You can appreciate it and enjoy it no matter what race you are. The problem is when some races steal it and make money off of it and don't acknowledge where it came from.

This version has the gospel component and soul removed and it’s not because of the colors of the ppl singing it -it sounds like a school choir at a competition or recital. Their harmony is fine but I didn’t feel anything or hear dynamics -it was boring and sung calculated to me. No dis-respect Respect to these very lovely singers -they did well! This song really ministers to me. My mother had a lot of mental health issues. Always treating herself lowly and w disregard as she had been abused all of her life. When she came to Christ, her new identity was still being worked out... she died a few years ago and I always see her in the spirit, wearing a crown in all her majesty that the LORD bestowed upon her as she entered the celestial courts.

Now, with that said, I LOVE to sing, but cannot hold a note to save my life (my dogs used to howl over my singing to the point where they were louder than me and they would drown me out).
