They ever tear a sidewall for you? I had them on my old LJ and never had an issue. But people say the sidewalls are week.
@@tristansundquist1834 never once had an issue off-road. just really loud on the road and they wear pretty quick.
@@scotturich Yes. Probably 30,000 miles at most. I’ve got KO2s now. Never had a problem with them. They are a little better for the snow as opposed to the patty’s.
Done a lot of rock crawling and haven’t had the sidewall issue. I did read about that issue (one of the reasons I added a full-size spare), but I understand the newer versions (this set is pretty new) solved the sidewall issue. Would agree that these Patagonias are not the best on-road, but they have been great off-road. K02s are also great, of course.
That was great. That is pretty much the exact way I would want to build a Jeep if I owned one. Not to much. Just right. Very nice Gentlemen. Very nice.
Hoo rah !
WAY TO GO 2-DOOR JEEP!!!
Why did he manually disconnect his sway bar links when he could have done it electronically with a push of a button ( rubicon model ) ?
Great video btw 🤙
You get more flex if you completely disconnect it. Also the system sometimes fails.
@@andreipretorius92 roger that 👌
@@andreipretorius92 - exactly.
As said, the electronic disconnect does not allow enough flex for their set up. It’s fine for stock but once you get 3” plus lift you are far better off to manually disconnect for maximum flex.
I like the 37 inch tires on this jeep. How much lift is on this jeep?
3.5”
Well done. The father looks just like the son
I wish I could bring my XJ on 37s through there but I'm all the way on virginia 😅
Why the manual sway bar disconnect if it is truly a Rubicon ?
That's a Jeep!
impressionnant!
What about the logs obstacle? It seems that the logs are only occasionally shown when demonstrating the course.
That's part of the 'easy' course in Andre's Pit for crossovers. This is the harder Fish Pond course...
@@AndrewAMartin Thanks!
After this video Jeep 2 door sales skyrocket !
honestly jeeps on 37s are pretty capable ....
What car is the “side by side” that the gentleman mentioned?
It was a Polaris RZR Pro XP. An amazing machine!
@@anthonymrskipt9252 thank you very much sir
The rear diff cover looks like it’s missing the set screw for the fill hole 🕳
Thanks for the tip. I will have to check that.
Could you take a Rivian R1S or R1T through the tumbleweed course? Maybe even the Hummer EV too, that would be really interesting content.
Lol that heavy ass Hummer? It'd just sink in the mud
Not saying I don't want see it happen tho
@@shitloveaduck Hahaha, unfortunately I don't live in the US or own a Rivian but if I did I would for sure love to take it down that course. Have you seen the SEMA Rivian R1T and R1S builds? They look pretty good with the mud terrains and rock sliders, I believe they would make it through a muddy course like that for sure. The approach and departure angles are good on both but the breakover is better on the R1S since it has a shorter wheelbase. Either way I think it could still make it with minimal/no trail damage, it will just get very very muddy though.
I’m sure someone will do it. They’re pacing theirselves so the tumbleweed course stays interesting. Saw a whole group in Moab. They have 10” air suspension lifts they’ll be fine. Only problem is they need new tires and stock in mud is a no go
@@shitloveaduck - you are definitely correct that the bumper hit hard initially. If you look closely, there was a rock (maybe a couple of rocks) that we dug up. That transition is fairly abrupt and I can see why lots of vehicles with longer wheelbases get stopped. No trail damage this time. If you run the course, you are required to sign a full waiver and have to cover any damage to your own rig - as you would on any trail. Seemed well worth it for the experience to me.
@@shitloveaduck - a modern well-optioned Bronco that would actually have a pretty good shot at making it, all kidding aside. I think it is the guy’s daily driver, so he may be less willing to run the risk of trail damage. I really does look much tougher in person. I’m really looking forward to that video to see how he did!
