Been living Missoma for many years now...I’ve collected maybe a dozen of their pieces from getting a couple of pieces each year as a treat. They’re timeless for sure!

For the price the silver plated jewelry, you can get 14k solid gold at some shop. That will last you longer than gold plated. Eventually the plating will fade and leave the white metal base.
Yes definitely agree with you, you totally can! Although I love the styles that Missoma offers and sometimes you cant find those exact styles at shops that offer 14k gold! It’s totally a personal preference! 🙂

Also, in your opinion can someone shower with it on; go to sleep; exercise without the necklace getting any discolouration and/or damage?
For example I have a sterling silver chain with gold plating and I wear it all the time yet it looks the same as when I got it.
@@zeenatruya That is an excellent question! Missoma's Jewellery is generally made out of Gold Vermeil so it will last longer then gold plated jewellery without discolouration ... but personally I ALWAYS take my jewellery off in any circumstance where it might aid in tarnishing. The one off shower of sweat wont do much but if slept in/ showered in every day you might notice it discolouring a lot quicker. I hope this answer helped xx

@@BrieanaYoung Hello. I'm happy to help. I'll tell you about every piece. To start off, I love all of them. I now have 9 pieces, (and purchasing 2 more earrings today) I recently bought the "Lucy William Gold Roman coin necklace" very nice piece to have, very light. I always layer it. You definitely made me appreciate this piece more with your review and explaining the history. Thank you! The "LW Large Chunky Ridge Earrings" they're slightly heavy, I must admit. But, they look amazing. The quality surpasses my average earrings. Also received the "Gold Axion Chain Necklace" with the "Gold Malachite Sphere Clip-On Pendant". The two together is beautiful. The pendant is darker in person, but looks better in person. Green is my fav color so of course I love it. The necklace is extremely versatile since you can wear it alone or add pendants on it.The Axion chain is my fav piece. I wore it with the Roman chain, they layer beautifully. My most versatile piece is the "Gold Large Ridge Cross Chain". It's an everyday necklace for me. It's not so "large" in person at all. Also have the "LW Gold Legion Coin bracelet and necklace" its my least worn pieces. They also seem darker in person. The chain is chocker style and I just haven't been able to wear it with my crew neck sweaters. Perhaps in the summer I'll get more use of it. If I can go back, I would've waited in purchasing those 2, however, it was on sale and part of my first purchase. Last piece is the "LW Gold Lucky Charm necklace". This is also a piece I don't regret at all. Not fully necessary if you have the "Gold Axion Chain Necklace". I have a similar necklace to the "Gold Flat Curb Necklace" you own from Missoma, only I have it from Mejuri. I layer it with the this and the Cross Ridge chain or the Roman. Comparing to my other jewelry from Mejuri, Miranda Frye, I prefer Missoma. I love those other brands too but IMO Missoma has a more unique style, different to find in other brands. Also they feel heavier and better quality (some how). This message is super long but I hope it was as helpful as your review is! Once again, thank you ! 💕☺️

Very interested in buying Missoma. I currently own a lot of Mejuri and Leah Alexandra. And they are great quality but of course I buy the gold vermeil.
Owww, I've never heard of Leah Alexandra, so thank you for introducing me! 😊 Their pieces look beautiful! Yes, good choice on sticking with Gold Vermeil, so much better quality than gold plated. I would definitely recommend buying Missoma, they have some really classic but also trendy and unique pieces, if you're into that hehe! xx
I bought Missoma! Three necklaces and one ring with that 25% off sale! They are stunning. I will say they look a bit more brassy/yellow next to my mejuri/ Leah Alexandra gold vermeil but I am loving these pieces! Thanks again for your review and giving me the confidence to buy!!💛

In regards to your observation about them being a bit more yellow compared to your Mejuri/ Leah Alexandra pieces. i've noticed that Mejuri's solid gold pieces are 14k gold, so when compared to 18k gold vermeil it looks less vibrant. That's because it is made at a lower karat even when they are solid gold. Not sure if this was the case with your jewellery but just something to keep in mind as well. Glad this video gave you the confidence to buy xx

Hi! I am looking at buying my first Missoma
piece but I really don’t want the gold to fade when wearing it every day (except with showering and washing hand etc hah). Do you know if the gold always lasts or that it fades after for example 6 months?
Hey Chanelle, great question!! 😊 first thing to do is - Make sure you check what the material the jewellery is made out of. If it is solid gold- no worries! If it is gold vermeil is should last up to 2 or more years brand new. Some of the pendants on missomas necklaces are gold plated which tends to tarnish a lot quicker (for reference the Roman coin arc necklace shown in this video - the pendant is Gold plated) From my experience rings that are Gold vermeil tarnish a lot after 6 months when worn everyday. It’s great you take your jewellery off when showering & washing your hands!!! That is the best way to prevent tarnishing... Sweat, perfume and sleeping in jewellery can also aid in tarnishing! Really nice informative video. I really like the zoom in shots that you have chosen. My only suggestion would be to make a background music volume a little lower next time. You seem to be a really soft spoken person in nature :) Do you have any tips on storing gold vermeil jewelries? My missoma gold vermeil necklaces keep tarnishing on me even if I store them in separate airtight bags. But it doesnt happen with my silver necklaces from Missoma. Sterling silver jewelries dont really tarnish on me in general, so I am absolutely at loss as what to do with them :/
HI Manchir, thank you for watching my video & your suggestions! I will make sure the background music is a bit lower next time! 🙂 What type of airtight bags are you storing them in? If they are plastic then they can hold moisturer and quickly tarnish your jewellery. I've heard little dust bags are good, i store mine in a 3 tier glass jewellery box, making sure they are not touching. This seems to works well for me. Also make sure they are stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and ideally somewhere with low humidity to avoid tarnishing xx

It sounds like it might be tarnished! Google reverse oxidation and follow the steps!

Missoma is the worst! I bought a pair of earrings for close to $200 and the blackened my ear lobes. Even worse is their customer service!! They refused to refund or replace and repeatedly asked me to "send photos and videos of the faulty item". TERRIBLE COMPANY
I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I personally have never had a bad experience from Missoma, there customer service has always been exceptional :)

@@BrieanaYoung How do you care for them. Is it safe to put clear nail polish over gold plated jewelry? Got a necklace for Christmas and I’m almost certain it will tarnish quickly. It’s pretty but it’s also not full on gold.
