- My watch collection. I usually do maintenance videos but today I'm sharing my watch collection. Before being a maintenance tech I worked as a watchmaker having my own repair shops. That was absolutely THE most genuine SOTC I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing your stories and showing the collection. My favorite is the XEMEX…and that strap looks right at home on it! Makes me want to strap it on!

$ 800 for a Rolex and $ 500 for a Carrera? Those are good buys! Hopefully, you put battery in the Accutron, it's so nice that it deserves it.
Very good collection; pieces that are in used, not stored in a box as "investments", is my type of collection.

I haven't got around to putting the battery on the accutron😔. But I did remove the old one so it doesn't damage the movement. Yea, I got some good deals on most of my watches, but it's getting really hard to find rolex at bargain prices now.

These are the kind of collections I like. The ones that have watches you find when you physically out there in the world looking around. It's so easy nowadays to go on the computer and get whatever you want so there's no story with some people's collections.
Thank you!! I agree with that, I see alot of collections out their that are just the newest most expensive hardest to buy (unless you know the dealer). I believe those collections are great, but they don't really have anything intresting for me, thise are the watches that are just trending and apearing all over social media.

What I like about this video is each watch had a story. It was very personal. A watch should be personal to the wearer, not just another thing he owns.

Wow you definitely got some extreme bargains. Where I live (upstate N.Y) it’s extremely rare to even find decent watches for sale let alone at good prices. Loved the video and thanks for sharing

Thank you!! I really appriciate your comment. That's the beauty of watch collecting, everyone has diffrent taste in what we think is good. And it's weird because even that changes with time. Some watches that I liked I don't anymore and vise versa.

That xemex strap combo looks so awesome...where it more often it can be a real signature/standout piece..awesome collection its crazy how the presage is the newest but to me it’s the least attractive watch on the table...if that was my collection i would consolidate i would get rid of the tag,skx,alpina,shinola...maybe the coudora and you would turn out a profit and free up some cash to find some cool peices...thanks for showing

I've done it for years but I found out that the watches I would re purchase if I sold those would be either a planet ocean (which I've owned) or a sub (which I have also owned) but for the type of work I do now, those watches would be out with me working on plumbing, painting, air conditioners, ect ect. I just found that for my current life stage I don't really want to own really expensive watches that I would never wear or wear in high rist situations. I think at this stage I've gone full circle and only want watches I can wear and won't worry excessively about damaging.

Yea you're right!! Alot of the watch channels I follow just became advertising for those brands that only the rich can afford. In my experience I can admire an average man's decent watch more than a rich man's 3rd patek that he keeps separated from all his rolexes. And that is on the waiting list for a watch that he hasn't even seen but he buys it because it's limited.

I have 4 Citizen Eco-drive watches over 10 years old and they are still working great. One is over 20 years old and another is 15 years old and they both work great. A Citizen Eco-drive lasts at the very least 20 years...probably longer.
That's great!!! I have heard of some lasting 20yrs. But in my experience as a watchmaker the average was about 10yrs. I saw some that only went 5yrs. I think it all depends on the functions a watch has and the amount of time poeple let them drain without recharging. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks!! Yea, the pawnshops on the southside always have good watches. But I've bought them all over Tucson. Welcome back to the hobby!! Tucson is a great place to find good watches. My dad has a watch repair shop here, around Broadway and Campbell. Next to te safeway.
