They actually teach them to dance like that by whipping their legs over and over so they lift up to avoid it. Probably another reason the bottom of their legs are taped up, so you dont see all the scars.
that’s different. the training you’re talking about is the Spanish dancing horses and they're trained like how you say. They need to lift their legs higher than natural, and outwards. However the style of riding happening here is dressage, they’re trained completely differently. If you looks at how the horse is trotting you can see they have an extremely collected trot allowing them to “dance” or trot on the spot. after that they’re doing flying lead changes in this video which is just changing their canter lead without going down to trot.
@@evakehler9471 sorry to say this but the spanish dancing horses don't get whipped they get tapped my uncle did the tap to me to see how it hurt literally didn't even hurt (i thought he was hurting my horse that's why he did it to me) and he also kisses at them so they learn that thats the command to dance so he doesn't have to use the whip

and the “tape” are called polo wraps they’re often used for dressage. they aren’t bandages
Skylar Mathison some don’t even whip it’s literally a tap, and they put some sort or clothing in then for it won’t hurt them but they can feel it
