    where exactly did you put the xpipe more towards the rear or dead center or by the manifold and also what other mods did you do to achieve that sound

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      the closest to engine the better, so its behind the manifold.. and no other mods, only this.

    What diameter comes off Cats, and in to the Mufflers. Looking to do same thing as you did here.

      mmm i am sorry mate, it's been so many years, i dont really remember :-/ i also dont have the car for few years now. but its easy enough to measure, if you can get under the car

    750Li sound same with same exhaust setup?

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you are talking about E65 750i, yea, that would be possible, however it has only one rear silencer, so i dont know if it will sound the same, but should be close :-)

  • @johns818
    @johns818 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    07 550i owner here.. want to step up my exhaust game and I'm thinking about copying your set up.. couple questions: 1. does it drone and if so at what RPMs? 2. what size piping are you using and what are the inlet and outlet sizes of your x pipe? 3. did you lose power down low and gain up top? thank you..

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hey john! :-)
      coool cool.. 1. there is absolutely no drone at any revs, I would say its still too quiet inside. I am thinking about some flap work :-D when I want to be loud and enjoy the noise I open them and when I am going longer than 10 km I will close them :-)
      2. sizing is exactly the same as stock pipes, dont remember the diameter, but we kept it the same because of the flow
      3. I dont think I lost or gained any power, didnt noticed the difference at all. maybe it would be visible on dyno, but I dont feel it that much.

    • @johns818
      @johns818 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheFuxxo thank you for the prompt response.. I think placing the x pipe immediately behind the exhaust manifolds is key.. btw you car sound perfect!!

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, that really is the key, it should be closest to manifold as possible. and thanks :-D it does sound really mean when you are around, and I jump on the gas ;-) yet its still very stock if you want and drive below like 3000rpm..

    What's the X pipe and straight pipe dimensions pls

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      sorry, this was 7 years ago or so, i really dont remember :-/ but i believe they are same size as stock pipes, so they can fit the flow easily. that means you just need to measure your exhaust pipe

  • @soysauce3660
    @soysauce3660 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Could you possibly tell me where to get this x pipe?

    I'm thinking about doing this to my M6 along with starughtvpuoes but don't know if I want it that loud. I do want a more aggressive sound though. have you changed since this video or is it still the same? Thanks

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! vide is the same for sure, didnt change anything. however i did change the exhaust a little bit after this, i added valves before the rear mufflers, because with the above setup it wasnt too loud. from outside it is a bit louder, but inside only very slight improvement on sound, you hear better the engine note. i recommend the bypass valves tho, you can have it as you want, when you want it.

    Do these have secondary cats and if so did you remove them?

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      no, they only have primary cats (in europe at least), and they are in place still. just removed the resonators, and replaced those with xpipe

    Sehr guter Racing - Sound,
    passt besser.
    Wo bekommt man sowas her?
    wieviel kostet das alles?
    Bekommt man damit TÜV?

      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      danke :-D
      dont speak german tho, so in english, it was around 300€ all in, in custom car shop. however, no TUV. it would be problem in germany for sure, not in slovakia tho :-D

    Hi,
    Could you explain me why you chose to only remove resonators and not the mufflers? What difference does that make?

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, because removing the mufflers I would have to put in some racing ones, and it would be a lot louder and have possible drone in low range. and also, I wanted to add the xpipe, which you cant do at the end of the exhaust.. it has to be somewhere in the middle..;-)

    Thefuxxo, which model are the rims?

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      those are ZEDD Performance SLT, but i dont think you can buy them anymore, the company looks like it doesnt make wheels..

    Where did you buy your X-pipe from?

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matthew PHT well, I dont exactly know, my buddy from autopia ordered it from germany, from some company, together with the rest of the piping.. it was like 130€ together all the material.. but the xpipe was most expensive bit for 60 or 70€ only for that piece..

    • @matthewpht1062

      TheFuxxo
      Do you have any other videos of the 6 after the car is warmed up? Overall, its sounds good man. How does it sound when its all warmed up and on the road?

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Matthew PHT hey, sure, check out the other video:
      th-cam.com/video/lPpWE2o4BFc/w-d-xo.html
      there is the exhaust warm, and on the road, flyby ;-)
      but it could be more loud though, I mean from outside its awesome, but inside the car you barely hear it, with closed windows it sounds almost like stock.. :-)

    Do u have to take the mufflers out too?

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      nope, that's what the bypass valves are for.. you can open those and effectively cut off the valves to have straight pipe, and if closed, it sounds almost like stock

  • @alansrour1
    @alansrour1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It sounds cool in this video because the mufflers are still cold and did not warm up. It sounds nothing like that after 1 minute when the mufflers heat up. Trust me, I did the same thing and ended up going with a real cutback system.

    • @TheFuxxoWorksGarage
      @TheFuxxoWorksGarage  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      AS* well open my second video ;-) there is warmed up engine and exhaust, and it sounds like this..
      on the other hand, it really is not as loud as I expected, and in the future I might change the rear mufflers to some better flowing ones... but I am using this daily, and now its like stock and over 3000rpm it has a great sound..
      I was looking at your video btw :-D great! how is it in the interior? because I travel a lot, so I dont want any drone or loud sound inside.. because now with closed windows I cant hear almost nothing..

      +GZUZ LX I wish :-D I would love more that american V8 rumble though.. this season I want to install the bypass valves before rear silencers, so when I open them, it would be straight through terror noise :-D
