We learn our multiplication math facts. Knowing our math facts, this is an example of multiplying the sum. But we don't need to memorize 12 times table. Because after the 9 time table, it all becomes redundant. I in this video, I talk about 12 x 6 and how using the idea of distributive property will help multiplying big numbers. Distributive property is multiplying the addends separately and then add the results together.
