- Video quality is poor, apologies in advance. Highlights from my solo October 2023 ride on the Smokey Mountain 500, starting at Two Wheels of Suches and running CCW back to Two Wheels of Suches. I made the ride on a BMW R1250GS Adventure. I wild camped twice and stayed one night at the Ironhorse MC Resort and one night at Smitty's Motorcycle Campground.
Good edit, care to share what kind of jack you had? Thats the first time I've seen that move. You wrecked twice, but you wreck safe, great job.
@@rivertownrider7126 thank you, looked handy but I really couldn't see it.
Loved your Smokey Mountain adventure, your BMW, your water cross, and the motorcycle lift jack. Would you please let us know where you got this jack? Thank
Looking forward to see more of your adventures.

Congrats! Any chance you have the link to your map/route you can post?
@@rivertownrider7126 Cool! Thx for the tip.
Super cool ride!
Nice job crossing the Tallulah crossing, but you went the wrong way on the way out! 🙂 That Witt Rd crossing looking touch & go. I always skip that part on my GSA because I hate that slab of slippery rock.
Old Bucktown with lots of leaves hiding all the embedded rocks increases the difficulty significantly, and I think that is the most challenging part of the Sm500. Nicely done.
You might want to play with your camera setting because it seems there is a lot of over-exposure.
Seemed like you were trying to get a bit romantic at the end there with the music. 🤣
Great vid, excellent editing! Good job!
Nice video. That's how one recharges their inner battery. What caused the second spill?
nice video! thanks for sharing.. what lifting / winch system are you using?
Nice video, how was it on a big bike? seems like most the videos I have seen on it was dual sports. I was thinking about doing it on a Africa Twin
I did the section from two wheels to Smittys clockwise on one of the worst rainy and wet days. I did it on a Norden 901 and my trip had to be abandoned due to a fall in a rut...very similar to his fall.
Big bikes are manageable but the weather can throw you an unexpected curve ball.
@@mohanramaswamy3598 I agree. I ride a GSA and would probably skip Old Bucktown Road and Duncan Ridge if it was wet.
Dude you have an editing gift. Run with this! Are you on AdvRider?
Enjoyed the video. I am sure i will complete sm500 soon enough
How did u like Smittys Lodge in Telico?
@rivertownrider7126 I made their sign that is on the front of their building. Been there many times.
Been to Smittys several times. Very nice hosts and facility to relax.
And that's way big gs suck mid bikes are the way to go
