Just to add on this review: The hood up front has lost the Toyota emblem logo in the middle. There should be just above the T-grille. The clearance lights are the standard PHDM lights a.k.a. "tenga lights" because of the protrusions. There are some Exsiors that came with Carina combi/amber clearance lights. These are quite rare and lucky me I have them. At the back, the logos/emblems are standard but the placement of the Corona Exsior emblems have been altered. It should look like; Corona Exsior not Corona Exsior You are mistaken by saying that Coronas don't have 60/40 folding rear seats. These are standard Corona features in the PHDM. PHDM 3S-FE engines have 126HP On the interior, this car got push-button A/C controls because this is an Exsior model. Notice that the A/C thermostat controls also have heater controls, a feature that only Exsior models have. Non-Exsior models have the rotary/knob A/C controllers and no heater. There are no horn switches at the center of the steering wheel in all Coronas especially this one because of the airbag. The little door you opened beside the cigarette lighter/power socket is called an ashtray or maybe a coinbox if the owner does not smoke. The plastic from the glove compartment has deteriorated that's why it's a bit difficult to close. That small hump in the backseat area is a provision for the propeller shaft of models that have AWD options (not available in the Philippines) You will only enjoy the 3S-FE in the lower end section of the RPM. Overall this car is in good shape by the looks of it. It's a pity that the stock magwheels are no longer there. The originals look really nice.

I saw some examples being sold at FB Marketplace, but one of them have been vandalized with the 4-speed AT replaced by an MT. Didn't know it was possible. Since I thought the LS, even the early ones, has always been enginered to be in AT only.
my dad used to have a 91 or 92 corona, i do remember i used to be obsessed with that car. wish ours didnt have so many issues. one time a drunk motorcycle driver crashed into the back of the car cracking the rear window and denting the back

I think most of them were maintenance issues, the battery needed replacing, tires were old, and consumed a lot of gas. I think there were more but I was pretty young so I only remembered what I could understand. when we began having more financial problems my dad parked it at our cousin's house for a couple years and sold it sometime last year

It’s a midsize car for 90s standards. Today, this is closer in size to our compacts like the Corolla or even borderline sub-compact like the Vios/Yaris
There’s not really that much problems with this car and its engine. The 3S-FE had some EFI issues I think before 1996 but have been solved later on. It’s very reliable and just needs the usual regular maintenance. Just expect to pay more for gas compared to a modern engine.
Would you know the market value of this car? Definitely a head turner for a classic car. What is the fuel economy? Was this borrowed? Quite rare to find these
Hmmm I believe you can find some for 100-150K only. This car was borrowed. Fuel economy is around 6-7Km/L if I recall correctly according to the owner.
comparing 90s into modern cars is not justifiable, the technology in both era’s are not the same, but still toyota corona st191 with 3sfe on it can still smoke some modern cars. try to drive purists toyota corona, u might change ur opinion or review about it hehe

My pops has a 97 Corona Exsior, pretty dependable and reliable car. Well it's a Toyota, that's why. But it needs a lot of love and a constant maintenance here and there to keep it forever! The only issue is that the registration is super pricey haha! And now they want to have all cars tested for Car Safety Tests as a requirement of the registration of all cars. Hopefully we old school car owners pass! 😊

You are mistaken by saying that Coronas don't have 60/40 folding rear seats.
