Totally agreed. I got a cherry table knowing it would turn colors and love it, but I'm not as familiar with the more exotic/expensive woods. I think it would also be nice to see what some woods look like when damaged. For darker woods especially, if they get damaged, would the color underneath be lighter and super noticeable? Stained woods that's an issue.
I love these types of episodes where they just go straight down the line and show off every wood offering like that. I was practically drooling over how good some of them looked
I was just thinking to myself yesterday that I wanted another master vault and p-tray, and here you guys come with ALL THESE GORGEOUS PRODUCTS. Wouldn't mind some more acrylic and mag plates for my screens either. Might need to back just for the accessories!
All woods patina over time. Most domestic woods just get darker, but cherry is probably the most dramatic change. It goes from very clear with a tint of red to a deep brown. Most of the exotic woods have oil in them and will turn brown as well over time as the oil dries out. Purpleheart looks cool at first, but it can turn ugly. Sunshine will usually bring back the purple for awhile, but it will eventually fade completely.
This is how I felt when I started watching Wyrmlife. Honestly its kinda weird but it felt a little like a milestone when I was able to afford to buy some of their stuff. You got this !
Love the new Cleric set! Admittedly, the wood pairing you had for it when you first did CAP was bar none my least fav. This just looks _so_ classy (no pun intended). Sorcerer's interesting. I love that you can mix and match it with Thief, tho not sure if those would have been the colors I'd personally pick for the class (I'm nitpicking, i know).
Cleric dm screen, Dougie perspective: "I think this one is actually my favorite. I don't think it will sell the best, but that's because people don't have good taste." Gold sandstone was also his favorite gemstone dice 😂 FWIW, the Cleric dm screen is also my favorite 👍
@8:00 Doug statement - YES, exactly. If one gets a product with wood color variations (too much , ie not uniform enough) then Wyrmwood should absolutely make it right. A swap in this cases should be doable - some goes and hand picks the parts to be consistent and that replacement gets sent.
It would be cool if you guys would make matching dice rollers to go with the Adventuring party sets. I have the Thief set and would love a matching tower
I’ve commented on maybe 7 TH-cam videos throughout history. I’m commenting in readiness for the lookback analysis where you decide if more frequent uploads is better than fewer/higher quality uploads. Keep the daily updates coming. I don’t watch for the production quality and editing, while both great, I watch to follow the business and the personalities, and both of those are on full display in these daily’s.
Damn, yall are making some fine looking stuff! The sorcerer is gorgeous, the signature series is amazing, the cleric is super sleek, incredible work from the team once again!
As one of the select, elite few Druid buyers, I'd like to share why I went for druid: 1. I just really like the look of poisonwood (replaced in production with bolivian rosewood, wh/ is fine b/c still has the wood grain I like & technically a more expensive wood, so upgrade) 2. cherry, it ages well. Also allowed me to be more economical with choices of accessories. 3. Inverse of #3 - I won't buy ANYTHING from y'all with padauk or purpleheart, b/c I've done the research & know it ages like crap. If I'm missing something, I'm sure I'm not the only 1 and maybe there's an educational wyrmlife segment there. 4. other class options that didn't utilize padauk or p.heart were all very mono-colored. I actually got sent a necromancer panel by mistake, & while it looks a little better than what I expected my suspicions are confirmed, it has no contrast. The new cleric seems to have the same problem, except it's all white instead. So, to sum up the feedback: a. some of us won't touch padauk/purpleheart b/c we think it will age to look like crap, including brown color b. you need a bit more diversity in the class range, to have more contrast b/w woods without dependence on padauk/purpleheart. But what do I know, I'm only 15% of customers LOL.
Solution to the largest issue in woodworking. Webtool that has visual inventory of individual pieces and allow customer to choose which pieces they want. For monetization a few opportunities present themselves. 1. Continue as before with cost by material. 2. Individual auction for each board. (likely automated) 3. Product is ranked into price tier of which there are multiple for each material. Similar to GPUs (This is a top 5% Ebony for example.)
I plan on moving my D&D into my hex table once it arrives, wondering what the best setup for that would be since I wont have a vault 🤔 two panels and a tower on both ends?
Just my feel on stuff I was surprised by how good the cherry looked ;the black walnut still looking good; zebra wood looks great with the accessories but I am not sure about the actual gm screen with if the grain is off slightly it could look too busy; the canary wood it’s just beautiful but is it going to out price people because its not easily accessible supply?( but it is my absolute favorite); wedge wood it’s just great ; Bolivian rose wood I absolutely love on the gm screen;the combo woods based on classes they all look great but I agree with you about the Druid set the woods don’t stand out enough ;the signature series you guys hit it out of the park!prices? So excited for this release yet I haven’t heard anything yet about Halloween anything limited coming out?
Gawd I love that signature series. I wish that was available during the first KS since I would totally get that. Unfortunately can't get rid of my beautiful necromancer just for a cosmetic change. But will definitely get some accessories
Love my GM screen from the last Kickstarter campaign. I was a bit meh about the panels until they started showing off functionality (the tracker, magnetic panels, iPad integration are.. legit), and the thing that sold me was the double-sided dice tower and vault tower which are.. next level. I’m very curious if there will be any new innovations with this campaign that will make me want to dip back in🤔 One thing that might be cool is taking the “display” panel to the next level by just making it possible for a GM to place an iPad or an image on display for their players. I have a table display, but it’s not ideal to show a picture of an NPC on the table, especially if a player is currently talking to me as the NPC. Showing the NPC on the GM screen would be much more natural and it would help with immersion. Showing off a slideshow of images of a new location, having an overworld map constantly on display while a more local map is on the table could also help.. lots of applications and I don’t think it would take much to design something.. in Thief 😏
They did say in a previous video there’s a chance GM screens will be on the website once they complete fulfillment on this campaign. I’ll let them confirm whether signature series panels will be on there, but their confidence in making those unlimited during the campaign is probably a good sign. With ebony components, that set up would like.. pretty hot. Should take a year or so to completely fulfill this campaign so that should give you some time to recover financially from the wedding. Congrats!
Question: As a backer on the DM Screens last time, if I was to say, purchase up to a certain amount of accessories, would it be possible to get a carry case with my purchase? This is of course in the event the bundle idea for 3 panel orders getting a free carry case is still happening.
Are the hexagonal vaults or hexagonal gaming system going to be included in this kickstarter. I would love to add zebra wood and canary wood to my collection!
I got a druid display panel, and paired it with Cherry side panels. I wonder how many of the druid orders were done like that, rather than as a full set. I love cherry and rosewood, so its one of my favorite combinations. Even though I play rogue mostly lol.
Thief and Sorcerer together is SUCH a good combination. Sorc screens and accessories with Thief towers and trays? Hng! Guys. Stop causing me Problems(TM) - these things are just too dang pretty
I know I'm a little late to this party, but what are the chances we get towers that are class themed? I got the necromancer screen but skipped on the towers since there wasn't a perfect match to my screens.
So just to be clear, is it not going to be possible to get one of those signature series towers without buying the whole thing? Since they're still mostly dark wood, they would match nicely with the screen I got last year.
Would love to get signature series but not keen on all the Wyrmwood Branding everywhere. Would be nice if you offered an unbranded version of all products. (they could have a stamp on the bottom etc to stop people passing it off as their own)
Jason, if you're reading this: as someone who's medium tall between you and Doug, and someone who's medium bald, it's better to be all or nothing than in between. You keep doing you; can't wait for vest-weather.
A lot of these look beautiful, my only concern is price. I remember when the last KS went out I saw the prices and thought "That $25 or free DM screen will work just fine thanks". I understand spending that much on, you know, a table, but not a few panels of wood.
i totally get where doug and jason are coming from, talking about Matt Mercers GM screen. "It's all the same wood." "It has way more features than Matt's could dream of." that's irrelevant. people want Matt Mercer's GM Screen. Matt mercer's does have a different design and the hinges are different. in fact, the hinges on Matts imo give it a more rustic, medieval feel. The magnetic hinges, while more efficient and cheaper, give it s more modern look. Most, if not almost all D&D games are set in a medieval-ish fantasy world. (obviously people play different games too, but D&D has far higher numbers). Even so, i think a lot of people love critical role so much they just want an exact replica of Matts GM screen.
With Dog Might closing I might be interested in a GM screen since I bought a custom Dog Might screen and some WW GM screen accessories (last KS). Pricing will matter a lot.
Oh, tall and bald all the way. Though baldness really depends on if you have the scalp for it. Short and bald also looks killer (especially with Jason's beard) because it's just Dwarf vibes and I love that.
I bought Druid GM screens because I'm a big Black Poisonwood fanboy. I'm disappointed you changed it. There should probably be a Bolivian Rosewood screen, but not at the expense of OG Druid/Poisonwood.
Maybe take a picture of the final product and send it to the customer to check if they will like it before you send it out because the natural variation in color within some of these wood species is a lot.
Don't say"Mix and Match"... Say "MULTICLASS", Jason!
this!
+
yessss multiclass!
YEESSSSSSSSSSS!
“Short” and “bald” are not classes. 😢😢😢
Jason is just catching strays every episode. 😂 At least he got some gold stars.
You guys should have a slider or pictures that show how the wood aging goes couse god damn
Purple heart and Paduck will both turn brown with a hint of their original color. If you want an orange color Cherry is the way to go.
And even better how they get better with age; more golden and buttery, whereas purpleheart gets more purply.
This is now my daily morning routine. Thanks for the great start to my day.
Okay low key? Troy has just become one of my new favorites.
Damn, now I really regret backing the first kickstarter... that signature series is incredible!
I was just thinking to myself yesterday that I wanted another master vault and p-tray, and here you guys come with ALL THESE GORGEOUS PRODUCTS. Wouldn't mind some more acrylic and mag plates for my screens either. Might need to back just for the accessories!
Id love a video showing alota woods that aged a little bit year or so i didnt realize Cherry would change that much and im sure its not the only one!
Episode idea for a future MorningWood video, show the woods side-by-side new and with 1 year to age.
All the woods look pretty nice, to bad I can´t afford it. Keep it coming with daily episodes, is awesome.
This is how I felt when I started watching Wyrmlife. Honestly its kinda weird but it felt a little like a milestone when I was able to afford to buy some of their stuff. You got this !
Yeah this is one product I'd throw my money at if I could afford it.
I don't know if it's helping the viewer count or not, but I am enjoying daily updates. Thx guys.
Canary Wood, wow! Warlock, Cleric & Signature!! Looking good!
100% cherry is my wood of choice for for the classic woods. All if my favorite pieces are cherry.
I really love the Druid look personally
DM screen idea:
Double sided panels. With the magnet/metal strip on both sides so that you can present info to the players.
Still watching every day. This is the way! Keep it up.
Perfect play into an ad segment!!
Cleric dm screen, Dougie perspective: "I think this one is actually my favorite. I don't think it will sell the best, but that's because people don't have good taste."
Gold sandstone was also his favorite gemstone dice 😂
FWIW, the Cleric dm screen is also my favorite 👍
This is the comment I was looking for 😅 like Doug you like gold sandstone.
@8:00 Doug statement - YES, exactly. If one gets a product with wood color variations (too much , ie not uniform enough) then Wyrmwood should absolutely make it right. A swap in this cases should be doable - some goes and hand picks the parts to be consistent and that replacement gets sent.
Keep up the great content guys loving these daily videos👍
8:46 Don't forget your temple protection, kids!
Monday Morning Wyrmwood is the best Monday Morning.
It would be cool if you guys would make matching dice rollers to go with the Adventuring party sets. I have the Thief set and would love a matching tower
The songs in this one were banging

Great episode, fun to watch. Keep it up 👍 Might even splash a bit this kickstarter, if the shipping isn't too out of whack
Signature series by a mile! 🔥🔥🔥
Looks awesome! But why are the stairs in the towers all the same wood? Looks kinda awkward with the darker woods.
Damn, yall are making some fine looking stuff! The sorcerer is gorgeous, the signature series is amazing, the cleric is super sleek, incredible work from the team once again!
As one of the select, elite few Druid buyers, I'd like to share why I went for druid:

But what do I know, I'm only 15% of customers LOL.
The sorceror/thief mix and match is too good.
Also if you're trying to do everything a DM needs for game night, let me throw in a brewski buddy! 😉
Solution to the largest issue in woodworking.

Great choice for intro music. The rustic looks awesome, even if it is a lighter shade wood.
That signature series is straight fire.. and now that i know the single screen with the tablet tray stands on its own, i am in trouble
That Bolivian rosewood won me over, such a great looking wood on its own!
I did a survey you all offered through IG and basically hoped you would do something like this! Awesome.
I plan on moving my D&D into my hex table once it arrives, wondering what the best setup for that would be since I wont have a vault 🤔 two panels and a tower on both ends?
I agree with Doug on the Cleric combo, it looks like marble😍 But I also love the zebra wood 😁😂
I think I got everything the last time but super excited for it coming back. Mostly cause the surprises Bobby has cooking up.
Awesome episode! And fantastic work by J 'n Bennett!
Gawd I love that signature series. I wish that was available during the first KS since I would totally get that. Unfortunately can't get rid of my beautiful necromancer just for a cosmetic change. But will definitely get some accessories
Purpleheart has color changing properties like cherry and padauk do. So fresh vs older, exposed to sun vs kept in the dark. It all makes a difference.
Wow, the signature series is gorgeous. I definitely can't afford it but man do I wish I could. 😅
Curious, how long does the color shift take? Could wormwood like sun blast them under UV light.
So pumped to order one of these! It'll be my first WW product.
Love my GM screen from the last Kickstarter campaign. I was a bit meh about the panels until they started showing off functionality (the tracker, magnetic panels, iPad integration are.. legit), and the thing that sold me was the double-sided dice tower and vault tower which are.. next level. 9:40 - Problem is people who ordered Druid last time got Black Poisonwood, which looked great, but now we can't get matching panels.
Glad that you guys are bringing back all this stuff as a KS. But, what happened to the chair KS launching mid September?
Will join in for the accessories for this one for sure. Those towers seems like a great addition
I love this new upload schedule
I wish more than anything I could afford the entire signature series. However, wedding expenses must come first so lower price points here I come.
They did say in a previous video there’s a chance GM screens will be on the website once they complete fulfillment on this campaign. I’ll let them confirm whether signature series panels will be on there, but their confidence in making those unlimited during the campaign is probably a good sign. Congrats!
people tend to give alot of GIFTS to a wedding. if only someone could tell people what they really wished for, for their wedding...
@@Chajos not gonna lie, I consistently forget about people bringing gifts in the middle of all the planning. You, my friend, are lovely.
I wonder how feasible it'd be to put WW products on your gift list for the wedding.
I’m so into the classic adventuring party! I don’t know if they’ve done a ranger yet, but I’d love to see that wood combo
Bolivian rosewood for the win!! Gorgeous!❤
Question: As a backer on the DM Screens last time, if I was to say, purchase up to a certain amount of accessories, would it be possible to get a carry case with my purchase? This is of course in the event the bundle idea for 3 panel orders getting a free carry case is still happening.
Okay. CAP is back! I’m in!
I need a Druid set to match my screen. 😈
I don’t play DnD or have any idea how any of this stuff is used- but DAMN! I think I need to buy something. The stuff you guys make is INSANE
Tall and bald or short with hair and the pan to Jason took me out!!! lololol
Are the hexagonal vaults or hexagonal gaming system going to be included in this kickstarter. I would love to add zebra wood and canary wood to my collection!
I wanted Matt’s DM screen, couldn’t buy it so I made one of my own. Now I’m questioning if that was the best idea.
I got a druid display panel, and paired it with Cherry side panels. I wonder how many of the druid orders were done like that, rather than as a full set. I love cherry and rosewood, so its one of my favorite combinations. Even though I play rogue mostly lol.
Im probably going for the sorc for side pannels and a rogue center. Get the sorc vault and tower too.
The Signature Series is unreal.
I always appreciate the dunks on Jason, coming from another bald man haha. Keep up the great work guys! Loving the short dailies btw.
My man Jason got done DIRTY
Love all of the variations. Please offer fullfilment for Europe.
@Wyrmwood I think Jason mixed up the Master Vaults for Thief and Sorcerer. Either way, they all look amazing. I can't wait for this Kickstarter.
So just to be clear, is it not going to be possible to get one of those signature series towers without buying the whole thing? Since they're still mostly dark wood, they would match nicely with the screen I got last year.
Can't wait to see the photos of all of them, so I can stare at the shinys for hours. 😂😂😂
Would love to get signature series but not keen on all the Wyrmwood Branding everywhere. Would be nice if you offered an unbranded version of all products. (they could have a stamp on the bottom etc to stop people passing it off as their own)
I LOVE how my cherry dice vault aged from the first dice kickstarter
Dang it, let's see some of the Modular Desk work!
Is it me, or is anyone else loving the end of every video?
Jason, if you're reading this: as someone who's medium tall between you and Doug, and someone who's medium bald, it's better to be all or nothing than in between. You keep doing you; can't wait for vest-weather.
That Ebony tray that was yellow? That was my D20 from my wood set I got. lol
I have 6 regular dark ebony dice, 1 bright yellow orange d20.
Maybe the druid will age well, if the cherry needs time and sun to pop more, like how a druid gets better with levels
The age factor is why I will probably never buy ANY of their paduak or purpleheart products... that color just won't last.
love the new daily episodes
What wood is the table they're demoing on?
6:32
and thats the disposition of a dope CEO
I'd love to see a web page showing the progression of the various woods as they age.
A lot of these look beautiful, my only concern is price. I remember when the last KS went out I saw the prices and thought "That $25 or free DM screen will work just fine thanks". I understand spending that much on, you know, a table, but not a few panels of wood.

Bobby is too fun, this guy likin nunchakus, got ozzy osbourne red glasses. Dude is straight out of a highrise 1980s film
What is the Frogman miniature from 0:31 ? He is fantastic and i must acquire him
Oh, tall and bald all the way. Though baldness really depends on if you have the scalp for it. Short and bald also looks killer (especially with Jason's beard) because it's just Dwarf vibes and I love that.
Man I want those 4th edition Dnd books!
When is wyrmwood making wooden fountain pens??
Learned from the anime Seton Academy: Join the Pack, “Zebras are donkeys”
I bought Druid GM screens because I'm a big Black Poisonwood fanboy. I'm disappointed you changed it.
There should probably be a Bolivian Rosewood screen, but not at the expense of OG Druid/Poisonwood.
Canary wood! 😍🔥
Have you guys ever thought of using black locust wood, it's UV reactive
I agree with Doug that cleric is good looking, in matter of looks all of screens they are all great looking.
Maybe take a picture of the final product and send it to the customer to check if they will like it before you send it out because the natural variation in color within some of these wood species is a lot.
You guys seem so fun to work with
Oh oh oh, that wenge looks gorgeous!
