Welsh trainer Tim Vaughan has enjoyed a successful career, training over 800 winners to date & training Grade 1 winners in the UK and Ireland.
A former Champion Welsh point-to-point jockey, he became the youngest National Hunt trainer to record 100 winners in a season in 2012 & has gone from strength to strength since. Meeting Tim Vaughan with Simon Nott.
In Part 1, Tim talks about his background as champion Welsh point to point rider, then throwing his lot into training point to pointers as a permit holder with a handful of horses in a makeshift yard at the bottom of a mountain and how improving a horse from another yard attracted owner Andrew Lowrie which led to applying for and being granted a full license to train.
