I hate that it took till the end of super for a character from original Dragonball to get a transformation but piccolo is my favorite so I’m just happy it’s finally here
I like him. I kniw how he got the form can seem unearned but piccilo fused with Kami so I like the the idea of him getting power drom the dragon balls.

I think Piccolo will always be my favourite Z Fighter, honestly. Since the beginning he's been one of the most badass, likeable and compelling characters in the series. And he's finally come full circle.
Yeah I think Piccolo is definitely my favorite, it was Vegeta for a while but I gained a new appreciation for his arc. He’s just such a well written character, and I’m overjoyed he’s back where he belongs
I think it's really appropriate how every one of piccolos power ups is about him embracing namek and moving away from the Demon King. You can see his changes as they happen. Absorbing nail and meeting his people, absorbing Kami and becoming whole again, wishing on the dragon not to regress to his youth but acknowledging he needs to progress and having it granted to him. One of the franchises strongest arcs
My only problem with this issue is other Nameks with no God or identity issues. Still didn't get power ups like he did. In fact, they are much weaker. So why does embracing one's identity should change anything?

Piccolo is the only Namek we know of whose gone through what he has and done what he's done. Shenron has to specifically give him the power necessary for Orange. Maybe now that he's figured it out he can teach other Namekians to do it like every Super saiyan after Goku and Vegeta.

Then there’s a problem with that theory if we look at vegeta, gohan, goten and trunks. They don’t share the same experience as goku. Yet they could all go super saiyan. We like to try and make sense of things, but in the end it’s just the author pulling random things out of his ass.

Damn, I never even considered the fact that Orange Piccolo is Orange because he not only got a power up from the dragonballs, but the fact that it basically IS Piccolo absorbing Shenron, or at least what part of Kami's soul was used to make Shenron
Why do you people do this? Why are you intentionally ignoring what happens? I don’t know if you were skipping around or weren’t paying attention, but he gets his wish along side, a bonus. That bonus was his own power, being returned back to him in the video, along with a unlocking of his potential. And he already got kami’s power when he absorbed him. I am assuming you have ears use them.
If anything Super Hero and piccolos story in it is parallel with Gohan when he got his Ultimate form and then beast. Toriyama even said leading up to the movie that Piccolos Ultimate form is the same as Gohans. Taking that along side whats stated when both of them are given these forms. Elder kai stated when doing the potential unlock to gohan that it would bring him to his potential and far beyond it. When shenron unlocked piccolos he was stated to be given a bonus. In both these cases Beast and Orange would be that bonus and the Beyond. So no i dont go buying the theory that its piccolos life being restored to him.
This is a beautiful analysis of Picollo's character. I'm pretty sure Akira Toriyama didn't fully intend for his character arc to be like this, but this point of view is the best way to look at it. This is especially true with the part of Shenron giving back the life the Nameless Namekian gave to him to Picollo, it only makes sense that he achieved a new form because of it. What with the dragon able to grant so many powerful wishes, from resurrecting so many people to theoretically granting immortality. I hope Toriyama sees this and officially tells us this is what he intended all along. I guess because of this my new headcanon name for Piccolo's new form is 'Dragon Picollo.'
Remember what Shenron says in the dub, and specifically how it’s phrased: *All you have…plus a bit extra.* What do you think that ‘bit extra’ is? Shenron itself, and the power used to create it. Dende has become far stronger than Kami was when creating Shenron originally, and as such, Kami’s power isn’t needed in Shenron anymore. So…it returns, as a little bonus.

Just realized with your video how much more detail there is to this new transformation I already loved. He's not orange for no reason, it's the color of the Dragonballs themselves. I kind of wish they called the transformation Dragon Piccolo or Piccolo Ryuu to better represent the origin of his power
Dragonball has this trend of dumb names for power ups. Like "beyond super saiyan" is just "Super Saiyan 2" but Goku dubs this so it's fair that it sounds dumb. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (already dumb) gets redubbed Super Saiyan Blue just referencing the hair color. It's like they just thought what the fans would call it and made it official. Even if they did call it Dragon Piccolo, we all would've went with the more description Orange Piccolo anyway. But perhaps, we can go with Tang Piccolo? 🤣
Toriyama said he’s called Orange Piccolo because that seemed like the sort of name Piccolo would choose for his transformation since Piccolo isn’t exactly the creative type
Piccolo has been one of my favorite characters from the start of DBZ. I love his relationship with Gohan, and I am glad they showed that side of him in this movie. He finally gets the respect he deserves in DBS Superhero and that is why it is so great.

This movie gave me an even bigger appreciation for Piccolo, making him tied with Veggie as my favorite Dragon Ball character. I love how you pieced this all together. I like to call Orange Piccolo “Dragon Warrior Piccolo”. Just feel it makes sense with his journey.
I really enjoy this new trend of transformations being connected to character arcs. Piccolo’s journey, gohan beast referencing his potential, ultra instinct which is a nod to all the teachings goku went through and ultra ego which is connected to vegeta’s guilt of past actions and acceptance of his nature
I'm with you there. Combining the Action with the Storytelling like this is probably the best direction DB can go in. SSJ 1 and SSJ2 both had immense purpose in the Namek and Cell Sagas respectively. SSJ 1 was Goku embracing his Saiyan heritage and realizing the legend of the Super Saiyan, while SSJ2 was Gohan finally taking control of his inner rage and using it to achieve unimaginable heights. Way better than SSJ3 just sort of existing.
also gas's zombie form, showcasing how his life was exchanged for power and that he's simply a puppet, and black freeza showing freeza's pent up frustration with the saiyans and how he's now a reversal of what he was once before, no longer relying on natural power and instead training for it, ironically in a arc where 2 characters wish for their power.
Well you can see his two transformations like this. His potential awakeneded form is what he would have had if not only merged with Kami but with Piccolo Daimao as well as he would have been truely completed all you have. And a little extra: The orange form is what represent the namekians true power. The unlocking potential and the assimilation in this case the dragon connected all the namekians's power in one body like in the assimilation and making the champion all powerful the Saviour of Namek
the ultimate form is the true potential of the super namekian, a person who could've apparently low-diff'd freeza on namek is a both a dragon and warrior type namekian, and the orange form is piccolo's own hard work realized into a literal form, something akin to a super saiyan.
It is crazy when you think about how much potential power Piccolo has. He was 3 years old when he fought Goku at the World Martial Arts Tournament, and he was essentially equal in strength for most of the fight, and was even stronger than either King Piccolo or Kami. That alone is insane.

Piccolo is my favorite character in Dragon Ball, so I'm really happy that he's gotten a massive glow-up in Super Hero. I'm hoping the manga fleshes out his transformation a bit more and giving him some new moves and depth.
He’s my favorite too! His arc is just absolutely incredible starting with the Saiyan saga, and I’m so, so glad he’s gotten a necessary power boost. So glad he won’t be pushed to the side anymore
Piccolo is always been one of my favorite dragon Ball z characters and I just got a chance to watch the new movie recently. And I loved every minute of it
This will be added to my favorites, one of if not my most beloved characters in Dragon Ball the series. A video dedicated to him, and you even touched on his history. When everyone basically forgot he was a villain and has been changing ever since he was created.
I liked his growth in super. It felt paced. He went from getting slain in the revenge F saga to beating super saiyan 2 gohan by the beginning of the TOP. That’s a good jump for piccolo.
Initially in RoF they treated him like shit but I’m happy with the growth from U6 until now! I started out not even watching Super and just reading summaries to see if Piccolo was involved and then being disappointed. Now I couldn’t be happier!!
@@DougFantasy That would be stupid if Super Saiyan was "the chosen one". Then it just makes Goku's whole journey feel pre-determined. That's ok for Piccolo since he isn't the main character, but it would be dumb and devalue a lot of the story if they did that with super saiyan
Piccolo's wish is the only Power up wish that I like. It makes sense that a member of the species that created the balls could gain so much power. It does seem like an ass pull, but it's more of Namekian lore expansion. Piccolo in my opinion is the only one who deserves to receive power in this way
I kinda don’t like him getting the form this way. I don’t see him having his full potential unlocked reaching god level of power. Maybe up to the power of super sayin 3. It just seems like way to much of a power boost
@@supermegadong7597 It only seems that way when you forget that even though he was divided in half, Piccolo had comparable potential to Goku. The complete Nameless Namekian has potential more in line with Goten and Trunks, and the man _never stops training_ When you consider that, it makes sense that with his potential unlocked Piccolo would shoot up to Blue tier + As for how Orange Piccolo is relative to Peak Goku and Vegeta, that remains to be explained but I am hoping we get some good lore on it. Personal theory is that Orange Piccolo is the form of the Namekian Progenitor, the form of a Complete Namekian in possession of the powers of both the Dragon Clan and the Warrior Clan.

@@supermegadong7597 decades of ceaseless training with way more Potential than Goku or Vegeta, culminating with getting his potential unlocked. Future Trunks made it to Blue Level without God Ki and so did Piccolo.

I always identified with Gohan and my dad wasn't around for a lot of my childhood. (Everything's good now) I just say that to emphasize that I've always loved piccolo as a character since I was a little boy and his fatherly attitude toward gohan was something I needed to see at that age.
Every Dragonball fan has a guy or two they really just love. For me it's Piccolo. I've always loved the relationship he had with Gohan. I've always loved their dynamic. And I've enjoyed watching Gohan be more of a family man and mentor to others. Be that with Future Trunks or Videl, Pan etc. Piccolo and Gohan just compliment each other so well.
@hextraordinaire2347 then got completely abandoned after 2nd form cell who he had no business fighting yet managed to be useful, then never again. Like he just disappears after cell is gone and abandons his friends completely
That's my position with Krillin. He's a man so far out of his depth it passes beyond comedic and into tragic, his wife is utterly beyond him in combat power but the one on the front lines, doing what they can is him. (I actually appreciate that the series never tries to rake 18 over the coals for that, she is who she is and her husband understands that as much as she understands him going out to risk his life heroically is who he is.) Krillin is punching up a mountain of power difference constantly, but he's always there putting in work and supporting as he can. For the vast majority of people, who've been humbled by others just, having more talent than they do? That's something we can viscerally understand, and makes his actions more personally respectable.
i've LOVED what dbs super hero did for piccolo and gohan, it felt like they were just falling off because of goku and vegetas success, even though gohan and piccolo arent my favorite i still get chills watching them transform in the movie.

This was a really good dive into Piccolos character. He's been on a journey from the moment he was spit out in an egg by his father, first wanting to enact revenge and dominate the world, but changing over time as he surrounded himself with kind people and learned more of his heritage, making him a more complete character in DBS Super Hero. Hopefully going forward he is more relevant in the story and in terms of his own power. Edit: I also really like how the characters are now getting their own power/new forms from character development.

I feel like Piccolo’s Orange form is just the beginning for him. With Toriyama retconning the origins of Namekians, I feel like there’s a larger story to be told with them. And I’m fairly sure it’s going to have something to do with Zalama.

Super Hero caught me off guard with Orange Piccolo, his first transformation scene with the Ajisa tree is majestic, astoundingly beautiful. this was a really great video. Piccolo is a great character who has stood toe to toe with the biggest hitters just like Goku and Vegeta but he never got his due. You explaining all of these things such as; the namecian heritage he received from Nail, I never connected those dots so well done on that. I'm really happy with him receiving a power up the Namecian lore has always been in my opinion a lot cooler than Saiyan lore, because they were still great warriors however instead of war they chose the path of peace.
I feel like now that Piccolo is finally complete, he is no longer a half of a Namekian, he fused with another Namekian completing him even more, and finally getting all his potential unlock, he look almost complete but strangly i feel more like this is a new start to the devlopment of Piccolo, he is finally entirely himself and now he can finally really grow has the Earthling Namekian he is
I just watched the movie (have kiddos and didnt have the time for the big screen ) so i was late to the party but i pretty much caught all you mentioned except the official meaning to the tree on his back and not making a connection of the life power and color. Definitely subbed for more insights like this. Loved it and hope to see more :P
The music when you talk about Shenron knowing his life came from piccolo, and that creation bestowed upon went back to piccolo, really made me think that they have a true bond.
There’s no way in hell Toriyama put that much thought into it, that said this theory is spotless. Another case of Dragon Ball fans giving the series more love and insight than the creator. Makes sense in a way I suppose.
i always loved piccolo as a character never really saw the deepness behind his growth but was always sad that they threw him away as a gag character. glad to see him finally become complete :D
I am still unsure if the whole super hero series and movie are actually supposed to be canon and if so, canon to the anime or manga. But you're explanation of how important this suped up version of piccolo reflects his growth and journey as a character has convinced me to at least give the movie a go.
I’m pretty sure it is supposed to be canon because all of the dragon ball super movies(like broly or battle of gods) are canon. Superhero had explicit involvement from toriyama unlike the Z movies.

And we've only had one dbs movie, which was broly, given battle of the gods and F were both titled a Z movies.

Piccolo has come a long way in his character growth from supposed to becoming King Piccolo's successor and taking over the world to becoming a new Protector of Earth like his friends. I'm happy, Piccolo got a lot of love in the Super Hero Movie because he deserved it. 🙂

If that was planned (who knows with Toriyama) then that is just incredible. I love how beast gohan looks but they definitely put more effort into giving piccolos transformation meaning and it just felt right. Looks super badass too. Hoping the manga adds more meaning to gohans too.
Yeah, Orange Piccolo is definitely the better power up, but Beast Gohan is by no means bad. The design overall is really excellent, especially the red eyes

I love the theory orange Piccolo is the power coming back that he gave to Shenron, Toriyama's last story was the dragon that started it all giving its life energy back to its creator.
I hadn't had the chance to see the movie. One thing or another popped up and I kept pushing it back. Despite friends pleading with me to watch it. Then Akira Toriyama passed and I/like many others was depressed. That following weekend, I finally watched it. The further the film went on, the more joy it brought me. For a brief moment I felt like I was 15 years old watching Dragon Ball Z during the midnight run of Toonami. I watched until the end credits, and realized this was possibly the last handiwork of Toriyama. Now I am sad again.
Honestly Piccolo has been my favorite character in the Dragon Ball. It just sucks that he doesn’t get as much respect as he deserves, but so glad they finally gave him a much needed power up.
I kinda want to include what you said, I think in many ways Piccolo also has slowly becoming the Namekian Savior and Super Namekian of legends, he's fully become the Son of Katas, the Nameless Namekian.
Its make sense that piccolo going to be the one to defeat black frieza, hes the first fighter to ever overpower frieza in the namek saga so hes going to be the one to finish frieza for the last time
Plus everyone always talks about revenge for the Saiyans but the Namekians never got their revenge….maybe Gohan and Piccolo team up to kill Frieza in the name of both races

Orange piccolo is cool I like how they gave piccolo a power up to keep up with Goku and Vegeta and to a certain extent Gohan as well. Hope the humans get buffed next.
If Broly, Gohan, Frieza, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Granolah all surpassed the power level of Jiren from the TOP at least have Krillin, Tien and Yamaha have a power level that is close to or rivals SSJ god, I know Trunks and Goten are eventually gonna get stronger too and androids 17 and 18 including Gamma 1 are already powerful in their own right.
it only could've been improved by making piccolo absorb guru in the namek saga to further improve piccolo in all aspects. Something you did in on of your what if's. Outside of that... this feels like one of the best journies so far

It's nice that this transformation has an actual meaning. I hope they explain ssbe in a cool way if we ever get a season two. Vegeta starting to tap into destruction or something like that. I also think beast could be expanded on once the story catches up. A head cannon of mine for ssj rage is that it is Trunk's trying to go ssb, but partially failing. I think this because he slims down (like ssg), he gets a blue aura in the same style as the other god transformations, and he retains the yellow hair and aura of ssj.

I never considered that Piccolo wish was just Kamis power returning to him. I love it, finally Piccolo is on God Level.
Why do you people do this? Why are you intentionally ignoring what happens? I don’t know if you were skipping around or weren’t paying attention, but he gets his wish along side, a bonus. That bonus was his own power, being returned back to him in the video, along with a unlocking of his potential. And he already got kami’s power when he absorbed him. I am assuming you have ears use them.

If anything Super Hero and piccolos story in it is parallel with Gohan when he got his Ultimate form and then beast.
Toriyama even said leading up to the movie that Piccolos Ultimate form is the same as Gohans. Taking that along side whats stated when both of them are given these forms.
Elder kai stated when doing the potential unlock to gohan that it would bring him to his potential and far beyond it.
When shenron unlocked piccolos he was stated to be given a bonus.
In both these cases Beast and Orange would be that bonus and the Beyond.
So no i dont go buying the theory that its piccolos life being restored to him.

This is a beautiful analysis of Picollo's character. I'm pretty sure Akira Toriyama didn't fully intend for his character arc to be like this, but this point of view is the best way to look at it. This is especially true with the part of Shenron giving back the life the Nameless Namekian gave to him to Picollo, it only makes sense that he achieved a new form because of it. What with the dragon able to grant so many powerful wishes, from resurrecting so many people to theoretically granting immortality. I hope Toriyama sees this and officially tells us this is what he intended all along. I guess because of this my new headcanon name for Piccolo's new form is 'Dragon Picollo.'

Remember what Shenron says in the dub, and specifically how it’s phrased: *All you have…plus a bit extra.* What do you think that ‘bit extra’ is? Shenron itself, and the power used to create it. Dende has become far stronger than Kami was when creating Shenron originally, and as such, Kami’s power isn’t needed in Shenron anymore. So…it returns, as a little bonus.

Dragonball has this trend of dumb names for power ups. Like "beyond super saiyan" is just "Super Saiyan 2" but Goku dubs this so it's fair that it sounds dumb. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (already dumb) gets redubbed Super Saiyan Blue just referencing the hair color. It's like they just thought what the fans would call it and made it official. Even if they did call it Dragon Piccolo, we all would've went with the more description Orange Piccolo anyway. But perhaps, we can go with Tang Piccolo? 🤣

Piccolo has been one of my favorite characters from the start of DBZ. I love his relationship with Gohan, and I am glad they showed that side of him in this movie. He finally gets the respect he deserves in DBS Superhero and that is why it is so great.

I'm with you there. Combining the Action with the Storytelling like this is probably the best direction DB can go in. SSJ 1 and SSJ2 both had immense purpose in the Namek and Cell Sagas respectively. SSJ 1 was Goku embracing his Saiyan heritage and realizing the legend of the Super Saiyan, while SSJ2 was Gohan finally taking control of his inner rage and using it to achieve unimaginable heights. Way better than SSJ3 just sort of existing.

also gas's zombie form, showcasing how his life was exchanged for power and that he's simply a puppet, and black freeza showing freeza's pent up frustration with the saiyans and how he's now a reversal of what he was once before, no longer relying on natural power and instead training for it, ironically in a arc where 2 characters wish for their power.

It is crazy when you think about how much potential power Piccolo has. He was 3 years old when he fought Goku at the World Martial Arts Tournament, and he was essentially equal in strength for most of the fight, and was even stronger than either King Piccolo or Kami. That alone is insane.

Piccolo is always been one of my favorite dragon Ball z characters and I just got a chance to watch the new movie recently. And I loved every minute of it
This will be added to my favorites, one of if not my most beloved characters in Dragon Ball the series. A video dedicated to him, and you even touched on his history. When everyone basically forgot he was a villain and has been changing ever since he was created.
I liked his growth in super. It felt paced. He went from getting slain in the revenge F saga to beating super saiyan 2 gohan by the beginning of the TOP. That’s a good jump for piccolo.
Initially in RoF they treated him like shit but I’m happy with the growth from U6 until now! I started out not even watching Super and just reading summaries to see if Piccolo was involved and then being disappointed. Now I couldn’t be happier!!
Now I kind o feel like Orange Piccolo deserves a sort of reverence, to respect how truly deserved and difficult it was fo him to obtain this form

Piccolo's wish is the only Power up wish that I like. It makes sense that a member of the species that created the balls could gain so much power. It does seem like an ass pull, but it's more of Namekian lore expansion.
Piccolo in my opinion is the only one who deserves to receive power in this way

As for how Orange Piccolo is relative to Peak Goku and Vegeta, that remains to be explained but I am hoping we get some good lore on it.
Personal theory is that Orange Piccolo is the form of the Namekian Progenitor, the form of a Complete Namekian in possession of the powers of both the Dragon Clan and the Warrior Clan.

Future Trunks made it to Blue Level without God Ki and so did Piccolo.

Every Dragonball fan has a guy or two they really just love. For me it's Piccolo. I've always loved the relationship he had with Gohan. I've always loved their dynamic. And I've enjoyed watching Gohan be more of a family man and mentor to others. Be that with Future Trunks or Videl, Pan etc.
Piccolo and Gohan just compliment each other so well.
Meanwhile us Tien fans are dying as everyone that isn't human gets a new recolor

That's my position with Krillin. He's a man so far out of his depth it passes beyond comedic and into tragic, his wife is utterly beyond him in combat power but the one on the front lines, doing what they can is him. (I actually appreciate that the series never tries to rake 18 over the coals for that, she is who she is and her husband understands that as much as she understands him going out to risk his life heroically is who he is.) Krillin is punching up a mountain of power difference constantly, but he's always there putting in work and supporting as he can.
For the vast majority of people, who've been humbled by others just, having more talent than they do? That's something we can viscerally understand, and makes his actions more personally respectable.
i've LOVED what dbs super hero did for piccolo and gohan, it felt like they were just falling off because of goku and vegetas success, even though gohan and piccolo arent my favorite i still get chills watching them transform in the movie.

This was a really good dive into Piccolos character. He's been on a journey from the moment he was spit out in an egg by his father, first wanting to enact revenge and dominate the world, but changing over time as he surrounded himself with kind people and learned more of his heritage, making him a more complete character in DBS Super Hero. Hopefully going forward he is more relevant in the story and in terms of his own power.
Edit: I also really like how the characters are now getting their own power/new forms from character development.
To me the biggest character development Piccolo ever got is that HE GOT A HOUSE.

this was a really great video. Piccolo is a great character who has stood toe to toe with the biggest hitters just like Goku and Vegeta but he never got his due. You explaining all of these things such as; the namecian heritage he received from Nail, I never connected those dots so well done on that. I'm really happy with him receiving a power up the Namecian lore has always been in my opinion a lot cooler than Saiyan lore, because they were still great warriors however instead of war they chose the path of peace.
Piccolo went from getting beaten up by Androids to beating up Androids.

The music when you talk about Shenron knowing his life came from piccolo, and that creation bestowed upon went back to piccolo, really made me think that they have a true bond.
There’s no way in hell Toriyama put that much thought into it, that said this theory is spotless. Another case of Dragon Ball fans giving the series more love and insight than the creator. Makes sense in a way I suppose.

I am still unsure if the whole super hero series and movie are actually supposed to be canon and if so, canon to the anime or manga.
But you're explanation of how important this suped up version of piccolo reflects his growth and journey as a character has convinced me to at least give the movie a go.
I’m pretty sure it is supposed to be canon because all of the dragon ball super movies(like broly or battle of gods) are canon. Superhero had explicit involvement from toriyama unlike the Z movies.

I love how beast gohan looks but they definitely put more effort into giving piccolos transformation meaning and it just felt right. Looks super badass too. Hoping the manga adds more meaning to gohans too.
Yeah, Orange Piccolo is definitely the better power up, but Beast Gohan is by no means bad. The design overall is really excellent, especially the red eyes

I love the theory orange Piccolo is the power coming back that he gave to Shenron, Toriyama's last story was the dragon that started it all giving its life energy back to its creator.
I hadn't had the chance to see the movie. One thing or another popped up and I kept pushing it back. Despite friends pleading with me to watch it.
Then Akira Toriyama passed and I/like many others was depressed. That following weekend, I finally watched it. The further the film went on, the more joy it brought me. For a brief moment I felt like I was 15 years old watching Dragon Ball Z during the midnight run of Toonami.
I watched until the end credits, and realized this was possibly the last handiwork of Toriyama.
Now I am sad again.
Daima was actually heavily worked on before his passing so that will be his final work on the series this fall :’)

I kinda want to include what you said, I think in many ways Piccolo also has slowly becoming the Namekian Savior and Super Namekian of legends, he's fully become the Son of Katas, the Nameless Namekian.
Its make sense that piccolo going to be the one to defeat black frieza, hes the first fighter to ever overpower frieza in the namek saga so hes going to be the one to finish frieza for the last time

If Broly, Gohan, Frieza, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Granolah all surpassed the power level of Jiren from the TOP at least have Krillin, Tien and Yamaha have a power level that is close to or rivals SSJ god, I know Trunks and Goten are eventually gonna get stronger too and androids 17 and 18 including Gamma 1 are already powerful in their own right.

it only could've been improved by making piccolo absorb guru in the namek saga to further improve piccolo in all aspects. Something you did in on of your what if's. Outside of that... this feels like one of the best journies so far

I also think beast could be expanded on once the story catches up.
A head cannon of mine for ssj rage is that it is Trunk's trying to go ssb, but partially failing. I think this because he slims down (like ssg), he gets a blue aura in the same style as the other god transformations, and he retains the yellow hair and aura of ssj.
