    Have watched a lot of videos on this monitor and this is by far the best one. Clearly describes how it works and the options for hook-up. Well done and thank you!

    Brilliant description. I've currently got a dual screen set-up comprising 2 LG 43" monitors side by side allowing me to have lots of pages open at once for trading. I also need a taller screen for viewing an entire web page at once. I can see the Dualup sitting in the middle of the other two for this purpose. The advantage here for me at my age (66) is that I can enlarge webpages so that I can read text sitting back 4-5' from the screen w/o using reading glasses. This is highly liberating. It's probably equivalent to a 20 year old with perfect vision looking at a single ultrawide screen from 2'. Yes it's excessive and I had to wait till I retired to afford this. But the improved information access in this activity justifies it imo.

    I'm in my 50th video about this monitor. That's the best one. Simple and direct. Congratulations, it's a masterclass. The first 30" can hook up a whale.

    Lowkey I'd happily add this as a secondary monitor. Turning one curve monitor+ this into essentially a 3 monitor setup (although technically still would be 2 monitors)

    By far THE best review of the DualUp I have seen. Excellent description of the PBP and KVM features and how these features are set up. Your review sealed the deal and I am getting it. Just hope there are no Linux driver issues. Thanks!

    How did you rotate the display? I can't seem to get the option on my M1-13in settings , is it with USB-C or HDMI❓
    "rotate display" only pops up on my M1-13in when I disconnect the Dualup in the "Hold Option+system settings>Hold Option+display" ❗Doesn't give me the option when I connect with USB-C... 🤷‍♂

    My main driver for a while now. Although it's often shown as being able to show two screens one above the other, it's true capability is in working with text documents. If you work with text a lot, I can't recommend it enough. You'll wonder why we ever worked with letter-boxed shape screens.

  • @Underhills
    @Underhills 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Wow, stellar production and informative content. You touched on all the vital stuff. Thanks for sharing. I was thinking Slack + my daily news portal side-by-side (not stacked), but then again I could also just tilt a 27" 16:9 to portrait and get even more vertical screen estate than with the LG monitor. I would just have to switch between Slack and news cause it's narrower, no big deal really. I also do some UI design and I can picture the LG could work for vertical orientated stuff like mobile UI and websites. I'm in limbo on this, dunno if it really out-competes a traditional setup with 32" 16:9 as main + 27" 16:9 in portrait as secondary monitor. The PIP feature with two different sources is a plus, I don't get to do that with my current setup.

    • @techbymidas
      @techbymidas  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you’ll just have to weigh the pros against the cons of tilting a regular monitor or just getting the Dualup with some additional features. Either way, I don’t think you’ll go wrong unless you’re currently missing some features from your current setup that the Dualup has, then it’s a no brainer.

    it would be cool if they made it able to bend just a tiny bit at the center because most stacked setups have the top monitor tilted down towards the user a little bit.

    Hi! I loved your video!
    Did the DualUp cause fatigue in the neck (given one would now have to tilt the head upwards and downwards frequently given the height of the monitor)?
    Which is more ergonomic (and comfortable) for viewing between an Ultrawide and the Dualup?
    Thanks mate!

    I love the monitor but I’m having an issue with determining how to lower it closer to my desktop and how to control the settings since there’s no buttons on the screen. The manual is useless and it seems like LG support isn’t sure about how this thing works.

    Hi! Great review! 👏
    I use default scaling on my macbook 16 inch M1 to get a perfect trade-off between size text and working space on the built-in monitor.
    Could you compare the text size of that monitor's native resolution (without scaling) and the text size on macbook built-in monitor (default scaling)? Is there a difference?🤔
    Thanks in advance!
