Vortex is definitely not something you want to get at msrp. You can find both new for like half of what they retail for. Buying used is the way to do it though due to their warranty policy. PST gen 2s can be found all day for 4-500 and often times with a decent mount. Razor Gen 2Es for 9-1200, with the non Es for even less. That being said, the stiff throw on both was a non starter. I like the Credo HX SFP 1-6 22bdc, Delta stryker HD 1-6, and the Kahles K16I. I'd wager the new PLXC Nova will be the go-to close range LPVO to get as it's even lighter and shorter than the competition. I wouldn't choose any of those if I was shooting far enough to where I needed to hold/dial tho.
@@Truthserum1776 You can find the 1-10s for 1600 +/- 100 used. But you at that point, I'd go for broke and get a March FX 1.5-15x as you are getting even more magnification that people are striving for, for that 10x as we all know, the last 10-20% of the magnification is the worst in terms of eyebox, clarity, etc. with an even worse exit pupil. I find the 1.5x pretty doable, especially if you are coming from a mini acog or some other 1.5x-3x prism. The DFP design gives you that PST reticle at 1.5x and the Gen 3 at 9-15x. Of course that's even more expensive as those rarely pop up used (for good reason).
I drop the pst on the red dot dial it broke the switch so the red dot didn't work anymore and win I drop it it broke the cross hair in the scope now I have the hd I drop tested it several times it so far it has held zero and nothing has broken on it
