Ale’s left hand while she is singing, amazing musician.
That hand is BUSY! LOL! She's just incredible. It's so hard to keep in mind that she's still just a teenager.

Ale is unbelievably talented. But I’m her biggest fan so I would say that.
The Thunder Child laying down a baseline you could surf on while the Heartbeat plays the drums like they owe her money. The Rock Star just rides the lightning and blows you away with her vocals. What a damn band. A live act for the ages.
The reason for the high bass level is because the person with the camera (mic) was all the way over by Ale and her stage cabinet. If he was more in the center, it would have had less of the bass punch. I'm just happy to have seen more of Ale singing while killing it on the bass! Great reaction! 🔥🤘⚡
Not enough people give Alejandra credit you have to remember she was pro-level at age 13..... Her bass playing carries the whole band it always does and her singing background vocals especially on this particular song and playing at the same time with the ones who watch her doing it's not easy to do playing bass
In case you haven't found out yet, the man is using a Sony A1 camera (4K @60 FPS.....Six Grand). The man is serious about his filming!

Ale is a badass bass player. PERIOD. Her fingering technique is impeccably flawless. She was well trained by Pablo Gonzales.
Great song! Dani doing a little Tom Morello on guitar. Vocals were brilliant with Dani providing her diverse powerful vocals while Ale’s voice blended smoothly while her left hand was all over the bass.
I was trying to place the sound on her solo and that's it...def Tom Morello-like!
Greetings Rob, I do know a bit about recording live shows. The reason the bass is so high is the location it was recorded at. When you are up that close up you are picking up the stage monitors and the bass for the show from the low end speakers under the stage. Hence the heavy bass. all the mids and highs come from the speakers above the stage. If you ever go to a concert the best sound is always at the center stage from 3/4 point between the sound board and the stage to the sound board. How I achieved perfect sound was set up a separate audio recording at the sound board then recorded the show on a high quality Panasonic 4k recorder. Then I took both recordings and blended them into one. But this is difficult because some bands frown on high quality cameras and sound equipment at there shows.

Good Morning! Another great start to my day! The cameraman was probably an Ale fan, and why wouldn't you be, so he was close to her amp. She is playing with a pick, which gives it more snap, her harmonies were very prominent. Dany is spot on, vocally and instrumentally. Pau is the Queen of the sneaky fill! You just can't beat The Warning live, it has just left me so "Satisfied"!

Dany has a subtlety to her singing that envelops you and then slaps you in the face with her intensity as she performs each song!

It's heavy bass because he is on the side of the stage in front of Ale. I have stood in front of Ale up against the stage and was of course mostly bass, and then moved to the center at the back of the venue. That is where the full wall of sound hits you.
If you can find a spot right in front of the sound board, THAT is perfect for smartphone videos. You won't get the best video opportunities, but sonically, it's the best place to be.
This is my favorite song off "Keep Me Fed". I love that pre-chorus too. First tine I heard it I was pleasantly surprised.

I recorded a lot of dead shows back in the day and always found the taper section was located behind the soundboard Midway this way you can get the proper sound from the stage without being one side to bass heavy or one side to guitar heavy because of the position of the amps
The person recording seems to be standing on the side of of the bass Amp I believe that's why it's so bass heavy.
It is actually because he is so close to the sound woofers below the stage. The reason he got the decent mids and highs are because it was recorded from the side and just far enough out that he is picking up the main speakers from above. Also he must be using external mics because built in camera mics can’t handle the volume.

It’s not a Wah pedal she’s using it’s a Digitec whammy pedal, if you listen carefully you’ll hear the pitch rising very high, it’s on a variable pedal the same as a Wah pedal but changes the pitch rather than the tone.
I've been with you since you came across The Warning. And on the same note I've been on the fence with some of the new songs But ! after they've been playing them awhile I believe they are all getting (sound) so much better and yes there's no better front Women out there, maybe I'm bias. HAHA

Excellent quality fan-shot video indeed! I think it's bass-heavy because the person videoing the song is on Ale's side of the stage closer to her amp. They are all so tremendously talented, but I can't help but be more and more impressed with Ale every time I see her. I think she's on track, and with longevity, will go down as one of the great bassists in rock, not just of her generation, but of all time. And that pre-chorus is fabulous the way it crescendos and explodes into the chorus!
This song sounds incredible live! I need to stop watching these live videos because they are starting to feel like spoilers for my upcoming concert in September. 😂

I think the cameraman was probably standing too close or closer to the bass cabinet which is why it seems too high in the eq

It's one of their oldest originals but XXI Century Blood, the title track of their first album, is still one of my favorite songs from them. Check out the official music video. They definitely didn't spare the budget for that video.

Hiya Rob - this track is if Nirvana and Garbage had a love child. I'm on the fence with Keep Me Fed studio versions - some great songs, some not so great, but they always kick live.
I'm really happy that you've found tracks on the album that bring a smile to your face. And Dany - that solo followed by crowd interaction and a smile.

I am guessing the bass issue is, in part, because the camera is near the bass cabinet with direct line of sight. The last TW show I recorded I was also on the Ale-side of the stage about 25 feet from the stage, in a elevated location. You could definitely feel the bass (had a set of ear bud in too, because it was loud). I positioned my camera partially behind a nearby partition wall to provide some "shelter" from the direct sound coming from on-stage bass cabinet. It seemed to work well.

I notice Dany is using her Fender baritone quite a bit lately. Gives their sound a big bottom.
I think the mix was bass-heavy because the person recording was standing on Ale's side and was picking up the volume from her Amp. It would be guitar-heavy if it was the opposite side. The best stage front mix will obviously be best if you're standing towards the middle.
Rob, as someone who stood on the left side of a live performance, I think the bass being too high is just because of where this person filmed. It is BASS CENTRAL over there due to Ale's amp she places behind her to feel her work (they talked about this in the Digital Tour Bus videos). Yeah, I pretty much just heard bass with some small accents of guitar and drums when I was on that left side. 🤣 My phone did a better job of picking up the mix, but it was still bass heavy, just like this recording.

The Wacken performance was great but the sound quality was terrible, Wacken really messed up. The best live full set is the one from Poland, it’s so much better than Wacken was!

It’s of one of the new songs as well,“Consume”. The video is really really good for a fan recording, the sound is great quality and also the video although is fixed, with no zooming or motion, I mean. This performance was this July the 10th at Arènes de Nîmes, France.

Its very interesting. Ive followed Rob for a while now and enjoyed his takes, his honesty. But i feel like I've been called out by him because i dont watch all his vids. So it appears im part of the reason he's stopping, kind of a punch in the face to be frank. All this talk about thin skinned people, looks like that issue is on both sides of the fence. But probably the best move if he's finding no enjoyment with this anymore.
