I think much of fasting and prayer is us letting go of ourselves and fully depending on God and seeking Him first, through obedience. If we fall to our knees and pray, together with cleansing our bodies from refined sugars and such, God will clear our mind and thoughts and we will be ready to hear Him speak to us through His Word and listen to His guidance.

I believe the Daniel doesn't give us the exact formula for this fast, but rather one of the ways to approach it. What do you like to do, if you do Daniel's fast?
Tomas Hrubovcak well since I have a sugar habit I get rid of sugar cause sugar is my weakness and you have to remember you're denying your flesh! Sweets are not allowed in the fasting! Daniel refrained from fasting while on it cause it's a distraction! And figure out what God wants you to fi during your fasting not how Brian does be genuine in your fasting! It's all about seeking the lord for wisdom :)

Indulge your self in worship music to help you get through when temptation comes! Before U go shopping make sure you clear out your fridge though lol so u won't mix your fasting food with regular food
I'm not an expert or experienced in this area, but I also go to vocational college and did a normal fast for a day and nobody recognized anything. Except God. Our times of fasting are known before heaven. They are revealed before God, even if nobody else recognizes it.
I did the daniel fast for 4 days, I noticed God dealing with my heart, in the hours I spent with him, then day 3 I got a ton of energy and was distracted by busy work around my house. I feel like I kind of failed. I just havent felt that energy in a long time, but I felt obsessed with cleaning. Do you have any advice? I feel like a little kid spiritually!
I just have the impression, that God sees your heart. He's not mad on you because you cleaned the house. He's proud of you and he sees your heart. He loves you. ❤
