Nice to see the 350 in the blazer! It really is fast!👌 this is for sure the most interesting car to follow here on youtube and learn about your upgrades. Its fun because you choose a good old smallblock and make great power and good times on 1/8. Keep up the good work, man! And take care!😃👍
I have a Vortec 350 in a 1993 Chevy c1500, it’s got a custom TBI built by SPR performance, a Summit racing intake, and a summit 8800 roller cam. I am getting EBL Flash II by Dynamic EFI for tuning, and it’s gonna get boost. Looking forward to getting at these gt45 eBay kits, was gonna supercharge but these turbo kits are a heck of a deal!
I am just in the Process of setting up my 98 ' Vortec SBE 350. I am glad to see that the SBE holds more than the "usual" SBC guys think or report. I am wondering what Power level do you get? have you thought about TB EFI with Timing control?
My Vortec 350 is making about 500 hp in this configuration. With a bigger cam, it will make 700+ hp. I do have a timing control, I have a MSD 6 BTM box. I'm pulling 1 degree per 1 psi boost. I will probably never have EFI, I just like carbs better.
@@sbcperformance413 what in your experience is realistic NA. Power and Boosted Power on a stock bottom end vortec 350? I bet you found your limits already. Reason I’m asking is I have a perfectly fine bottom end and don’t see a reason to go in and change it
@@sebastianhermeth2829 Well, I've seen people make 750 hp with a stock bottom end vortec 350. I like to keep my builds at 600 hp or less, because that is about the limit of what the rest of my Blazer can handle.
whats your total timing on 6lbs of boost? also 93 or e85? I have a stock bottom end 350, vortec heads, jegs .490/.490 cam, and gt45 turbo on e85. tuning it is a bitch and a half, but getting it there.
I have the MSD 6 BTM. I have the timing set at 32 degrees initial and the boost retard set at 1 degree per psi boost. So, at 6psi boost, It's 26 degrees. I run 93 and a Snow Performance water/methanol kit.
@ sorry to ask so many questions I’m doin my first sbc turbo build. Some one told me I need the oem knock sensor to help with detonation. Do I need the knock sensor or no?
So? What's your point? Anybody can take anything they want and do what they want to it, so does that make you a badass or something? He took a stock 350 and did it with it!! Suck on that shit!! ffs f'in' LS's smh

6’s @100 in the 1/8 is respectable af 💪
Damn that’s impressive, have fun!
That’s a low 11 second blazer in the 1/4!! That thing rips!

@sbcperformance413 that's plenty I was aiming for 550 absolute max
Which gt45?
The most common one on ebay, 69mm compressor wheel.
Cool little blazer brother. What cam are you running.
It's a stock 1995 LT1 Camaro cam. Specs are 202/207 @ .050, .450/.460 lift, 116 LSA.

Stock 7.5 with 4.11 gear
@sbcperformance413 stock spline axles? How much boost you leaving on?
@@infamousnova It has the stock 26 spline axles. Leaving on 2 psi boost

I think stock vortex out flow ported double humps
Yeah most of the time they do. I used these double humps because my vortec heads were cracked.
Exactly. You THINK. You don't know. There are plenty of people out there who actually know.
Definitely a nice setup…what transmission do you have?
TH350 with racing clutches and hardened sprag.
How much does it weigh
2990 with me in it

What is your estimate for a 1/4 mile? 92.84 seems really good to me. I'm old. Everything used to be 1/4 mile races.
Wallace racing shows 114 in a 1/4 mile.

Yes. The head bolts, rod bolts, and main cap bolts are all stock.

Carb
That has to be a nitrous shot launch.

Turbo not stock
