This mall use to be one of the busiest malls around and now it basically abandoned with only a handful of businesses left.
So sad to see it this way.
Did you use to hang out there? comment below!
Thanks for posting. Gen X here. Lots of good memories. Buying a leather jacket on layaway at Wilson’s, seeing movies like Back to the Future and Pretty in Pink, trapped in the smoking section at Big Boy while my mom and aunties had a cigarette with their coffee 😂It was always a fun visit!
The breakfast play area by the elevator was the best. I made many friends in the giant cereal bowl. I loved sitting by those orange prism lights, just staring into them and absorbing the heat. Every Christmas, I still think about taking pictures with Santa there and writing letters that got sent up to the north pole in those sucking shoot tube things. Olga's food was the beeest with that orange drink. My favorite store was the Disney store and the awesome character window displays. I also loved the Warner Bros store that had this Marvin Martian spaceship thing you could hang out in. Man, I've never seen another mall like it since. Such good memories.
When a T-shirt is five dollars you know something is seriously wrong😂
Fun fact: they used to have 2 Kerby's Koney islands in the mall one in the food court where soul of detroit is and one near lord & taylor the lord & taylor one closed in 2015 and the food court one closed in 2020 i think
