After seeing the first of Buzzy's cherry logs I didn't hold out much hope for this one, but I am surprised to see some very nice lumber in this one. I am sure Buzzy will be happy with the results.
Eddie: "That's the chop saw, or rather Swing Saw,"....and that metal pole structure out back with the hanging seats is a Swing Set, the boys use that for fun, or if they get WOTD: 'Complacent'
Hi Ed. Beautiful cherry lumber. True. Complacent: Yes. It's a universal word for everything in life. Say Hi to Mark. Have a good Thrusday night the 21st. 🥰🙂😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌫🌧
Our Edger set beside the band mill. The man running it was good at his job and a hard worker. I Have seen him put boards through there when the boards were bumping end to ends.
Nothing quite as unique as being perched on your noggin Mr. Horvath. If you shake your head no really fast you could make us all really dizzy. That is a nice cherry this time.
The gum is what stops Cherry from being bought for veneer they check the end of the log. Too much gum veneer buyers don’t want it. Very nice looking lumber in that log. Very fresh no stain
Complacent/complacency-this is yet another situation that has the sword of Damocles hanging over it. While being comfortable and familiar or complacent in a situation is something to strive for and more often as not is welcomed. However this can lead to lapses in attention, concentration, or vigilance, depending on the situation. This in turn can have some very bad consequences. You just have to remain vigilant and aware of the situation and your surroundings at all times.
Eight o’clock in the morning nice cherry boards coming off the mill , complacent think I’ve been that plodding along but I’ve had a wake up call from the accountant with changing tax laws , I’ve had to put all my property into a limited company along with some investments sold the company to Kirstie and kept twenty five percent and became a director , uk government is a much use as a one legged man at an arse kicking competition anyway have a nice day
Be careful with that swing saw. My Dad was using one and the safety chain broke. I cut Him nearly into. missed a main artery by less than a inch. He survived and went back to work. He and I were cat loader operators at the mill. He was cutting 4x4 blocks to stack the lumber on.
I love that guitar Eddie, fine job my friend, im sorry to bother you but I have a question, you are a master craftsman I'm just an amateur, my brother in law yet again has asked me for another pigeons house , it's a think here pigeon training and races, the problem is that I don't have light wood , I just got chestnut and wallnut, as you know this month it's their time off harvesting and triming, my question is ,will it be alright to do them in 0.5 millimeter and will it hold? I wold appreciate greatly you opinion my friend!
You really should have the bus engine tuned up. It’s running heavy on some cylinders, that’s not good for it. I had experience working on Detroit engines since the late 1950’s. Find an older mechanic to do it because it requires a special touch acquired from experience.
At my age I don't have time to be complacent. I appreciate every moment.
Bill
So do I. Thanks Bill
Every interaction (with people, places, or things) is unique. Thanks for the reminder!
Absolutely! Thank you
That log has the nicest figure I have seen lately. Beautiful.

Buzzy should be real happy with that cherry. Thanks for video Eddie. If you guys are cutting Monday I can come up and give ya a hand.

Getting complacent around that equipment can get you seriously injured, or even killed. You and Mark take safety seriously.
Yes we do. Thank you

Oh he was very fortunate. So glad he was. Safety is so important
I saw a leak on your blue fuel tank on video at 1:41 , looked like it was at the bottom of tank.
I appreciate that. I’ll take a look. Thank you
Why didn’t you use the little spacing sticks between the layers in the stack?
Because it will be picked up and they do what they want with it. Thank you
Marks videos are so much better. We just want see the SAW cut the wood.

Sounds like it would be a bit to thin. Most are 3/4”.
