDonough he's a Great Actor very Charismatic & Talented 1 of my favorite actors I Love Fire Down Below, 1 Man's Justice, Star Trek: 1st Contact, The Timeline, Captain America 2011, Red 2, 88 Minutes, Walking Tall 2004, The Hitcher Remake, Sonic 1, Darkman 1, & The Guardian 2006 those are my favorites of his❤

I disagree big time, movie looks great with the Budget it had. Zombies look dope, Licker looks fantastic, sets and cinematography are great. Just trolling, I'm a die hard RE fan since 96 and this was awesome.

Resident Evil Games 1through were creepy and music , Even part 7 and Village it didnt feel like Resident Evil were still good horror

Great review Matt personally I'll might Skip this 1 cuz it sounds pretty Generic but I Love Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, & 4 those are Underrated Fin Action Horror Films with Milla Jovovich, 5 is Ok but definitely my Least Favorite in the franchise I hated 6 thats the Worst in the Franchise IMO
