I feel like Trips from the clinch are highly underrated and take less energy from you than if you commit to a double leg. If you look at some of the best fighters (Rousey, Barao, Romero, etc.) they do great from getting in the clinch first and then working for a takedown from there. Even Dos Santos tricked MIocic with that. Thanks for the videos guys, these are awesome!
You need to pull on the other side of our opponent's body (his right side), to get him to react and bring his left leg forward. If you pull on your opponent's left side directly, he will feel something is coming, and won't bring his left leg forward... Classical judo stuff.
Alessio Orazi That was the second one. The first one was against Derek Brunson and it looked like he had a big shit stain on his shorts lol. Thanks for the compliment and the follow Alessio. Much appreciated!
+listeningandlearnin1 That isn't always the case. If you're trying to get them to land flat then yes but, you can get countered easier with the head on the same side. Also head position is less important with that version. O Uchi Gari, the standing version, is much more crucial to have the head positioning in the right spot; whereas O Uchi Gake (the one in the video) is less dependant because you aren't trying to stay up right.
Congratulations Master!! I really liked it and i learned very easy, cause you teach very well. I just want to know, if exist differents style of takedown, because it shows in the video, a lot of name fighters that used your own way to takedown. Am I sure? Or i did wrong understand?
I don't know I have seen high level Judoka and wrestlers do this and pull it off. Also I have done it and haven't been reversed. Yet. Knock on wood. I've seen most Americans do it using the overhook side. Which is what your talking about i suppose.
@@jscarpa2002 Ill find a link one moment. I dont think it matters if its an under or overhook. I have used both but the overhook is what works best. The important thing is you do not want to separate yourself from the transition motion of a throw into a trip by being on the other side of the head. That space can allow him more room to react and does not allow optimal weight on your opponents leg
th-cam.com/video/Ox0PKnp6P6k/w-d-xo.html @Dannyboy Green go to 8:54 into the video Coach Esposito shows the technique I am talking about. Also I should have said drag in my last comment instead of throw lol but it is the motion of basically sucking him inn or basically loading your opponent up for the trip

shogun does it all the time too. As far as just wresting goes romero has to be the sickest guy out there
MultiHinrik Romero just makes it look so easy. He's like a character from street fighter.
Laki Nua You're totally welcome, and great points! We have some sick ones coming for Vitor and Weidman that may have to wait now:(
Damn those Rousey and Barao shouts aged badly in 4 years. (Not that I disagree with the point of your comment)
@@SubmissionRadio you short beta male
Thanks for the technique
My BJJ partner always does this and I haven’t learned to counter it because I never see it coming!

Love it. Chael Sonnen has a badass inside leg trip as well.
Never ever ever ever trip to the under hook side. Always trip to the overhook for success.
Aj Dinsmore no Romero did that to Paulo costa and Paulo was able to get back up
Why is that?
@@samr826 im thinking its because the overhook prevents you from being tossed if someone realises what you are trying to do
Is that just so you can control the arm and pass the guard?
@@carlandkylesadventures2844 its cause you need to weigh down on an overhook to finish the trip with any kind of authority
Show the Yoel stool technique, the best to win the fights!
Alessio Orazi Which one? The one where you sit on the stool? Or the one where you make stool in your pants?
Submission Radio no the first one, where he cheat vs Tim kennedy, maybe you can remember!gj for channel anyway!i follow SR :)
Alessio Orazi That was the second one. The first one was against Derek Brunson and it looked like he had a big shit stain on his shorts lol. Thanks for the compliment and the follow Alessio. Much appreciated!
The stool didnt change the outcome of the fight. Yoel romero was winning the whole fight and he killed kennedy. Romero MW champ 2015.
I like the grabbing the glove better, that's the technique Kennedy used to hurt Yoel
Very good one to know. It'll be cool to try and surprise some of the wrestlers in my class with this
only correction is having the head on the same side you trip. great technique

Doesn’t matter
if you land on your underhook you will get sweept you should have the underhook on the oppersite side to the reaping leg right?
Congratulations Master!!

OUCHI HARI?
Very goodsecret of this tecnique work
This is wrong. You trip to the overhook side, not the underhook.
LyfordJL Interesting. Can you elaborate on the theory behind it?
LyfordJL We just watched Robin Black break it down with footage from Romero vs Tavares.......yep, you're right
Makes sense. Thanks heaps for clarifying *****!
it can be from done either side u just need them to be heavy on their foot thats is on the side u want to trip
Submission Radio I would imagine it's because you'd push them towards that side with the underhook
Yes sure and your right knee explodes when gets the ground 2:16
That's the point of the move. You will fall into half guard
Giant baby man!
O uchi gare! :-)
2:20 i see u in the background lol
0:19
I always hated the inside trip cause if the bad position of the knee looks like you hurt yourself
"goo luk taking me down with gay Jesus by my side!!"
- Yoel Romero
Christopher Cano Dweeb!!!
How do I remain on a stool unconscious for 2 minutes? Recover and win a fight I should have lost?
The same way you illegally grab the glove to hurt your opponent and even after cheating you end up losing the fight anyways.
John 14:21
Soooo wrong. Whenever doing trips you trip same side your head is on or you can get reversed.

@@jscarpa2002 look up Zack Esposito. He does it the right way and was high level. Now he is the head assistant coach behind John Smith.

wrong side. if you go that side he will throw you with his underhook
Worst inside trip ive seen
at least use southpaw stance ...
This video is wrong. He did it on the wrong side.
