Why shouldn’t we compare veilguard to bg3? They’re the same price, they’re both made by big studios and they both occupy the same genre. We shouldn’t treat bg3 as this mythical game that no one else can replicate. It should be the peak that other games should strive to reach or equal.
It's an RPG and it lets you actually choose, and have a feminine voice with masculine body or have masculine features on a female. Effectively letting play a trans character without grinding everything to a halt, having the characters stare directly into the camera and say they're non binary. A term that doesn't fit the fantasy setting at all. We shouldn't compare this slop to bg3 because then it makes Dragon Age look even worse.
Broadly, sure. But I feel like that's like comparing Mass Effect to Halo. Their both sci-fi/space opera, shooter games right? Sharing a genre just means that there will be some overlap, not that they should replicate each other.
@shawnvaljean9260 One is an action game where you can't make any form of choice that'll effect the story and the other is an RPG all about choices. They both have shooting, but so does every shooter game imaginable. Halo is first person action sci-fi and Mass effect is third person RPG action. There is a pretty huge difference. Dragon Age is a roleplaying fantasy game focused on choices. If it was just comparing one genre sure but Dragon Age Veilguard is uniquely in a bad place for comparison because it's a Rpg fantasy where there's a handful of games marketed to the same level with the same budgets and every single one was better than Veilguard.

Also people saying it's bad because it's woke dont really seem to remember we had scenes in inquisition speaking about krem being trans and whatnot. Overall tho, definetly 7ish out of 10 for me
i just finished weisshaupt, the set piece was amazing for it!! my favourite part so far. the technical polish on the game is amazing, it runs great, there's a lot really good attention to detail and even the really cool "as i was saying" if banter was interrupted feature it's clear that the technical team is more than competant and it breaks my heart that the writing team lags so far behind. i don't really like how much vapid conversation there is (like repeated quest exposition) or the general tone of it all. the pacing is also like whiplash, during quests it's like "holy shit do this NOW" and then you take a break to get a coffee or light candles. 6/10 - the set pieces are big highlights for me
I'm looking forward to more BG3 Console Mod videos from you, but this was an interesting take in the meantime - and you tried to take an objective approach. 🍻 I mean, I guess a lot of us aren't surprised (at all) to hear this, right? I had some decent expectations of this game, but I doubt I'll be buying it at retail price.
I enjoyed the game a lot in the first 10 hours but after that the writing falls apart hard sadly. The combat is fun but it feels like a bad marvel movie, and it makes inquisition look better
@JasonDunna I asked 5 of my friends all of them said it should be 6 - 7, everywhere I look people criticized it. How did those sites rank it? Did they ask? Or bribe?
A great video! A solid watch! I’ve been sticking with BG3, Call of Duty, and Warhammer space marine. Still waiting for something new to capture some excitement from me.
I'm sure it's a fine game if you don't care about the writing or the series, but that's a requirement. I don't know what the people who gave it a perfect score were smoking though.
I complete Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening more than 10 times. Dragon Age 2 around 5-8 times. Dragon Age Inquisition more than 5 times. And Dragon Age Origins is still my favorite game in this series. I will definitely not play The Veilguard mainly because of three reasons: 1. You don’t have full control over your companions. I love strategy games where you can create different team composition (more tanky, more CC, all DPS etc.) and try different builds for them. 2. So far that I have seen dialogues are not appalling to me. I love more rough adult language and also world don’t seems dark survival horror enough. 3. Qunari models look terrible (my favorite models were in Dragon Age 2). Yeah someone could say: Then don’t play with Qunari. But problem is that I will come across with NPSs and this would make me angry 100%. Maybe one day if we will have heavily modified version of game…
Fun action combat coupled with poor writing--sounds like they should have named this "Mass Effect: Andromeda 2". That's why it's so much easier for me to believe reviews such as this one.
Yeah that is pretty much this game, the combat is a blast but the writing is pretty rough. At the serious moments your character can say some silly out of place stuff and everyone just kinda goes with it. So strange
RPGs live or die on the story, and from what I've heard, this one's okay at best. Then again, people were harsh on Inquisition when it came out, but it's pretty well beloved now. Wherever you complete the game, I'd love to hear your overall thoughts of the complete narrative
It feels like people really hate the game saying it's the worst or people saying this is the best game ever. Honestly this game is average, that's it...
Absolutely agree. Ballara is basically Merrill from da2 but sprinkled with Disneyland and rainbows. Lucanis is Anders but a superhero rogue version that thinks of coffee as kisses. Harding remains kinda similar to inquisition but the writing seemed lax for her. Best way i can describe her. Emmrich is basically a necromancer butler and was pretty good character wise but not as impactful as id hoped. Davrin was ok and i did like the griffon twist but again just wasnt all that impactful. Neve was pleasant because i picked shadow dragons as my background so i got some neat background lines etc however when i made her angry it was just "ope love and kisses no worries" when she got back which maybe i had her affinity high enough before that event so she didnt care? idk? But it was off-putting. Taash was made to feel unlikeable from the start attitude wise and never really seems to change just constantly bitter at the world and rude af in the way that crawls up your skin and makes you wanna punch them in the face. Along with a few scenes that were just handled so poorly. They could've been a great character if done correctly unfortunately tho thats not the case. Sorry for the long post but i wanted to share my opinion of the companions. All in all tho my personal rating of this game would be a 6/10 and in no way shape or form are the 10/10 ratings even remotely accurate.
Honestly I think inquisition had the best companions of the franchise Apart from leliana, Morrigan and alistair who from a story perspective are up there with Baldurs gate 3 companions But inquisition had really interesting companions Like a Qunari with personality, a tevinter who hates blood magic, an elf who adds a different perspective to the dalish and demons and the fade, varric is great, Cassandra’s arc is amazing, vivienne makes for a really interesting petty rivalry Blackwall and iron bull’s arcs are so good and even characters like Cullen who aren’t companions are great. Cullen is honestly my favorite character story arc wise and I love that this seemingly random character in origins and 2 comes full circle and changes his views on everything he thought he knew.
@@-Mushroom_Kid- ah well, I still vote Origin.. Sten is a mysterious, complex guy who's hard to get to know. But absolute favorite is the hilarious drunk dwarf. (I know he wasn't so popular - ...)
The probkem with Cullen's character arc is that he was the one character who was retconned between every game. In DAO he could end up as a mage serial killer, DA2 "mages can't be treated like people" and in DAI he's a harlequin hero.
Bioware takes 2 steps forward and 1 step back especially with their last couple releases. Veilguard is definitely not a 10 and ign is dumb for thinking people would buy that score. It's a 7 or 8 for me. The overarching storyline is decent especially for Solavellan players like me. The quips definitely drug it down though. There's a time for those and serious moments aren't it.
You say exactly my thoughts! The quips during the serious moments made me groan on a number of occasions. But yeah ign's review is way too high I think
I believe it is as good as they say as someone who has waited 10 years and a die hard dragon age fan. However there are some moments that are cringe and poorly written but the vast majority of this game was worth the wait in my opinion. I personally love the companions and the story, except for maybe one character that was oddly written. That didn’t ruin the experience for me tho I love the character that I made and will probably replay to make different choices.
Appreciate the review Jay, as like many I’m and old DAO’s player. I’d rate that game in my top 7-8 games of all time, maybe higher. From what you’ve said here, if I ever even play this at all, it will be when I can grab it on a super deep sale, like the sub $10 dollar range.
Yeah it’s sad they won’t return to from with the dark fantasy that was Dragon Age origins, which is my favorite as well. It’s a shame because that game was very well done. This game would be good on a sale, the combat itself is new and I think it’s fun. But the story, dialogue and quips during serious moments really ruin it for me
I don't agree with some of what you brought up personally. I really like the companions in veilguard. And I thought that their stories were great. I enjoyed the art style. I think that there have only been 1 or 2 side quests that I skipped because i was bored. I enjoyed the writing, though I agree that it could be pretty heavy-handed at times. The gameplay has been fun, though definitely nothing mind-blowing. All that being said, I think that anyone rating this a 9 or 10 are just as full of shit as people rating it 5 or lower. I think that a 6 or 7 is perfectly reasonable. It's a good game, though maybe not great. And that's OK.
Reviews are and always have been subjective, which is why I read/watch very few reviews. As for me personally, I recently replayed DA:I to compare it to BG3 and I had much more fun with DA:I. BG3 is a very good rpg, but after a year of massive patches it still has gamebreaking bugs - any other developer couldn't survive that. I won't go through all the issues I have with BG3, because I still really like it - but just wanted to really point out these things are highly subjective, so we need to stop talking in terms of lying when it's a matter of taste.
We're starting to see some of the very same outlets who gave it a 9 or a 10 now writing separate articles criticizing various aspects of the game, which is... interesting.
Yeah the NDA leaked the other day and had a novel worth of stipulations including using the phrase "return to form" as they all did, and not talking about Taash
@@JasonDunna the "leaked" form proved to be a fake, possibly placed to inflate the spirits. I don't like what Bioware has done with the game, I don't intend to get it at full price, but I want to be fair, and not be caught in the "hate bandwagon" and manipulated
Action RPG game. Action game full score 5, RPG game full score 5. I set the total score to 10. Action game score 4. It's great, but I don't think it's the best legendary and innovative action game. RPG game score 1. It's like an RPG game. That's all. You can have an experience that breaks the immersion in the middle of the game and brings you back to reality, and I think that's the most fatal mistake a story writer can make to the audience. So I think it's 5. This article was translated using Google Translate. I don't think it's too wrong.
Hey going into it with those expectations definitely helps! The combat is fun but the writing feels like a bad Marvel movie with all the quipping during serious moments
@@JasonDunna The writing is definitely... not great. I will say that the dialogue and voice acting from my Rook (the english male VA) has been phenomenal, and the dialogue from Varric is also good... so when those two are able to shine it raises the bar a bit... and then you go and talk to a companion and it just completely falls flat. The game really struggles with showing how a companion feels through emotion and situational events, and rather it opts for the companion to just "tell" you, in exhausting detail, how they feel. It's an issue.
Not surprise. It seems anyone that reference Origins (which’s was two games prior) don’t like it 🤷🏾♂️ but like Origins is so outdated from where DA has gone since the second ones just my opinion
Yeah it’s just a clear divide in the fan bases and origins is usually the line lol. But I haven’t been able to put the game down since starting, it’s the only thing that got me off of playing BG3 for a bit (but I want to jump back on for the dark urge mod that just dropped 😭)
The direction shift from this series has been so disappointing. No Grit, bad writing, and the combat change are all lame. How ever this game is not as bad as some people have stated. It's just not the Dragon Age of old. I do like Taash, big arms, good in a fight, they are hot!
Agreed. To go from the peak Dark Fantasy setting in Dragon Age Origins to this is sad, they really captured lightning in a bottle with that game. But as you said this game is also not as bad as some people have said as well! Im on Chapter 9 of 13 and ill probably beat it this week to give my full thoughts, I did hear the ending is solid
Yeah the game looks awful. From the characters, to the game play to the story, this doesn't even look like a DA game. Im not even a big fan of the series but this looks like a parody game. Its like Bioware saw how much of a trainwreck ME: Andromeda was and learned nothing from that and DOUBLED DOWN lol. What I've seen there is no player agency, the writing is horrid, the story is mostly filler and the tone is like that of a Tumblr Pixar movie. This looks like it was made for people who dont play video games. Lol at people saying this is better than BG3 or TW3.
Yeah thats how I feel. The combat is fun and I like the builds/skill tree but thats really where my enjoyment in the game is. The writing feels like a bad Marvel movie, I don't know how some of the dialogue during super serious moments is so childish, its crazy
@JasonDunna it's really weird, but you can tell nxt to no one from BWs heyday is still around bc the writing in this game wouldn't make it off the cutting room floor if they were. If nothing else, it's the story and especially the writing that just boggles my mind. It's embarrassing and unacceptable after other recent RPGs have raised the bar so much.
The story is one of the best if not the best, I get other critiques even if I don’t agree but this story genuinely is the best thing about the game. So many answers that filled previous questions and plot holes, any true dragon age fan will love the story
Thematically, the game doesn't feel like a Dragon Age game. Also, the RPG elements are very weak, it feels inadequate in most aspects after playing BG3, but other than that, it's a 7/10 for me.
@JasonDunna It's a shame, cause I wanted it to get good, same with the other DA/ME fans. How could they go so far to make something inclusive and fumble the bag so badly that not even the people they're trying to include won't even look at it. BG3 does that very thing infinitely better.
The game isn't bad as some say, it's not great but it's a good solid Action-Adventure RPG game, I really enjoy the game. Many people critize the graphics of DA:V, but I think that many people know the DA games but not the comics, I suspect that the devs based themselves on the comics, hence the cartoon-like graphics and the comic-like appearance of the characters, there are also NPC's in DA:V that only exist in the comics but not in the previous games.
I just bought this and really enjoy it. The combat is a lot of fun and I do like the companions, so far. The character creation is much better than people said in the first reviews I saw on YT.
I like the combat the most, its pretty fun. The early game companions seem to be the best, and the character creator is pretty in depth BUT I can't get my character to look good during dialogue, theyre quite ugly sadly hahaha. but the hair physics are solid
@@JasonDunna I'm still at the early game stages so maybe I'll feel differently later on. I love the way my character looks though, but you may need to play around with the sliders a bit.
DAV will sell well initially. Its the long term decline that happens after people have played and word of mouth happens. after that i fully expect a massive decline. Regardless of the EA/bioware damage control. The game is solid story and gameplay wise. But the political bs and DEI/pronoun and none binary stuff is extremely off putting in a medieval fantasy game. Its borderline preachy and in your face as well. I still somewhat enjoy it nonetheless. I would give the game a decent 6/10. But hey thats just me being rational. 🤷♂️ I also am holding on cause i loved DAI so much and this game is a direct sequel to that game, giving us a conclusion to the solas story and finally lets me romance Lace Harding. Something we were not able to do in inquisition.. But as i said before my thoughts on the game about all the controversial stuff still stands. As a sequel to inquisition it is fine. But as a "dragon age" game i can understand why people do not enjoy it.
Great take, thank you for the rational opinion. I enjoyed inquisition as well and there are pieces to this game I like but some of the bad moments just weigh it down heavily. It feels like it’s missing something to make it a real dragon age game
I don’t see it selling any better than it has so far. It still hasn’t crossed 100k players on steam, which is still an embarrassing statistic for a AAA fantasy rpg, doubly so for one from a recognized franchise.
I've been an avid RPG gamer since the late 1970's. I've played pretty much EVERY Western RPG of note since then, including ALL of Bioware's titles. I'm about 30 hours in to Veilguard. I'd give it a 8.5/10. It is quite a masterpiece like BG3 is. The voice acting, art direction, music score, story, character progression, and world building are ALL top notch. I think MOST of the negative consumer sentiment is due to nonsense political ideology. There is a group of bitter angry idealogues who don't want ANY diversity in a game. I'll never understand these people, and why they try to absolutely destroy the reputation of a game they don't even want to play. I think Valve should just use AI to remove all this negative commentary that has nothing to do with the actual game. Maybe I'm just old, but I don't think many of us who grew up in a different era would even dream of engaging in this type of behavior. If you don't like something, just ignore it. There is no reason to try and destroy the enjoyment of others. What kind of person does that?
Great level headed thoughts on it, I agree. There is no need for the negativity that this game has been getting! I also think that a lot of the reviews overhyped the game, saying Bioware is back to what they were when they made Dragon Age Origins, which definitely leads people to be let down. My biggest issue is some of the dialogue that feels a bit corny, almost too quippy like a Marvel movie when the tone feels like it should be more dark and serious. I really enjoy the combat however, they did a great job with it
BG3 is as woke as you can get and people still love it. RDR2 and Cyberpunk has tons of diversify and inclusivity, and they still recieved tons of praise. It has nothing to do with "politics", this game just isn't good. Even many liberal reviewers are giving it bad scores. If a game is good, most people will like it no matter how "diverse" it is. This issue with this game is far larger. The game could've featured nothing but straight white people, and it would still be awful. Idk how you can play BG3 and this and put them in the same category. This game is Starfield bad. I know everyone has their own opinion, and this is just mine, but I don't get it. Everyone calls everything a "masterpiece" these days. I don't get what there is to like about this game. It's like Inquisition but worse in every way... You don't role play in this game. You have to be nice to everyone and you have no agency the game looks ugly af, the story goes nowhere, the characters seems like parodies of characters from better games, and combat is the definition of one note that has nothing on FF XVI or DD2.
@@Burberrydalive The game is fine, and the internet has a way different opinion. Most people critizing the game are doing it over wokeness and its not origins. Let me ask have you played the game?
@CyrusIsnt Again, Baldur's Gate 3 is woke...it has trans, gays, black people, cross dressers, a female drawf with a beard, tons of strong female characters, etc. Yet it is beloved almost unanimously. Cyberpunk...super woke, yet very beloved. Why? Because theyre genre-defining games. This is a tired strawman to defend bad games. Pls don't use that as an excuse. People dont like it bc it sucks. You may think it's fine, but it's clearly not. I mean some people think Assassins Creed or Madden are fine...but they're not, some people just have lower standards. Which is fine, but comparing i mid at best games to classics unironically, is bad for the medium. It gives the impression games like this should be emulated...they shouldn't. When you actually read the negative discourse around the games it's because of the aspects I pointed out. Everything the game tries to do is done better anywhere else. People need to understand objectivity. Just bc you like a game doesn't =/= good. I like Vampyr. I'm not going to pretend it's a "masterpiece" just bc I personally like it.
Why can't we compare Dragon Age to Bg3 exactly? Took fairly the same out of time to develop if I'm not wrong. Both were Fantasy settings much as DAV doesn't feel like it thanks to all the modern slang forcibly inserted and ugly characters that don't suit the environments. Bg3 let's you make actual choices. DAV let's you be direct at most. Both were proudly rpg games, but only one actually lives up to that. Average combat doesn't make that better, especially when it looks like a mobile game UI. It's a completely average game, 5/10 at most. That's not bad, but what fans were expecting and what DRAGON AGE should be as a legendary rpg title it's nothing but a failure.
@JasonDunna Let people be upset but correct them on why you compare them. If can't compare bg3 to dragon's age veilguard then maybe shouldn't compare it to other dragon age games, it's not a positive comparison regardless if ask me. Sure as hell ain't a " Return to form " but not a bad game. It's a solid rpg action game, but an atrocious dragon age/true rpg game
Thats Kinda where I am at, at first I said it was around an 8, I like the new ideas in the combat, but some of the writing feels a bit weird and out of place for what is happening in the game
@JasonDunna a lot of compaion dialogue feels outlined but not written if that makes sense. I do like the varric vs solas ideaology taking place within rook. While they both guide and offer advice. If we a talking plot they did a great job. The faction building though i dont like 😮💨
I only saw this video because I had just subscribed to see more BG3 content. I promptly unsubscribed after seeing this one. Veilguard isn't for everyone (no game really is), and I have noticed that those that really liked Origins tend not to be fans. That is fine, we all have our preferences and I appreciate hearing content creators' thoughts on what is and isn't working for them. That doesn't mean those who like it, or don't share your opinion, are lying. It is a bad look to claim other outlets were being untruthful.

it's clear that the technical team is more than competant and it breaks my heart that the writing team lags so far behind. i don't really like how much vapid conversation there is (like repeated quest exposition) or the general tone of it all. the pacing is also like whiplash, during quests it's like "holy shit do this NOW" and then you take a break to get a coffee or light candles.
6/10 - the set pieces are big highlights for me
I'm looking forward to more BG3 Console Mod videos from you, but this was an interesting take in the meantime - and you tried to take an objective approach. 🍻
I mean, I guess a lot of us aren't surprised (at all) to hear this, right? I had some decent expectations of this game, but I doubt I'll be buying it at retail price.
I enjoyed the game a lot in the first 10 hours but after that the writing falls apart hard sadly. The combat is fun but it feels like a bad marvel movie, and it makes inquisition look better
Wait, it got 10? And Black Myth got 8? Seriously?
A lot of outlets gave it 9/10. Ign gave it a 9 and yeah Wukong got snubbed for sure
@JasonDunna I asked 5 of my friends all of them said it should be 6 - 7, everywhere I look people criticized it. How did those sites rank it? Did they ask? Or bribe?
I played both. I'd rate Dragon Age higher than Black Myth. They are both great games, but I anticipate they appeal to slightly different RPG players.
Not surprising. Some of these outlets also rated Space Marine 2 lower than Gollum
@@LyonsFortuna a lot of sites were giving 9/10 reviews oddly enough
A great video! A solid watch! I’ve been sticking with BG3, Call of Duty, and Warhammer space marine. Still waiting for something new to capture some excitement from me.
I’ve been playing Black Ops 6 as well! I’m almost done of Space Marine 2 that game is straight up a ton of fun
Who's hiding behind the veil?
Is it a sweet little baby?
Hahaha I guess we will find out soon
I'm sure it's a fine game if you don't care about the writing or the series, but that's a requirement.
I don't know what the people who gave it a perfect score were smoking though.
I know right? The combat is good but the writing is abysmal
I complete Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening more than 10 times. Dragon Age 2 around 5-8 times. Dragon Age Inquisition more than 5 times. And Dragon Age Origins is still my favorite game in this series. I will definitely not play The Veilguard mainly because of three reasons:
Exactly!!
Good video!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Those inflated positive reviews are just there to justify the game's undeserved nominations for the Game Awards.
There is no world where this game deserve to be nominated for game of the year, but sadly it may
@@JasonDunna why? because you dont like it?
Honestly I think inquisition had the best companions of the franchise
Apart from leliana, Morrigan and alistair who from a story perspective are up there with Baldurs gate 3 companions
But inquisition had really interesting companions
Like a Qunari with personality, a tevinter who hates blood magic, an elf who adds a different perspective to the dalish and demons and the fade, varric is great, Cassandra’s arc is amazing, vivienne makes for a really interesting petty rivalry
Blackwall and iron bull’s arcs are so good and even characters like Cullen who aren’t companions are great.
Cullen is honestly my favorite character story arc wise and I love that this seemingly random character in origins and 2 comes full circle and changes his views on everything he thought he knew.
Agreed I actually really liked the Inquisition companions and they had solid banter in the game. Great points on that
@@-Mushroom_Kid- ah well, I still vote Origin..
That didn’t ruin the experience for me tho I love the character that I made and will probably replay to make different choices.
its just sad how they destroy dragon age 😢
At least you are honest and don't try to be in the hate bandwagon for likes.
I try to keep it balanced, there’s some good aspects to the game but I was really expecting more from the story and writing
Yeah the NDA leaked the other day and had a novel worth of stipulations including using the phrase "return to form" as they all did, and not talking about Taash
iiiiinteresting. I’ll do some digging and see what I can find
@@JasonDunna the "leaked" form proved to be a fake, possibly placed to inflate the spirits.
I don't like what Bioware has done with the game, I don't intend to get it at full price, but I want to be fair, and not be caught in the "hate bandwagon" and manipulated
Makes me glad they didnt msake BG3
Yuuupp. Larian the best
Every other game is more memorable than this game. I’ll stick with Baldur’s Gate 3
Baldur’s gate 3 is the way to go
Action RPG game.
There needs to be an investigation as to why Black Myth was removed from the GOTY running! Black Myth is GOTY!
I was expecting it to be about a 6 or 7 out of 10, and it has surprised me quite a bit so far! A solid 8 for me about twenty hours in.
@@Syntarithe story writing is good and the plot.
The dialouge options feel lacking. And some of the lines feel rough
@@JasonDunna some of the dialogue was good. Solas was definitely a standout performance for me and I have loved every interaction with him personally
I like daverin lucanis and neve
Those are my favorites as well, Emmerich is pretty funny as well. Due to Matt Mercer voicing his skeleton
I like it so far
I’m glad you’re finding enjoyment in it, the story will start to be a bit weird later on
Not surprise. It seems anyone that reference Origins (which’s was two games prior) don’t like it 🤷🏾♂️ but like Origins is so outdated from where DA has gone since the second ones just my opinion
Yeah Origins is an old game but I think there’s a lot of nostalgia around what it was that impacts what this could be
Yeah it’s just a clear divide in the fan bases and origins is usually the line lol. But I haven’t been able to put the game down since starting, it’s the only thing that got me off of playing BG3 for a bit (but I want to jump back on for the dark urge mod that just dropped 😭)
I’m almost done of the game, it’s not bad by any means but I just expected more I guess
The new mass effect is already doomed to fail. DoA
@t.s.1156 lol I hope EA payed you well for your shill comment. Even fans of the game admit the story is dreck.
Thematically, the game doesn't feel like a Dragon Age game. Also, the RPG elements are very weak, it feels inadequate in most aspects after playing BG3, but other than that, it's a 7/10 for me.
Grab the pitch forks raaawwwwhhhhhhh
Hahahahaha
It's more like a 5. That's being nice.
Yeah definitely not a 9
I give It a 3 just for existing. I'm not going to get into details, but if you don't see it, then you're the audience.
There are some things that are way too forced and don’t feel like they were thought out well
Well summarized, sir. I concur 100 percent.
It is definitely not a 10, I'd give it a generous 6.5 to a 7/10. Could've definitely done with more time in the oven.
Yeah thats where I am at, its crazy because this game spent a lot of time in the oven already, but the writing just feels cringe
@JasonDunna It's a shame, cause I wanted it to get good, same with the other DA/ME fans. How could they go so far to make something inclusive and fumble the bag so badly that not even the people they're trying to include won't even look at it. BG3 does that very thing infinitely better.
Hopefully it goes on sale for Black Friday so I can buy it
That would be nice, a holiday sale is inevitable if theres not one on Black Friday
Just beaten the game after 45hrs, it's weaker than Inquisition and I'll give it a 7. (DA:I being an 8)
I like your review, thats roughly where I am at
The game isn't bad as some say, it's not great but it's a good solid Action-Adventure RPG game, I really enjoy the game.
Its a good 6 out of 10, writing needs to be better and some of the quest shouldnt be at chapter 10+
I also am holding on cause i loved DAI so much and this game is a direct sequel to that game, giving us a conclusion to the solas story and finally lets me romance Lace Harding.
@@stephengrant4841 fair. I definitely dont disagree.👍
Bro. Emmerichs companion quest was so BORING
i wonder what is reason for some people being asian or black, its not like there is equivalent of china or africa in thedas, so what is going on ?
The game is fun as a mindless random fantasy game but the writing is abysmal and that makes it a terrible Dragon Age game
I really enjoy the combat however, they did a great job with it
Let the painter paint thats what i say.
If i dont like the the picture that fine not everything is ment for me, i can play something else
When I compared them previously people were upset and said it’s not a valid comparison but I agree with your points
No, it is not.
Exactly
I’ll give it a 8/10. Just not the same dark fantasy like before but everything’s better imo, oh except the cringe dialogues sometimes
Yeah the dialogue is too cringe for me at times hahaha. The gameplay and combat is fun at least
I can’t get over the art style, it makes everything look awful.
Its a 6-8
Thats Kinda where I am at, at first I said it was around an 8, I like the new ideas in the combat, but some of the writing feels a bit weird and out of place for what is happening in the game
@JasonDunna a lot of compaion dialogue feels outlined but not written if that makes sense.
I do like the varric vs solas ideaology taking place within rook. While they both guide and offer advice.
If we a talking plot they did a great job. The faction building though i dont like 😮💨
no, its not
I only saw this video because I had just subscribed to see more BG3 content.
Hey I’m sorry you didn’t like this. I made a video praising the game and got threatened and lost 100+ subs. Can’t please everyone. Just wanted to say that the game isn’t a 9/10 like it’s hyped up to be, but I also said it’s not a bad game.
That game is a pos. Hideous! Cringy af.
