Almost all operas are tragedies. One that isn't is a fantastic one written by a pure genius, composed when she was 8 to 12 years old. Her name is Alma Deutscher, from Dorking (UK) now living in Vienna. It is her unique version of 'Cinderella' in which she even re-wrote the story to make Cinderella an intelligent composer and not just a pretty girl with small feet. This child, Alma, has already composed many small sonatas, two operas (one short and Cinderella which is 2 and a half hours long) a ballet suit, a full violin concerto, a full piano concerto and is now writing a full symphony and she is still only 14 years old. Some say she is a young Mozart but she says she would rather be known as a young Alma. She also says she believes in melody and that all music should be beautiful.

You don’t call an Opera Aria “operatic”- is just an aria from the Opera Turandot. The expression operatic is more referred to the drama in opera. Another thing, Turandot as most Operas do have some tragedy but is one opera in which the main couple ended up alive and happy In the end.

I think you are referring to Howie Mandel. The guy is an idiot. He claims he discovered Grace Vanderwaal because he gave her the golden buzzer. Grace would still be where she is now even if had never got the buzzer.
