Lake District Short Break. NT. Low Wray Campsite. September 2021

After a long weekend in Inverness then a few days on Skye, Anne and I headed back down, to meet up with a couple of friends down in the Lake District, for a few days camping near Wray Castle Ambleside.

Thanks for the video. I’m not sure your lovely partner / wife was quite so sure about the chicken tikka 😂 . It’s a nice walk to the castle, you can also continue and walk over the fell ( Latterbarrow) to hawks head. It’s breathtaking up there. I’m off next Monday - can’t wait. Enjoy Mate. Was thinking to book a spot at low Wray. Do
You get allocated a spot to pitch your tent ? Or do you just show up and decide? I have a small two person tent and wanted to go
Somewhere I could pitch close to the water as in Be able To See the water From the tent

Hi Erin glad you liked the video. At Low Wray you are allocated a pitch when you book. If Lakeside pitches are available you can specify your choice.
