Adventure to Wrights Lake and Enchanted Pools | El Dorado National Forest

- We took the family around Wrights Lake before hiking out to Enchanted Pools in El Dorado National Forest. Usually, you can see the Sierra Nevadas above the lake, but it was unusually overcast with low-hanging clouds. After exploring the lakeshore, we crossed creeks, avoided cliffs, and navigated trails until we reached Enchanted Pools. It did not disappoint!
⚠️ Once clearing the first forest, the trail becomes very obscure, so it's important to have a map and GPS to navigate the terrain ✅

Tried to go here once and got lost 😣 The trail is a bit hard to follow. Never made it though.
Same! But this time we made sure we were using a GPS to stay on-trail. It gets really confusing once you emerge from the forest into vast slabs of granite!
